Listen and remember!
The wind was a torrent of darkness among the gusty trees
The moon was a ghostly galleon tossed upon the cloudy seas
The road was a ribbon of moonlight over the purple moor
And the highwayman came riding, riding, riding,
The highwayman came riding,

The moon rose, but only to be blocked by the thick clouds above. A snow storm rolled in. Along with it came the howling winds and the bitter cold. Then the snow began to fall upon the West Galendring a kingdom. Within it were miles of mountains, valleys, towns and villages. The kingdom was so large containing the shores and the mountain range in the middle of the land. The rest was no man's land. Logan..already out of one smaller kingdom was crossing this no man's land. A land he knew like the back of his hand. This Glendring he knew nothing of, but they knew him all too well. Through his father. The generals he knew well..they've met before. And both of them have been on the run since. But by no means are they partners. Logan hates that man with a passion. If anything Logan wanted to right that man's wrongs. But due to the reputation that caught up with him. Can anyone trust him? He's turned sour. And as cold as the winter.

--not much of a PLOT but it describes what i think it can xD my muse is fizzling out XD--

Full Name: Logan DeAngelo
Nick Name: Logan
Gender:Male
Age:21
Height:5'6"
Looks- He has a face much like Chris Hemsworth mixed with Ryan Reynolds. (i have yet to draw him Dx)
Skin:Olive tanned
Build: muscular and toned.
Hair~
Color:Dark almost black
Style:down and shaggy.
Length:short down to ears
Eyes:Bright blue
Personality: Once he was so sweet, someone the children just looked up to, and made their mothers swoon. But being as respectful as he was, he let them off easy. He has a good heart, and a big one too. Filled with bravery, love and fight. Though as his father caught up with him..he began to change, because people didn't treat him the same. Now he is very sour towards people, especially new faces. Though he is still chivalrous towards women, he is also very firm with them. But Men? Forget about it, he turns into a bitter hard headed person. He certainly does not like to be pushed around, nor detained. Or even Contained. That was another reason why he was wanted by so many counties. He wouldnt spend a few hours in a cell before he found a way out. For he is on the run too from someone far worse than the authorities. But never breaking the law.

It's all good. XD

Saskia Lamberlla Ratatosk
She's called Ryker by her friends and affectionately by her family, as she prefers the name. The only time her real name is used when she's in trouble.
Female
Eighteen (I can change that if needed)
Her father has raised her like a son for a majority of her life because the girl's mother went up missing when the girl was only a few years old. She's a bit of a mix of a tomboy and just being an average girl. She usually hangs out with a group of guys that people see as the wrong crowd and she's seen as their ring leader.
Image Sketch
RPGing the rest out because I'm lazy.

[hehe we might need to change the age xD Razz]

"Well little brother, winter started" He said with a smile and handed the horse a treat from his pocket. The big dark equine munched on the cookie as his partner tied him up under the shelter of evergreen branches. Blocking the snow, and the wind thanks to the lower branches and other trees. His feet were heavy and large, feathered fetlocks and a thick mane and tail. He was all black, spare a few birdcatcher spots. After taking the saddle from his back Logan placed it on the ground, and began to set up camp for himself. Though he packed no tent, or supplies he could make it without them. He looked at a bunch of evergreen trees in a group with some low hanging branches that grew into one-another. Almost creating a cave over a flat stone. That was where he was going to sleep. He got lucky this time, usually he would have to break branches and fasten his own shelter from the evergreen branches. Looking up at the sky he saw that heavier and darker clouds were moving in. He took this chance to gather wood while he still had some moonlight left. Going out he gathered a couple logs, and branches along with dry needles he could use for kindling. When he came back he dug a small ditch to keep the airflow under the fire to keep it going for longer. Striking the flint against the blade of his sword the kindling caught and soon the fire was burning strong and hot. He laid back under his shelter close enough to the flames to be warm and rested his head on the saddle keeping the blanket up by his chin. His horse with his own fuzzy fur coat on was asleep, exhausted from the journey they had just made. Logan reached into his saddle bag and took a bite out of a piece of bread that he was given a few towns back that would hold him off until probably the next two towns he crossed. Now the only sound was the crackling of the fire, and the howling wind across the field just behind the trees.

