He loves horses, and always will. He likes nothing better than to go for a longnride on his horse at the end of the die. He's pretty laid back, but if you mess with him he'll get pretty mad.

Disciplined in reining and cattle roping/cutting

I'll start "I'm heading out for a ride dad,"I said as I pulled on my boots,"I have my cell so call if anything happens."I headed out the front door of the foremans trailer and went to Whiskey who was saddled and ready to go."Lets go Whiskey boy."I said after I was in the saddle.A few minutes later we were trotting along side a little creek.

Kyle leaned against a post on his front porch, drinking some water. He looked out at the barn and saw a girl heading out.
Oh yeah, the new foremans daughter. He thought. He set the cup of water on the porch and walked down there, spurs clinking on his mud-encrusted boots. He went into the barn and straight to his mare, Shine's, stall.
"Hey there, beautiful." He said smiling and clucking gently to the Perlino Dun arabian mare. She looked up from her hay and went over to him. He stroked her nose.
"Wanna go for a ride?" He asked, ruffling her forelock. He put her halter and lead rope on, took her out, and tacked her up. He took her outside and mounted, then headed for the fields by the house.

I rode Whiskey down into the creek and let him get a drink.Then I rode him up the opposite side of the creek and as soon as we hit a cattle trail I let him have his head.I laughed as the wind started pulling strands of my hair out of its braid.

Kyle rode across the creek and to the cattle trail. He let up on the reins a bit, but because Shime got spooked easily he made sure to keep a good hold on her. She pricked her ears and looked ahead attentively. "What?" He asked, patting her neck and looking ahead. He straightened up and clucked, urging her into a fast trot. They got far enough for him to see someone else on a horse. He squinted and tried to make out who they were, but failed. So he just broke into a canter and caught up.

I heard horse hooves coming up behind me and looked over my shoulder.A cute guy about my age was ridding a beautiful horse."Hi." I said smiling.

Kyle slowed down a bit and looked at the girl on the horse curiously. "Umm hi. You're the foremans daughter, right?" He smiled at her cheekily.

"Ya,we just moved here from Kansas."I said,"My names Emmeline,but you can call me Emme."I looked him over and smiled.

"Ah cool. Well Im Kyle, and welcome. Hope you like it here...ummm...yeah." He gave her a sheepish grin and pushed his hat back slightly on his head. "So are you planning on goin' to the local high school?" He asked, his little Tennessee accent kicking in.

"Ya,I'm suppose to start tomorrow...."I couldn't hide my nervous tone."Are the people there nice?Or will I be welcome like I'm the idiot no one wants to be around?"I asked anxsiously,half smiling when I heard his accent,it was cute.

Kyle couldn't help but chuckle at her nervousness. "Theres nothin' to worry about. Everyones pretty nice, and if someone isn't it'll be because they're jealous." However he said that without thinking, and looked away. "Ill race ya back." He said, and clucked to Shine, turning her around and taking off at a canter.

I laughed as Whiskey spun around and raced after them.Within a couple of strides Whiskey was neck to neck with Shine,both sets of hooves leaving indents in the loose dirt of the forest floor.

Kyle looked over, and then pushed Shine into a full on gallop. He curved skillfully throughout the trees, and burst through the trees. He jumped over the creek, and looked back at her.

Whiskey moved into a smooth gallop and sailed over the creek when we came to it.I made sure he stayed a couple of stride lenghts behind Kyle and Shine."This is so fun!" I called up to him laughing as Whiskey and I manuvered(sp?) past them.Now I was the one looking back,smiling.

Kyle glowered at her as his hat fell back. He'd come back for it later. He clucked to Shine and she sped up, moving past them and cutting them off. She was pretty good at that.

I smiled to myself and rolled my eyes."Competitive much?"I hollered up at him,as I slowed Whiskey to a walk.I had noticed that Kyle's hat had fallen a little ways back so I dismounted,went back and got it then got on Whiskey again.

He chuckled and slowed Shine down. He turned and walked back towards her. "Yep. I don't tend to let people beat me." He went to get his hat from her. "Even girls." He gave her a wink.

I laughed,"That must get you in trouble sometimes?"I asked more than said as I handed him his hat.Only then did I notice how pretty his eyes were."You have gorgeous eyes."I said without thinking then I blushed.

"Yeah, sometimes it does." He smiled at her as he took his hat. He chuckled at her next comment, "Well thanks. So do you."

I smiled at him and said,"Thanks."Then I asked,"So what are the good places to hang out around here?"then I got Whiskey walking again,going nowhere in praticular.

Kyle thought for a moment. "Follow me." He said with a smile, then clucked to Shine and trotted past her, putting his hat back on.

I frowned but followed."Where are we going?"I asked curiously.

Kyle glanced back at her. "You'll see." He said, then turned back around. He slowed down to walk, and looked around. "It's easier to enjoy when you go slow." He told her, still facing ahead. They were surrounded by a really pretty golden field, with a pasture on one side and the creek on the other.

I followed still,quietly taking in the beauty of the field they were in.The grass was tall enough to reach Whiskey's stomach and looking at it dance in the wind reminded me of home.I smiled slightly thinking of home.
