Laboratory Defects

[I'm creating an RP or two the way most RP's are created - stemming boredom from waiting for other RP's to update. I figured to best get the idea down before I lost it: ]

Dr. Larson made his rounds.

Level 9 was a loud hall, full of screeching and raging animals behind shimmering forcefield-barriers. Each and every one of them were test subjects, contained from the public eye with all kinds of intent, from curing cancer to uploading their minds via chip onto the Internet. Dr. Larson liked to think that this private and heavily-funded facility was making for the greater good of humanity, ridding the world of unwanted and troublesome people and animals, from strays to the brow-beaten homeless. This service kept the streets clean, eliminated the lower class citizens and possibly disease carrying animals as well.

"Good morning, sunshine," he crooned gently, arranging the control of his wrist-monitor to walk through the forcefield with no ill effects. The subject in question was a true animal no longer; but a former potential turned into a joke. Everyone had primarily thought that a monkey/hybrid would be interesting; but as it had failed, the final act was to string a pair of cheap wings on its back for the company mascot: Ontario Science, OS, or Oz, as they called it.

The simian-sapien was curled into a deep sleep. The fore of its head had been split to allow a large technological mechanism with bare wires in the front, and it slept on, as Dr. Larson gave it its shot. "See? Didn't hurt at all, did it? And just think of what you'll become when we recycle you."

PLOT:

It's a dawning 22nd century of technological marvels, and most of it is thanks to animal testing.
Level 9 are the potential 'defects'. They are mutants, failed or unwanted projects, both once human or once animal, kept against their will in this facility. But a revolution will turn itself upon the fat and the rich, and retribution will be at hand.

But first, they have to escape.

*Each Subject has a band/collar and chip installed; the band can only be taken off with special tools, and the chip is bio-degradable, but only a tracker. You do have human allies on the outside, those against Animal Testing and Cruelty, but those Allies are ironic in that the testing has allowed them to protest for forty years longer (for now, the human lifespan has been lengthened to almost over a hundred years.)

Oz is a technological gauntlet. Escape is nigh impossible.

But maybe the animal in you disagrees.

[Pfft. Scat is another word for poop. If anything it's Scatty. *cough* Kira *cough* She's made to look like one and kind of be like one. She can sometimes fly, and has some sort of farie enchantment she can use to h y p n o t i s e you. Bah.]

[As long as it has a scientific/logical backup; its the Section Rule for >Animals. There's no magic allowed.

Have you ever heard of "Scatman John"? "Scatting" ain't "Shipping" (and yes, I said SHIP and you know what I mean <.<) when it comes to that guy xD But if scat is poop, don't that mean that a scat-hatch is a porta-potty? teeheehee.]
