It was all about him. The one everybody wanted. All us women were to be educated, married and have children. Be silent. Women should be seen and not heard. It was all normal in 1950s America. Trying to live the American Dream. Though it was typical. Normal vs. Radical. I was the Radical in this situation. Going to an all girls finishing school. I would describe it as a finishing school disguised as a college. I didn't see the point in it being an All Girls school, guys were always looking around for a new wife, but I wanted to be with a guy like me. Ready to step away from all of this, become our own people. Marrage would be nice, but I didn't want to be claimed. I didn't want to trade being a slave for a male for security. Males were superior, well I wanted to change it, go out and see the world. Enjoy myself live my life. Not be strapped down to a certain point. Be a certain person.

Basically, I got inspired by my English project and this will help with my grade.

Poppy is sick of being "normal" The whole of america is obsessed with being part of the american dream. A normal family, mother father, two kids. Mother is a housewife, does all of the housework without question. Husband works, and has the wife to be his slave, She does what he demands when. No question. Two kids, typically a boy and a girl. Amazing kids, briliant at school, get along. Ect.

Poppy doesn't want to be apart of this. She hates the whole "Women should be seen and not heard" Thing. It's not right, not fair. She hopes that there is a man out there who is just like her. Wanting to break away from all of this.

It is 1950s. They are recovering from WWII. No one has loads of money.

Poppy-Louise Turner
Poppy/Poppy-Lou.
17(Typical age to get married is 17-18)
Female.
Blonde locks that cascade down her back and brush her tail bone. Emerald green eyers with golden flecks, giving her that tint of unusualness. She is very well educated, She has the perfect hourglass figue withut the need of belts and corsets, though so she doesn;t stand out too much she wears a corset never the less.

Everything else is pretty much above Wink

((I don't think that women wore corsets in 1950- I thought that that fashion had died out about the 1920s or 1930s, but I could be wrong. I'd like to join anyways, though; may I be a male?))

[the corset fashion died out in the 20s when the young girl or shapeless fashion came into play. The 50s had a much more hourglass figure, but they definitely did not wear corsets. Sorry to intrude....I actually have no business with this besides being a nuisance. Alright bye now]

(((Okay, cool.))

Nikolas Jacobson
Nikolas, Nik occasionally
23
Male
Nikolas' eyes are a dark, navy blue color. Thier pureness is tainted merely by the smallest spattering of browned gold flecks, closer to the pupil than the white of his eye. His hair a pure, jet black, which is cut in the short, popular style found in the 50s. His skin is a light tan color, and is marred by a few short, pale scars. His body is lean, though not too skinny, nor too muscular.
Nikolas has a mostly sweet personality, and is one of the few people who believes in women's rights- a rare thing then. He can befriend most people, but if you spark his temper, watch out. As is shown by his scars, he is not afraid to throw a few punches.

((Is that okay?))

[Okay Smile xx]]

(LOL. I forgot her name for a moment xD)

Poppy-Lou-
I propped my hip against the fireplace as I thought over. Glancing at the dancers; I was going to remain a spectator. I didn't want to be here, I hated it. I would blame my parents, they wanted me to become properly educated. I could do that without being forced to become somehting I don't want. I want to grow up, have ambitions, but that was impossible in this place. Pathetic. If I wanted to be like this I would just grow up to be like my mother. It was a bitter sweet thought one I wasn't going to drop anytime soon. It was the truth, the truth hurts. A fact I knew too well.
