Moonshine and Blacketh

Ryleigh Anne Summers. A rather normal - if not boring - name, most would say. Except for how my first name is spelled. You wouldn't believe how people wreck the pronunciation. "Ree-lee?" "Ray-lee?" "Ry-leg?" I mean seriously people, sound it out! That's pretty much the reasoning behind my nicknames. I just tell people to call me Ry, Ryl, or Daisy. I absolutely love the song Daisy by The Maine, so some of my friends decided to start calling me Daisy, and the nickname just blossomed. No pun intended. My looks are 'interesting', or so I've been told. I never really knew if that was meant in a good or bad way, but I guess I'll let you be the judge of that. My hair is a rich, chocolate-like brown colour, like milk chocolate mixed with a lighter milk chocolate. Make sense? Good. My eyes are baby blue, which is one of the reasons that Baby Blue Eyes by A Rocket To The Moon is my absolute favourite song, yes, even before Daisy. I consider myself a hopeless romantic, which could be why I have always wanted a guy to sing me that song. Yeah, I know, pathetic. I've heard. I stand at a height of 5'7", which explains why I have somewhat long legs. My skin has a natural tan to it, as I love being outdoors, whether playing sports for fun or just hanging out at the beach. What shocks a lot of people is that I have a tribal style tattoo of a heart with what looks like it could be the tail of a shooting star - though with swerves and pointy ends of things - on my lower left arm. I make friends rather easily, but also have a few enemies due to various situations. I can be loud and rebellious, but also have a softer side. I don’t really fit into a ‘mould’ or clique, which some people don’t like for whatever reason. It doesn’t bother me at all, though. I like being different, being me. And hey, that’s all that matters, right?

The name’s Kaleb Porter Summers. Different, I know, and the K isn’t a typo either. It’s a family joke, what was going on in my parent’s head when they named me and my younger sister, Ryleigh. We both have unique names, and I personally like it. It sets me apart from others. You can call me Kaleb, Kale, or Dust. I sandboard, BMX and dirt bike, so that’s where “Dust” comes from. I take after my dad when it comes to my looks. My hair is naturally jet black, cut in a shaggy style, while my eyes are a smoky grey. I guess that’s why people have a hard time believing Ry and I are siblings. I have the same natural tan as her, though, as I am usually outside playing sports or working on cars and sport bikes. I’m the type that will crack jokes about anything and everything, and I’m not afraid to insult myself, though Daisy is usually the subject of my harassment. I don’t really have many enemies, but if you get on my bad side, you’ll easily become one. I’m not the most forgiving person at times, I guess you could say. But hey, take it or leave it. If you don’t like it, walk away. Simple as that.
