Potato Child! Cometh Hither!

"I don't care!" Aurora yelled.
"Mom!" Tove intervened. "Jesus, it's her first drink, I did that too!"

She gave Tove a thankful look. "You can't seriously expect me to love it? I'm not even supposed to be drinking!"

Tove wrapped an arm around his fiance's waist. "Honestly, Mom, I can train her from here. I'm pretty sure she knows how to sit."

Sarina instantly leaned into him, not really meaning to. She glared at Aurora.

"Fine." Aurora threw up her hands. "See if you're prepared by Saturday!" She stormed away.
"Goddammit." Tove muttered.

"Shes pleasant." Sarina muttered.

"I like your mother much better." Tove smirked. "C'mon. I never said you'd like me better. Siddown."

"Bossy much?" She grumbled and sat down.

Tove smirked. "I'm intenet on making your life as miserable as possible." He said, giving her a noogie.

She squealed and tried to pull away. "Nooo not the noogie!!"

"Oh yes, the noogie." Tove snickered. "C'mon kiddo. Now, when using silverware, just start on the outside and work your way in. Never use the same thing on two different food items."

She nodded. "Great." She mumbled, looking at the silverware.

"It's actually not that hard to remember." He grinned. "Salad fork doesn't like green beans."

She raised her eyebrows. "That sounds like nonsense."

"It is, actually, but don't be the one to question it. You've got enough on your plate. Literally." Sarina's plate was heaping with food. "And I suggest you don't mix different foods. It tastes really bad."

"Do I have to eat this all, right now? I'm not hungry." She stared at the food, not wanting any. She didn't have much of an appetite.

"No, just pretend." He smiled. "Heard you broke int the ice cream." He smiled evily. Tove wrinkled his nose. "Just put the food into the bucket on the ground for the dogs."

She sighed. "Okay..am I supposed to..pretend to eat it now?"

"Nope. You've got to wait until the Queen eats. Who I'll pretend to be." Tove plopped down into the Queen's throne and began to eat with his hands.

"Yes. Very queen-like." She said with a smile, then paused. "So now do I eat?"

"Very." Tove agreed, grinning. "And yes, you can start eating. Except do that in an actual Princess fashion."

"Okay." She took a deep breath. She started with the outside set and worked her way in, taking miniscule bites of each thing.

"Good!" Tove encouraged. "Hold your fork lighter, don't stab the food, chew with your mouth closed." He instructed as she did menial things wrong.

She shot him a dirty look, but followed his instructions.

Tove just laughed at that. "Good enough for today. I'm pretty sure my evil mom will want to coach you tomorrow, so at least you're somewhat prepared. Though I'm pretty sure you could convince her not to come." He wagged his eyebrows. "Have you tried persuasion yet?"