Ryker sat on the heavy Percheron horse, as she kicked horse forward at any attempt to get the horse to bolt even faster down the crowded road, people diving out of the way of the creature she was on. She glanced back to see two of her friends trying to catch her and she could only laugh as their lighter horses somewhat weaved through the people, seeing the two toss the penny pouch back and forth, the owner was the the large bakery man who was chasing them for his profits, only stopping at a soldier on watch to help get his money back. Ryker slowed the horse beneath her as she leaned back some toward her gaining friends, snatching the pouch that was going to fly right behind her if she didn't. She took a left suddenly down an alley, no one getting in her way like on the main road, pushing the Percheron on till the animal was almost flying over the dirt path, heading to where the main road in town didn't have so many people on so the horses could outrun soldiers when needed, though she knew there was no hope for the girl in the boy's clothing to avoid them catching her. They always did catch her, because eventually she had to stop due to her father, lead of the guard in this tiny town in the kingdom. As she dove out of the alley way, she found herself at a small wall of soldiers, the heavy weight of the horse dropping down to stop quickly, but the girl knew better than to let the Percheron to stop moving now, seeing a gap in the human wall, pushing the horse towards it. The three kids tossed the pouch around to each other dodging done in an alley to com out another and pass it along. It wasn't till they finally were encircled by soldiers that to three day stopped joking and laughing around on their mounts. Ryker held her hand out for the pouch, glancing at her two friends. "Go, I'll take care of the rest." She said, knowing that they knew she could get out of what they would get if they just ran and hid long enough. The Percheron under her danced in place anxiously. She could understand the animal need to move. Moving was the one thing that kept them safe. Her friends took off one direction as she pushed the creature under her in the opposite, all of them pushing past the guards and she led the chase on through out the town for a little longer. She got back on the main street of the town, tossing the coin pouch back in the cracked door of the bakery, the large bakery man who was pacing before inside, cursed at her as he ran for the pouch. She looked back to watch when suddenly she felt the weight come down in a sliding halt, the animal shooting up in rear, kicking out at the knight before her, soldiers coming from behind. Ryker dark emerald green eyes glared down as she recognize the man as a friend. She sighed, knowing should couldn't run no more. She lean down against the huffing horse's neck to get herself more level with the man below her. He wasn't only a family friend to her and her father, this man was an officer below her father. "Oh, hel-" "Saskia Ratatosk. How many times must you be taken in before you learn something." The man who cut her off said like he was her father, of course, when her mother disappeared, the men in the guard had help raised her when her own father wasn't there to watch her. She glared heated down as she sat up, jump down out the saddle, the girl now having to look up at the man because of her actually small stature. "Well, Maybe never." She said, not bothering to talk more lady-like to him, grabbing the horse's reins. As many times as she done this, she just practically walked herself to the jail hold in the place were her father would wait for her, talk for a while, then discharge her of all crimes she committed, though the way she looked at it, she didn't do a thing this time, just gave the baker a scare and a thrill for her friends and herself. She knew a coin didn't leave the pouch, even with her friends that were once orphans and had to steal to survive, they knew better than to steal with her around because she'd have their head for all the times she did help them so they wouldn't have to steal. She sighed as the man let the soldiers that had chased her around the town return to their stations as he made sure she had went to confront the man who practically ran the tiny town. She left the Percheron go as they found their to the door, the man who made sure she made her way here taking the animal to the back of the building were horses we're held. She walked inside, from under her hat she could the middle aged man standing up from the table heading towards her, grabbing up the hat from her black, blue tinted head, the short hair falling in her eyes. "Hey, Dad..." She trailed off, getting ready to hear the usual lecture and end up sitting on the extra chair by the jail cells.

