Conner walked outside, not exactly sure what to do now. He played with his phone in his poket, switching it on and off frequently. He was oftn bored like this, being the new kid in town, and most of the kids didnt really talk to hi, not that he minded.

I love summer! I thought as I spiked the volley ball back over the net.I was down at a local man made beach practicing volleyball with some of my friends/team mates,and having a blast.I was probably the most sportiest girls at my school because I played volleyball,soccer,softball,basketball,I was on the swim team but quit this year.As the ball came back over the net both my friend and I dived for it,and we still missed.We lay on the ground laughing like everyone else,then everyone sat down for a break and started talking about the guys who were on the beach.

Conner decided to go to the beach, he walked down the small path, already in his swimsuit, and arrived on the beach. he found a good spott, near a volleyball court that a bunch of girls were sitting near, taking off his shirt and sitting, maybe trying to get a tan. he looked over at the girls, who kept looking at differant people on the beach. He deided to go in the water, and stood, heading slowly towards the water, kicking sand lightly so it covered his foot with each step.

I saw a really cute boy walking towards the water and let out a whistle.Her friends laughed and shoved her but she just smiled and waited to see what the guy would do.

Conner turned to see the girl who had whistled sitting with the group of girls. he smiled slightly, should he go talk to them? He deided he should and did, walking up to the girl, "Hey," he said with a smile, hoping she hadnt been joking when she had whistled.

"Hi."I said and smiled up at him.The other girls all started talking to each other but it was obvious they were eavesdropping.

"You whistled," Conner said with a smile, shifting on his feet, studying the girl. she was really pretty, with long hair and her eyes were bright. He liked her bravery, because he would never do that to a girl, he was a little too shy.

"Yep,I think your cute."I said and a light blush rose to my cheeks when some of my friends giggled or smothered laughs.

Conner raised an eyebrow, "Your also very direct," he said with a laugh, "And thanks, your not to bad yourself," he said, the sand slowly making him sink into the ground everytime he shifted, so he moved his feet to a differant spot.

"Thanks and you can sit down if ya want."I suggested.

conner smiled thankfull, "Alright," he said, sitting down in front of her, streching out his laegs.

"Are you new here because I haven't seen you around before?"I asked curiously.

conner nodded, "Yah, we just moved here from Newhampshire" he said, playing with the sand in his hand.

"I've never been there what's it like?"I asked because I have never really left the West Virgina area.

"its actually really nice, really hot summers and cold winters, and fall and spring, with plenty of beaches," conner said, while he looked around the beach.

"Then why did your family move to this town?"I asked curiously.

Conner shrugged, "You would have to ask my parents that," he said with a smile.

I just laughed,then groaned when the others said the break was over.I stood up and smiled at down at him."Well I have to get back to practice but it was nice talking to you."

conner nodded, he hadnt wanted to stop talking just yet, but he stood. He smiled at her, "Nice talking to you," he said, then walked back to the water, going out to his waist, his hands skimming along the top of it.

I couldn't focus on practice after talking to him and my team mates were pretty mad about it.When we were done practicing for the day we all headed to the water.

Conner saw the group of girls heading to the water, by then he was soaked, having already gone under a couple times. He pushed his wet hair out of his face, watching the girls, then turned back to look out accross the water, now he was deeper, about chest deep, and he wasnt sure the girls could come out this far, considering he was pretty tall.

"You guys wanna race?"I asked and everyone said ya.We decided we would go all the way to the woods on the other side of the beach then back to the shore.The woods were a good half a mile across but since I was on the swim team I had no problem with that distance."Ready,set,go!"I said then ran into the water with the other girls.When the water was up to my knees I dived under and got about 10 feet in front of the other girls from there I just swam normally.
