"You are attacked. Why? You do not know. All you were doing was going to a promiceing job interview when it happened. Knocked out and kidnapped you are taken to somewhere you don't know with a stranger and left, seemigly to die. Cut up and hurt you have to survive with your unknown partner to try and make it out of the wilderness alive. Or not."

Character:

Name: Drake Sithmore
Age: 20
Description: It's hard to say, since nobody really bothers to get to know him. He's definitely the quiet, dark and mysterious type - but not in the way that draws others to him. He most definitely pushes them away. Everybody seems to agree that the boy is just plain weird, so they avoid him. Even the bullying jocks leave Drake alone - maybe they're worried he'll perform some sort of satanic ritual on them?
Drake is, by society's common term, a 'metalhead'. He appreciates hard rock and heavy metal music, and dresses accordingly. He has a pair of piercings in his lower lip, another in his eyebrow, and he always keeps his raven-black hair long and perfectly styled. He has a somewhat pale complexion, suggesting that he doesn't get out much. This suspicion is seconded by his build, which is toned, but not overly muscled.
He's tall, too - not freakishly so, but definitely above average height.
He usualy dresses in black clothing, often adorned with studs and chains.

Polo and the Madeirey (Possible Mature Content) Empty My Characters and I Guess First Post

Rachael Black is a nineteen year old girl with the most confusing of personalities. Sometimes she can hold her own against anything, no matter her short size, but other times things seem to overwhelm her. Long, dark hair cascades down her back in slight waves put it is usually done up to keep it out of her angled face. Her eyes always seem to match the greenery around her, either it being a deep green to the light, highly saturated sheen. Her slim form is quick and agile but her weakness is her strength. She is a bit discreet, keeps mainly to herself. She is shy around people she hasn't met but opens up after a while. Her history is to be RPed out.

The small form of Rachael's being slightly stirred on the grassy floor of a unknown land. Wave after wave of pain washed over her mind and into the very fibers of her being. A small gasp escaped her shaped lips at the feeling. She forced her green eyes open and tried to focus on the area around her. Black dots appeared in her vision momentarily before sliding away along with the misty fog in her mind. What had happened? Last thing she remembered she was walking through a door to go to a job interview, a very promising one at that before- the revelation hit Rachael hard. She was kidnapped. She slowly sat up and inspected herself, cuts lined her bare arms and her red and agitated skin protested as she moved her hand along them. Unfortunately, her clothes had not been overlooked as her dark jeans were now torn at the knee as well as her slim-fitting, black t-shirt was ripped along her stomach line revealing a slice to her abdomen. She winced inwardly, I guess the interview didn't go to well, she thought to herself morbidly and looked around her. Her eyes froze on another figure on the ground, a man had apparently shared her own fate. She got her feet underneath her and stood up on her shaky legs, using a tree next to her for temporary support as she thought of what to do. She looked around her and saw that they were surrounded by forest land drifting casually upwards to white capped mountains. It would have been a beautiful sight had she been in any other situation. She closed her eyes and thought for a moment: Why was she here? What did the kidnappers possibly have to gain by throwing her in some remote land with no idea of what was going on? Taking a deep breath, Rachael attempted to calm herself down but a hard knot still remained in the pit of her stomach.

Drake woke up feeling as though he'd been hit by a bus. He was vaguely aware of his pillow feeling more prickly than it usually did, and he took a moment to try to locate the source of the pain coursing through his body before he stirred.
He soon worked out that it stemmed from an ugly, bleeding lump on the back of his head, several bruises to his abdomen, and a split lip.
That would explain the taste of blood...
Licking his lips irritably, Drake pulled a face and slowly sat up, gazing around him.
Where the Hell was he? If this was his lame college roommate's idea of a joke, then somebody was going to get f*cked the Hell up when he made it home.
He knew people didn't like him. They found his dark, introverted nature creepy - as though they thought he'd sacrifice them to the devil or something.
He wouldn't put it past those bastards to play a prank like this...

But no; the pieces didn't fit in that scenario. It was coming back now... Last night - if that was when it was - he hadn't been in the dorm. He'd been on his way to an interview for a part-time job as a computer programmer for a somewhat 'shadowy' company...
Groaning mildly to himself as he rubbed his head, Drake glanced around with narrowed eyes, and his gaze fell upon the girl beside him.
He blinked in surprise, recognizing her as Rachael Black - a girl from his college. He didn't know her well - Drake didn't know anybody well, since most of them either hated or feared him - but he had seen her around on occasion.
"Any idea what's going on?" He grunted vaguely - using the least number of words possible, as usual.

Rachael's eyes snapped towards the lone figure as he stirred from the black clutches of death. There was something familiar about him though. She combed the very recesses of her mind, wondering why he looked so familiar. A brief image appeared in the theater that was her memory, enlightening her with also a name. Drake Sithmore, that was his name. But what was he doing here? Why was he captured as well.
Rachael looked away from him for a moment, just thinking about it. Drake held no special interest in her, possibly because she never wanted anyone to hold a interest in her life. It was just to risky ever since her dad had died three months before.
She shook away the darkening thought, not for the first time. She couldn't dwell on that right now, of all circumstances.
Her green gaze drifted back over to Drake as he spoke. He expected her to know?
"Unfortunately not," Rachael said tensely in reply to his question. Shifting nervously in place, her head turned into the direction of a new sound. A animal? It was possible. Whatever it was, it disappeared as quick as it came.

