'Yeah..uhhh.....I can't come out...uhhh......' I struggled to find a reason. She was the only person I knew I would be able to be normal around.

"I'll protect you" Jake whispered into her ear. "JAke said he'll protect me. He's brave" She smiled. Completely unaware she was in the arms of a vampire and her bestfriend was a werewolf...

No! 'Look...you gotta run! seriously!' Although I was sounding panicked, my fingers flexed, itching to clamp themselves around Jake's neck. My bulging muscles tensed, trying to restrain myself.

Jess shook her head, Though screamed as soemthing sharp ran down her neck. "No Jake, that hurts." She spoke, trying to get away. Jake smiled. "It wont hurt...I just want tyo see something" He spoke

NO! That was it, I leapt out of the bush I was hiding in, knocking Jess out of his grasp and throwing her onto a fern bed. I snerled at the vampire.

Jess screamed, ehr arm cutting slightly, as blood and gore flew Jake snarled at Sam, edging towards the human. He stayed in a crouched position his fangs fully extended as he threatened to bite.

hackles raised, I advanced on the vampire. 'Come for an afternoon snack?' I snarled, trying to make my voice sound different to Jess. What she didn't know wouldn't hurt her, and I wanted her exactly the way she was. 'You leave her alone.'

"W-Whats going on Jake? Sam? Where are you?" Jess asked as she moved, tears streaming as she held her arm, shaking in. Her fringe was in her face, hididng most of the pain. "Jess. This is Sam. She's a wolf. And you, young human are about to become my meal" He hissed

I rushed forwards, grabbing the vampire round the neck and holding him against a tree, several feet off the ground. 'No one lays a hand on her.'

"W-W-Whats Jake?" She asked, shaking as she moved closer, though as Jess moved Jake struggled, wriggling trying to get to Jess.

I couldn't take this. If I killed him, it'd be with Jess forever. Instead, I chucked the vampire over the woods, and he went slamming into a tree. I ran over to Jess, and scooped her up round the middle, slinging her over my shoulders with ease. I headed into the woods. Anywhere away from here.

'Are you stupid?' I snarled at Jess when I put her down, some 20 mins later. 'You could have been killed!' I was still having to discuise my voice.

I grabbed her and pulled her back. 'He's a VAMPIRE. One of the foulest creatures on the planet. You don't want to mess with them.'