The morning light shown down through the trees on them that morning. The horse that was as black as night stood out against the blanket of snow that had fallen that night. Able to shake the clumps of snow from his fur, the grunt had awoken Logan, but only slightly, he stirred and turned over in his morning slumber. Then the horse began to dance nervously on his heavy feet. Snorting into the trees. Logan ignored it, his sleep was still heavy. But the snarl of a nearby wolf made him jump, almost right to his feet. He shot up and saw the brush moving and rustling; The frantic search for his sword immediately sparked in his brain as he rummaged around his things that were around him. Finding the handle he drew it and came from beneath his shelter. Then he saw his horse and moved near him. Then the air fell silent, as well as his horse. The threat had passed..for now. Logan had taken this chance to pack up and leave. The fire was well out and hidden beneath the snow. The snow that had fallen last night, not only froze the bread, but covered his boots. "Another storm like that, and you're sleeping with me" He told the stallion who was still on alert. Offering him a treat to calm his nerves he began to tack him back up. Logan never considered himself to be his owner. They were partners, they worked together, played together, and took care of each other. Logan called him his little brother, though his name was Cheveyo. He took the name from the Native American tribe from where he came from. It means "spirit warrior", to Logan he thought it fit well. So he kept it. Logan at a time, was the translator for a Cherokee tribe for the invaders that had threatened to take the land. His prize was Cheveyo. And from then on it was never one without the other. Logan mounted up and began to make his trek and moved on from this spot. He needed to stay out of the sun as much as possible, not only was it strong, but it was revealing, their silhouette would stand out strongly against the white earth around them. A risk Logan could not take, for he saw walls and villages in the distance. Which meant people, and in turn..law. By no means was he an outlaw, though many took him to be that ruffian that could not be trusted. His nose curled with his lip at the thought of the small minds of people and he huffed and turned to go deeper into the woods, away from this village.

She heard the man sharply exhale as she stood there, before he began to talk to his daughter. "All I told you to do is to go deliver a message to the Miller family. Saskia, did you even manage that?" "Yeah, I did-" "Still you manged to steal-" "I didn't steal, I gave it all back." "But still you managed to get yourself into trouble like some of those good for nothing boys you choose to be friends with. I swear you keep this up, just one more time, Saskia, I'm sending you to the city with your aunt." The girl immediately scoffed at her father threatening her with her aunt, a woman who prided herself on being even more lady like than a princess, or so thought the batty woman. She wouldn't let Ryker get away with any of her recklessness and her boyish ways. The girl would have to act like a lady then and that was something she was unwilling to face. She glanced up as her father began to say something but was quickly silenced when they heard the Percheron in the back suddenly squeal in a fighting manner at the same time as woman rushed inside the place. Ryker wasn't surprised by the sight of the woman, as she was one of the many farmer's wives that lived out of town, as to the Percheron's squeal considered her little. She knew the animal well, the creature never had an liking anyone but her and the person with the beast outside wasn't her. The woman, on the other hand, was in more of a condition to worry about, panting like she had flew here in a panic, which she had probably, and rattled on about seeing someone near by. Her father raised his hand for silence. "Please hold for a moment, lady." He asked calmly and kindly, before looking at his daughter, giving the girl back the coal boy hat. "Go take care of that beast in the back, now." He said to her, trying to not sound bitter at all, which he had almost failed to. She knew that the man never held malice towards animals, but the Percheron in which was in his care he would have sooner be rid of than to keep. The only reason her kept the animal was because the girl had made him. Ryker nodded at him, pulling the hat, fixing the hair to fit under it so it looked shorter before stepping out the back door, seeing the Percheron striking out toward the man who had led the creature here in the first place. "Macha." She said, quietly toward the horse, whose ears flicked back at the girl, trying to tug away from the human that had held her reins. The man looked at Ryker before letting the animal go and nodding at her. The large animal crossed the space quickly crossed the space to the girl as the man walked away and Ryker lead horse to the shelter of open stalls, taking a clean, empty one. The horse lowered her head as the girl ran her fingers through the animal's poll to brush the hair away from her eyes. The animal on her legs stood much taller than her at the withers, but still the two managed to complement each other so well. The animal she called Macha was creature that was destined to see the gore of a battle field, on a war front till her death. Her father bought the filly when she was just weaned, when Ryker was about eleven. The girl helped raised the horse, especial since her father wasn't always home for her, even though the animal would and has towered over her and would have to leave her for battle. That was until the animal had refused any person to sit on her to even travel a few steps. Even for Ryker, that was a hard deal to the animal. Ryker hard to work with her at night so her father wouldn't know because he refuse to let her try and work with the horse if he couldn't work with thing himself. It eventually took the two teaching each other thing. They weren't each others toys, respecting each other equal while at the same time not trying to take the lead from each other. They had to work together. As far as the mare's name, it was the name of an Irish goddess who had two other sisters that help control war. The sister she chose control more than just war. Macha, the goddess, controlled horses and sovereignty as well. The Percheron maybe be different than the said goddess, but still the name fit for her, Ryker believe. The horse was almost sold a few years back, someone finally came along that was willing to take her, by Ryker refused, and took off on the creature. Her father realized then that her couldn't sell the horse and had to make a search party to find them. Of course spotting the big, almost all white Percheron, that is, if out in the open would have been nothing. Ryker had hid themselves way outside of town in an abandon windmill. The girl rub the horse's face gently as she pulled out the apple hiding in her pocket before the creature went on a hunt for it, grabbing a small pocket knife out of saddle. She cut the apple in half, taking one half for herself, the other out towards the horse. She never did much talking to the Percheron, she always had this sense the two knew what was on each other very well, not needing words to know each others feelings and moods. The girl turned as she heard her father come to the back, walking to one of the horses. "The lady in there, you know the farm that's in the far south part. Can you run food to her kids. I need her help to track this man she saw." He said. Of course she had no choice as he suddenly on the horse and left before saying any more. "So much for a break..." She muttered, jumping back on the Percheron, a feat for the small girl. She kicked the horse along to her home quickly, to gather some food and a grab her sword. She'd never leave town without some form of protection. It wasn't long before the pair was leaving the town with the food and the girl ready for any run ins of unwelcomed company.

