Lab Rat [Another Needed, Maybe Two]

I managed to raise my head enough to glare at the men that had entered my room, one of them holding a rather scary looking rod.

Kitty shook hsi head, looking away in refusal and staring at the ground with a solemn expression.

The man pointed the rod at my chest. Another walked up close to the glass. 'If you want to keep her alive, you will talk to her. You'll tell her the questions we order you to otherwise she'll get the bad end of the stick.' He chuckled.

Kitty whimpered and looked over to her, biting his lip befre nodding reluctantly.

'You will ask her why she is here and why she she came here.' He ordered, nodding to the man holding the rod. He pointed it closer to my chest menacingly.

Kitty closed is eyes "Why are you here?" he asked quietly.

I clenched my jaw and sealed my mouth shut. I wouldn't tell them. 'Why should I say?' I asked bitterly.

Kitty grimaced "Because I don't want you to end up hurt, or dead." he stated.

'I don't want to talk.' I said finally. The rod dug harder into my chest.

Kitty winced "Please.." he said softly, a pleading edge to his tone.

I dragged my gaze to the floor. 'I'm here because...because they exiled me.' I said in a sigh.

Kitty frowned "Oh...I-I'm sorry.." he said softly, chewing at his lip.

I shook my head. The man laughed. 'Looks like she only answers to you, mate. Ask away.'

Kitty winced "W-Well then why did you come here?" he asked quietly.

'Because humans are so stupid.' I gave a humorless laugh. 'I thought I could be one of you. But-'

Kitty blinked "But?" he pressed.

I turned my head and glared at the man. 'But I was wrong.'

He chuckled. 'I think we'll leave you two to have a nice little chat.' They men left the room.
I tried to stand, and achieved that, but wobbled slightly, and had to lean against the glass.

Kitty sighed, hauling himself to his feet "I-I'm sorry.." he said quietly.

I shook my head. 'Yeah, I am too.' I walked over to the wall and slammed my fists against it. 'I could be so much more.' I said to the wall, staring hard at it as if to hope I might burn a hole in it. 'So much more.' I repeated, a silent tear rolling down my pale cheek.

Kitty longed to be able to comfort her, instead standing there watching her with a frown "I need to find a way to get myself out of here.." he grumbled.

I spun around to face him, horrified. 'Do you not think that's what I've trying to be working out for the past 40 years? Congratulations when you find a way without being beaten to death about it.' I huffed, pacing the room.

Kitty raised his brows "Yeah...but if I'm a scientist in training...then wouldn't I have acess to the outside world if I need it? Which may include a late night trip out...with some luggage I need to deliver?" he questioned.

I rolled my eyes and turned back to the wall, leaning my head against it.

Kitty rolled his eyes "You don't get it..do you?"

I turned to face him. 'Well, naturally, I'm cleverer than you.' I said incredulously.
