Badger was born into a poor family. Poor in money and poor in life. His father is always drunk and his mother is rarely home. He is an only child, a child that wishes he was never born. He is constantly trying to get away from his life and everything that is going on. Can you help him over come his wants to be never born?

Badger hurried out of the house ignoring his father's useless screaming slurs as he slammed the door and walked down the path to the sidewalk. The day seemed cloudier then it had earlier, but then again even the sunniest days couldn't warm Badger's cold heart. He pulled his black hood over his head before trudging down the road, scuffing his feet slightly as he pondered if he was going to school or not. He figured he might as well or else his father would find out and that wouldn't go over well. He let out a grunt when he tripped but caught himself with his rough hands and pushed himself back up to his standing position. He hiked his backpack higher up on his back before deciding to wakl slower. Who cared if he was late, just so long as he got there.

Sierra was driving down the road in her car and saw a kid from her school walking down the sidewalk.She noticed it was Badger. She pulled over and said "Hey,Badger,hop in, I'll give you a ride to school"

Badger scoffed when he heard someone pulling up behind him. Turning slightly to see who it was he noticed it was Sierra. When she offered to give him a ride he simply shrugged before walking off the sidewalk and to the passenger's side of her car. Swinging the door open he climbed in and shut it again in one swift movement. He didn't feel like taking today, so if she was planning on talking, he wasn't.

Sierra was about to say something then noticed the look on his face and shut her mouth

Badger tapped his hand on the door as they drove to school. He was silent, like always. Somehow he always messed up badly when he tried to talk to someone.

Sierra pulled over right before they got to school. She turned to Badger and said "Okay, look, I know you probably don't want to talk but I do. Why do you act so distant when you're near someone else?"

Badger grunted when he heard Sierra's words. He really didn't feel like talking about this this. Rolling his eyes he turned to look at her. "Why does it matter?" He muttered.

" Have you ever thought that maybe there'd be people that actually want to get to know you?" she replied

Badger's eyes became dark and he narrowed them at her. "They'll regret it in the end." He hissed before unlocking the car door and preparing to get out.

"Badger, wait," she says, "some might, but others won't. Go if you want to."

"You don't know what I've done Sierra," Badger said with a twinge of saddness to his deep voice. "And you never will."

"I would if you'd tell me, people really do care." Sierra said with a hurt tone.

"You'd never talk to me again," Badger said before running his tongue over his lips nervously.

"And how would you know that?" Sierra said in a challenging tone

"Because I do." Badger fought back narrowing his eyes slightly. "Trust me, you wouldn't. My own parents don't even talk to me. All they do is scream." A small bitter smirk appeared on his face.

"That's them though, isn't it,not me. People are different; some yell, some care, some just forget about everything." she said smiling weakly.

"Trust me," Badger said as he climbed out of the car, "You won't forget or forgive."

"Say what you want, but at least let me finish taking you to school.I'll quit talking." Sierra said as he climbed out