Drake shrugged off Rachael's response, and patted his pockets absentmindedly. Of course, cellphone and iPod gone. Well that was just delightful...
Oh well - this wasteland couldn't go on forever.
With a sigh, he clambered to his feet, wincing at the pain in his head, and leaning against a tree for support.
Whoever had f*cked him up like this was going to get one Hell of a beating if he ever got his hands on them. Why had he been brought here, anyway? He just couldn't see the point.
Sighing again, and sounding frustrated this time, Drake pushed away from the tree, and stalked off further into the forest - just trusting his instincts to guide him in the right direction.
If he walked for long enough, he was bound to find his way to... Well, somewhere.

Rachael watched him go off into the forest without another word but for some reason she hesitated before walking after him.
What could possibly go wrong?, she asked herself and felt like hitting her head against the tree, this was so surreal. She walked after him though, if not slightly reluctantly to go off into the unknown. She had always heard that the unknown was frightening but it wasn't until this moment that she actually believe what they had said. The unknown WAS frightening and going off into it with someone you didn't trust just added to the feeling.
She quickened her pace on the forest floor beneath her to catch up to Drake. "How did you end up here?" she asked him, her curiosity making her say the words.

Drake glanced irritably at Rachael as she fell into step beside him.
What did she want? Was he suddenly 'good enough' now that he was the only person for miles around?
Ha - now that was good to know. Honestly, he was flattered.
Rolling his eyes sarcastically at his thoughts, he frowned at Rachael, and considered her question.
"Does it matter?" He asked at last, "Point is I'm here now, so I'm finding a way out."
He raised an eyebrow.
"How did you end up here? I take it you weren't having a picnic?"
Without waiting for an answer, he turned away from her and walked on into the forest, not bothering to slow his pace to accomodate her.
He had no idea what time of day it was... It could have been dawn or dusk. If it was the latter, he supposed he ought to be looking for a place to sleep. But first...
"I don't suppose you have any water on you?" He asked at last, glancing back at Rachael. It just just occurred to him that he was rather thirsty...

Rachael narrowed her eyes at his response and almost smiled, "Does it matter?" she retorted and lifted one of her dark eyebrows at his first question. She let him drift ahead of her and then matched the pace. Temperamental, much? she though to herself and rolled her eyes. This would be interesting.
She stepped over a small, rotten log in her way but it wasn't just a log to her. It was a indicator. Her eyes slowly scanned the matching colors of the forest and paused on a clump of moss. Another indicator.
Drake's second question made her eyes looked toward him once more. "Do I look like I have water on me?" she said sarcastically. Really, she didn't think she had met anyone so dull.
Offering up some information she pointed to where the earth sloped slightly downwards. "Might find some down there," she told him and without hesitation began the decent herself, looking out for anymore signs that would show her where the water was. If she was right, there would be a stream of some kind and hopefully she was right.

"Save the sarcasm!" Drake snapped back irritably. He had more retorts - but before he could say anything, Rachael pointed out where the ground sloped away, presumably leading to a river of sorts.
Well, wasn't that convenient?
With an irritable huff, he walked past her down the hill, feet sliding slightly in his haste.
When he reached the bottom, he found a dry river bed.
Perfect...
"Drink up." He said sarcastically to Rachael, "We've got a long walk ahead of us."

"Hypocrite," Rachael muttered at his words when she saw the dry earth. They had two to three days to find water before they died of dehydration. Wonderful.
Without another word she spun around on her heels and headed in the direction of the mountains, if he wanted to follow her that was his choice. But right now, she didn't care what he did, the only thing she felt was the drive to move onwards and to find a way back home. No matter the daunting prospect. If anything, the high ground would let her see a bit more of the lay of the land. Maybe she would be able to see buildings?

Drake watched scornfully as Rachael stormed off alone.
He couldn't say he was displeased. He always operated best solo - but he couldn't shake the feeling that it wasn't wise to split up. Saftey was in numbers after all...
He didn't know a thing about this place, or about how to survivein such an uncivilised Hell... And he'd bet his left foot that she didn't, either.
Still, if she thought he was going to follow her around like a lost puppy, then she was sorely mistaken.
He would find water, and he would find a way out. He was determined to.

With those thoughts in mind, Drake turned his back on Rachael, and stumbled uncertainly on into the unknown.

Faint footsteps told Rachael that he was walked away from her and at this moment she could care less. She steeled herself from the nagging sensation for her to turn around and began the climb up the lonely mountain.
Twigs snapped underneath her small feet and she walked, her legs beginning to burn after a while from the ascent. The air turned from warm to chilly in a matter of moments as she made her way higher up the pile of rocks and earth. Shouldn't she be looking for somewhere to sleep for the night? The shadow of the mountain was already casting it's darkness on her as she walked. Shaking her head she looked around. There was nowhere safe to rest in this area, she would have to walk on and hope that there would be something up ahead.
