Is hot tempered, and can be bright and bubbly, but is also quite shy.

My character:

Name: Laiko
Age: 17
Appearance (undetailed): A little over 1,7m tall, he is pretty much average size. He is Pretty muscular with a generally athletic build. His hair is a dark, golden blonde with natural dark highlights and his skin has a slight brownish tinge, as though he had once had a pale complexion, but it had been tanned out of him. His eyes are a dark forest green with a yellowish tinge, and with some flecks of lighter shades, yet their colour seems to change slightly from day to day. Overall, he gives off a typical 'surfer' impression, though he is actually more studious than sporty. He is quite handsome, but in a rather casual way, since he doesn't bother to draw attention to it.

The black SUV rolled into the large iron gates of Second Chance, the femme in the back seat having her trainers on the driver's seat. Her eyes uncaring, her hood covering most of her hair of flames. Her tips stuck out the hood, creating a dramatic effect. The engine spluttered to a stop, and the femme got out. Her stuff already in her dorm, number 13. Her horse, that would help her to 'recover', was in stall 13. As far as she knew, the horse was 15.2hh and buckskin.

"Woah, boy." Laiko murmured softly, his voice low and calm as he spoke to the stallion on the opposite side of the arena. He had a roped coiled in his hand, and he watched the frightened horse with a gentle green gaze. The stallion's flattened ears flicked forward, and with a nervous snort he took a hesitant step toward Laiko. "Good boy." He praised quietly. The stallion threw his head up, his ears flicking back as an aggressive snort burst forth from his muzzle. He flung his powerful body into a rear - hooves and teeth flashing as his powerful muscles writhed like snakes beneath his sanity hide. "Easy." Laiko murmured, staying perfectly calm as the stallion lunged toward him, his flint-hard hooves flailing inches from his head. Finally, the horse struck the ground, shaking his head in annoyance and lashing out with a front leg. "Good horse, there's a boy." Laiko praised in the same gentle monotone, edging closer to the stallion as the horse's velvet nostrils flared and fluttered in a silent whicker, his ears flicking forward. "Good boy." Laiko repeated, a soft smile curving his lips as he stroked the stallion's muscular neck. He clipped a lead rein to the halter and lead the stallion to the gate. The horse walked as calmly as a lamb now, his disposition suddenly seeming quiet and placid. Laiko smiled and slapped the horse's neck affectionately, then turned him loose in his paddock as he saw the black SUV pull into the drive.
His face breaking into a friendly grin, Laiko jogged over to the car to meet the new arrival. "Hey there!" He called, coming to a standstill in front of her and holding out a hand, the same welcoming expression still on his kind face.

"Hi" Mich spoke, her eyes drawing over him lazily, before meeting his own orbs of colour. She watched him silently, propping herself to sit her weight on one leg.

Undeterred by the girl's unenthusiastic greeting and the way she refused his handshake, Laiko drew back his hand and fixed a pleasant smile on his face. "Welcome to Second Chance." He said with a slight chuckle, gesturing vaguely to the place surrounding them. "Can I ask your name?" He asked kindly.

"Mich" She spoke simply, shoving her hands in her pockets. "I know where I am, thanks" She added, being polite again. The SUV behind her driving her off, and she sighed softly.

"Pleased to meet you." Laiko replied with a smile. "Oh... Of course you do." He added with a soft laugh, scratching the back of his head awkwardly. "Well... Would you like me to show you to your dorm...?" He offered gently, his tone becoming slightly less attentive as he followed her gaze to the car slowly pulling away - accidentally letting himself become slightly distracted by it. Poor girl... He supposed she probably wasn't too happy to be left here... He'd just have to try do what he could to make it more bearable. Then again, she didn't exactly seem to want his help... But hey, that was certainly not going to stop him from trying!

"I know which one it is. Number 13. To be honest, i'd like to meet the horse i'm supposed to bond with" She spoke softly, looking over at him.

"A good choice." Laiko said with a grin, instantly finding himself warming to the girl. To put the horse first... Now that was what he liked to see! "Come on then, off to the stables!" He said with a grin, flashing a good natured wink before turning away and strolling cheerfully toward the stable block. He pushed open the heavy oak doors effortlessly and stepped inside, pausing as his eyes adjusted to the gloom. "He's right down there - stall 13." Laiko said, indicating the stall as he turned back to glance at the girl with a smile.

Her eyes adjusted quickly to the darkness, watching the buckskin stallion closely. Free Spirit was on his stable door, but she decided she'd call him Spirit. He looked over, chocolate brown eyes assessing both humans closely. His black muzzle stretched out, his large legs carrying him to the door. Noseying at both humans. "He's nice looking" Mich spoke softly, holding out her hand.

Laiko nodded in response to Mich's comment, hanging back and watching the stallion with his hands clasped behind his back. "He's a stunner alright." Laiko agreed quietly, a note of awe in his soft voice. The stallion was indeed a beautiful specimen... He was tempted to walk up and pat the horse, but he figured he ought rather to keep his distance and linger on the sidelines whilst Mich became acquainted with him.

The stallion's large frame seemed to dwarf Mich's, but her hand softly came across his face, her fingertips dancing down his neck. His nose came to her jean pocket, nuzzling it softly. A smile touched her features.

"He likes you." Laiko commented softly, a gentle smile curving his lips as he watched the stallion's affectionate antics. It was always a great sight to see when the horses really clicked with their designated people. He absolutely loved working with them, so if they were happy with the arrangements, then so was he.

"He looks like Ruffian" Mich commented. Ruffian had been her mother's horse, a large beast of a stallion to look at, but sweet as candy. Mich smiled faintly, watching the stallion.
