Alicia continued to pluck the fruit from the branches with an easy flick of her wrist. The hot sun beat down on her, and although she tanned nicely, that didn't stop her from sweating. She stopped and ran the back of her hand across her forehead yet another time.
Colton laughed. "You're so dramatic." He teased.

(Fine, I won't.)

Alex rolled his eyes. "Don't be mean to her." He called, for he was about 50 yards away. He looked at Alicia supportively, but continued to strip the branches of the delicious fruit. They looked like blackberries, but they weren't. Someone ate them on accident, and although the days were stressful as she waited to keel over from poison, it was worth it. The fruit was edible.

Alicia rolled her eyes, but moved over by Alex and smiled. "I can stick up for myself, big boy." She snickered and grabbed a small berry from his basket, twirling it around in her fingers before popping it in her mouth. She flashed him a grin. "The death berries are good."