(Sorry took so long, I've been so busy the past four, five days and then writer's block hit me half way through today.)

[thats fine xD sorry i took so long too X3]

The memories flooded Logan's mind; all of the damage his father caused to both him and everyone he came into contact with. His grip tightened on the reins and he growled softly in frustration. Cheveyo picked up on it and he let out a sigh with a puff of steam from his nose and turned his head around and nuzzled Logan's foot. Snapping him from this trance Logan softened his grip and looked down at his horse with a smile. "I'm sorry little brother" He whispered and patted the equine's neck. He couldnt help but feel the vibe that Cheveyo was giving off. This gave Logan a chance to breathe and cool off. He reached up and took a handful of snow and put it on the back of his neck that grew hot with emotion, and it helped a little in bringing his anxiety down. If his anxiety got out of control there was no knowing what he would end up getting himself into. Logan can get snappy, and get a chip on his shoulder when his emotions start up. He looked behind him and it was silent and grey with snow that fell from the sky and the trees. Though it was fairly silent, only the crunching of snow and the wind broke what silence came around. Logan turned back around and clicked his tongue. To get the blood pumping in both of them he brought Cheveyo up to a light lope to gain some ground. After spotting a storm behind the mountains he had to get to town before nightfall, there was no way they could make it safely through that storm.

(And I am sorry again! *Hangs head* My regular computer went down and I had to find the site again while I wasn't busy, which the past month and a half has been crazy for me, especially at my birthday. kfjkdjgfd... v-v )

