I shook my head. "Maybe the better thing to say is that you, Ria, don't know me." I said with a small smile. I glanced around, examining the corridor. Quite a small, closet-like hall, cold, damp walls made of dark gray brick like everything else in the prison. I sighed and shook my head again.

Ria glanced up, her eyes meeting his for a second as she shot him a questioning glare. How did he know her name? And was it even possible for someone to know someone else when that person didn't know them? She bit her lip and shook her head, glancing back up at him and then back to the bland walls.

I stifled a chuckle. "Simple. If I didn't know about you, I wouldn't be helping you, now would I?" I asked softly. I was scaring her, that much was apparent.

Ria cocked an eyebrow, allowing her bangs to fall over her other eye. "Someone may know of another human being's existence in a place such as this without knowing their name..." she murmered, fear and a bit of aggrivation mingled in her voice.

I smiled slightly. "Yes, they can." I said simply. The fear in her voice was quite obvious, at least to one like myself. I shook my head, just imperceptibly.

Ria grumbled something under her breath to herself before shoving herself up off the ground. "Can we just get out of this dump???" she inquired, brushing off the back of her jeans from habit even though it didn't matter because she already looked like crap.

I smiled slightly. "I was waiting, simply, for you to gather courage." I whispered, rising from the ground. I glanced out the entrance, beckoning her to come.

"Yea. Of course you were..." she mumbled, slinking out behind him. The limp still dominant in her step as she attempted to shrug it off.

Ria stayed quiet behind him, staying about a foot behind him at all times. Her eyes continuously wandering the walls which seemed to mimic the past hallways.

I jogged past a door, not wanting to know what was behind it. "The exit should be somewhere relatively closely..." I muttered.

I smiled. "True, but I've memorized this place fairly well." I said, turning into a long hall with ceilings that towered over us.

I crept around another turn. The door was visible now, the light from the moon barely highlighting the outside.

Ria sighed and followed after him. Her hands gently running along the brick walls, coolness shocking her a bit. She bit her lip and then glanced around the corner, a bit of light shining into the hallway...

I looked at my mental map of the place, wondering where guards would be posted. I sighted a small closet-like thing, and held my hand out behind me, signaling her to wait. I returned, holding two outfits, identical to the ones the guards were wearing, with a small smile.

Ria looked at the clothes, disgust filling her face as her nose crinkled up. She didn't want to wear something those people had worn. But, she guessed if she wanted out she'd have to. Silently, she slipped it on over her clothes and continued to stay silent.
