Differences(Alpha and I :3)

"Do you wanna know about it?" I asked looking down at her with a sigh

She noded, hoping he would talk to her about it.

"Im just thinking about..my mom" I said softly and sighed looking back down at the water

"Oh...." She followed his gaze and cupped some water in her hands. "What was she like?" She asked, not removing her gaze from the heated water sliding through her fingers.

"I dont even know where to start." I said with a wistful smile and tone. "She was the best mom anyone could have i think. I mean she loved everyone and helped anyone who needed it. She was the one who stood up for me when i was getting bullied as a kid. She was there with me through everything and When Jazz came into the picture she was the one that inspired me to be the big brother to her, beat anyones ass who picked on her" I chuckled

She laughed and leaned her head back. "She sounds really great." She said softly, moving her eyes to look at him with just them.

"Yeah she was. Then that night came" I sighed and looked down

She looked over at him, her eyes empathetic but her face fairly expressionless. "I..." she didn't really know what to say.

"The one reason I stayed around...was taken from me." I said looking over to her. "By another gang"

She arched her eyebrows in surprise. "Oh...woah." She blinked, still unsure what to say about that.

"Yeah, never forgave them...They ran...and i never knew who did it" I sighed softly

She narrowed her eyes a bit. "Im...sorry. I really truly am. But...at least your mom loved you. Like, really truly loved you." She wished she could say the same about her mother, but she was sure she didn't. She also wished she could say that she felt that way about her.

"She would have loved you though good lord, you'd be her second daughter" I chuckled and looked up at her with a smile.

She grinned back at him. "I think I'd really like that."

I chuckled and put my arm back up on the side of the tub with a sigh

She leaned back and looked at him, her head tilted slightly to the side.

"So you like it here so far?" I asked with a smile

She nodded. "Its great!" She said happily.

I chuckled and my fingertips were just over her shoulder. "good I'm glad you like it" I chuckled

She looked at his hand and then back at him. "Yeah, it's much better than I had even thought before." She felt her stomach flutter a bit, but she didn't know why.

I shrugged and used that to put my arm around her shoudlers and smiled. "Well i try my best" I said with a smile

Claire grinned and scooted a bit closer to him, but not by much. "Hmmm....our fingers our probably getting all pruney."

"you wanna get out?" I asked a bit concerned as my hand took her shoulder on the side now

She laughed and shook her head. "Nah I'm fine. I actually like the feeling. It's pretty weird."

I chuckled and sank a bit lower into the water. "Well im gonna have to get out of here sooner or later'"