The dark haired girl raise herself slighting in the saddle giving a nudge to the mare's sides, the large equine beneath her picking up pace to a trot. The rhythm of the equine, despite her size, was even, smooth. Ryker had no issue with being bounced around with the Percheron with the good gaits the animal held. No one really got to know that much about Macha, due to her unwillingness of letting other people on her but the persistent girl that sat her. Ryker held the leather reins her left hand as her right dangled loosely towards where the weapon she carried was at. Despite the fact she was a girl, she was still taught things that boys only got to know from their fathers, but she was an only child before her mother disappeared, so she was as much as a son to her father as well as a daughter. Though, being treated like she was a boy made her act much like an unruly child to the others that looked at her and found out that she was a girl. Most thought first looking at her that she was a young boy instead of a girl at all. Perhaps the only reason why her friends respected her like they did. She could fight like any man, sometimes even best them, and getting on her bad side was never a good thing. The girl shivered slightly from the cold air the flowed around her. Unlike her lucky companion, where she could grow a nice thick coat to keep herself comfortable in this wintery day. The ruffian girl glanced down at the Percheron. "Should have grabbed my extra cloak, Macha... It's actually freezing today." She muttered, the horse whickered back in response, as if she was agreeing in a worrying manner. She sighed as she lowered herself in the saddle a bit more. "Maybe if we hurried up there, I can warm up there and then after these kids all eat, we can head home and be comfy." She gave the horse a sharper kick and the horse quickly moved into a gallop. She knew where she had to go, but instead of taking the road all the way, Ryker decided to cut through the woods. That would get her pretty close to the house that she need to be getting to faster with the rapidly cooling food in her saddlebag she wrapped for the kids. She wasn't really a fan of children, but she dealt with them if she had to. It wasn't normal for a girl to be like that, not at her age as it was. Most girls her age were already married and having children, but to her, those things didn't matter to her due to her lack of caring over such things. But that was perhaps why her father was threatening her with her aunt. He was probably was thinking it was time for her grow up and be a lady, but Ryker hated things like that, absolutely hated it. And she knew if she went to her aunt's to live, she'd have no ultimatum about the whole ordeal, she'd have to actually start acting like a lady. Even though she'd have to straighten up to stay, her father meant by straightening up as in being a lady as well. In the end of this never ending battle, she was on the loosing side that was fighting inevitable. Her only option now was to face the music or march to the beat of her own drum, either one would be rather hard to do. As well, she was certainly wasn't going to start acting like a lady now, so her only thought was to run away. But she wouldn't be able to run on her own. Everyone under this kingdom would be out to find her, order by her father. The man probably couldn't bare the thought so easily of loosing his only child, after his wife went up missing, but what more was she left to do other than do something she was completely against. The girl shook her head slightly, raising her hand only to fix the hat she wore to ensure didn't loose it while clinging to the horse's reins and sides.

(Kind of short... =\)

*bounces* CHEETAAAHHH Very Happy *hugs* tis okay :3 i havent been on much Sad and AGH happy belated birthday x3 I dont even know whats going on xD which causes for an even later reply xD i have to read over it again x3 teehee ^^ and my latest obsession may tweak my characters personality Wink XD]]]

Logan twisted in his saddle before he reached the end of the trees into the valley and brought out his cloak. The wind beyond the cover of the trees was bitter. That he knew. He could hear the howling down in the valley, and he was a couple miles out. "Might as well start warming up now huh, little brother" He said with a smile and draped the cloak that he purchased with his horse in mind. He may seem crazy, but that was him. There was a method to the madness. But it did get lonely out here, and the only person who understood and never judged him was his horse. The unconditional love Cheveyo offered him, was more than what he could ask for from any woman, and even his father. Who, from the time he could remember, he strived to make proud. Though, he remembered he reached a point in his life where he just gave up and began doing things that would make himself feel good. And that was trying to give back what his father took from society. Their peace of mind. But as with all good deeds, bad luck rears its ugly head. And things were always blown out of proportion and soon the reputation of his father, stuck with him. He looked to the sky from beneath his hood and saw the dark clouds beginning to roll in. and a few flakes of snow were shook into his face from the winds that swept through the trees. He looked down and watched more snow fall from the treetops with the prevailing winds above. This storm was going to hit very soon, and he knew that much. Once he hit the valley he had to cross it in good time. But being so much out in the open, who knows what or who might be out there patrolling around the town that was in that area.

Ryker felt the heavy equine slow to a fast pace trot through the trees, not wanting to charge recklessly and cause something tragic to herself or her rider, but follow the request of her companion to keep on going along quickly. The air was bitter, as the snow of the storm began to fall, though the worse was yet to come. From the looks, she'll be stranded with the family in their home while her father searched for the man the woman swore she saw. Honestly, the ruffian girl thought the women of these farmers are half mad, due to their isolation to their land, but sometimes those mad women keep things, time to time, she had to give them that. Still, she thought them as batty as a crazily sick animal. She felt the horse suddenly stop at a sound she couldn't quiet make out over her own animal beneath her, but she could tell Macha was looking around, nervously. The horse knew sounds were never a good sign, especially in the woods. It could be many things. Ryker listened for a moment, but because she could process anything, the cold blast of air the cut out in almost the same moment as it came, cut through her, and continued to come in and leave, now knowing of a change in wind. "Come on, Macha. Keep going. Maybe we'll be gone before someone shows." she told the large creature, tapping her sides with the boots. Despite curiosity right now, Ryker knew it was too cold for her to be wondering around in this weather, unlike the fluffy equine with her winter coat. Once she finally convinced to horse to begin moving again, the horse did move a lot more quickly, though carefully as she hated on letting herself and her rider getting jumped on. Ryker didn't complain, know the horse was only reacting on instincts. As she finally reach the end of the woods, the snow had started to fall heavier with faster gales, as she pretty much expected. She hoped her father finished his search so he didn't get caught in the storm full fledged. Despite not liking his threats to send her off so she'd be a lady, she still cared for the man like a child raised by a man like him. He did mean well, in all his tries, she understood that, but still, she wasn't willing to give up her freedom she's gotten too use to. She pushed the horse towards the back of the house's for one of the sheds, opening it, dismounting and leading the horse inside. She began to remove the tack off her horse since she didn't know how long they'd be sitting there on the property. "Now, be nice to the others in here. This is their home, not yours." She warned the creature. She huffed back in the manner of a sarcastic, but agreeing, way. The animal really didn't have an issue with the animals that stood inside the shed, chickens, goats, pigs, and such, but she knew the equine sometimes had issues with other of her kin and humans as well. She patted the horse's withers before pull the saddle off her back, hanging it on a half wall, removing the bridle, and laying it across the saddle. She then undid her saddlebags and left the shed, closing the doors behind her and headed for the house, knocking on the door. "Anyone home?" She was about to say more but a little boy, probably three years old. "I have some food for while your mother is out, may I come in?" She asked the child quietly. Soon another boy, older by on a few years finished opening the door for the littler boy. "Sorry! He's shy of strangers. You said something about momma?" "Um... Yeah, she'll be out for a little while. There's a storm hitting the area pretty badly, but I ensure she's fine. She'll be back when it clears over." She said, stepping quickly out of the weather, putting the bag on the table, soon grabbing the food out for the children, which a couple of girls and another boy came from the upstairs. She then went over to the fire and settled down by the fire, going back to the thought of her father, hoping the man finally goes back to town and waits the storm out.

(Sorry so short. I'm tired and I have school tomorrow and all.)

[short?! mine feels so small ._. x3]

The valley was going to be a challenge to get across safely and quickly. But an untouched, unfamiliar blanket of snow over a valley, all he could see were the rolling hills. There was no telling what could be beneath the packed ice and powder. Or even what dangers were lurking in low places, along with high places. But Logan was gifted with that sense, he became familiar with his surroundings very quickly, and could pick up on subtle things. Without that, Holmes would definitely throw him a few times after some of the adventures they've taken. Logan pulled the horse to a stop and he turned his side towards the open field. Being such a strong black against the white valley was just asking to be seen. But there was no way around it that wouldn't serve them death on a silver platter. "Shall we crack on then?" He asked his horse who snorted beneath him and stomped the snow from his hoof. Holmes picked up on his apprehensiveness and he turned his head touching his outstretched lip to the tip of his boot reassuringly. "Alright," He said to himself and took in a deep breath and saw that the ground in front of him, even covered in snow was flat and level enough to run on. the fallen trees and rocks almost lined a flat path, in his mind he could map out his route across the valley. He turned Holmes around and faced the woods, Holme's navigation kicked in as well, and he began to dance on his heavy feet, reared up to go and as he came down Logan spurred him forward and they took off like a black bullet across the flat plane of the valley.
