Aby jumped out of her half sleep at the sound of her phone, grimacing and running a hand through her hair before getting up and finding it under some clothing in the corner of her room, reading the alert to herself before yawning and replying 'Heey..." she sent back, stretching and shaking the sleep from her body before curling up on her bed again, pulling the covers over herself and staring at the pattern.

sorry if i woke you up. you did get home alright right? I sent back and ruffled his hair gently since it was getting late and walked out. "Im sorry again jake" I heard him say before i got too far from the doorway. "Its okay, buddy. Get some rest." I told him and headed to my room to take the weight off my legs

She smiled a little 'Nahh. It's good, and I made it home fine, he wasn't as bad as I thought. How are you now?' she asked, stretching out and flicking her light off, closing her eyes and keeping her phone clutched to her chest incase he texted her back, but she was in no mood for sleep.

Im better now. Levi..had quite a scare from it. That wont be an easy fix. We're working on it though. my whole body is killing me I sent back with a sigh, i laid back on the bed and my muscles were on fire.

'Ohh...that sucks. But you're feeling a little better then when I left, right?' she asked, tucking her phone back under her body and closing her eyes, thinking to herself. Was Jake really going to be okay? Hopefully he could come to school tomorrow...that would probably be the only time she would get to see him, at school.

I should be. Probably gonna come in late. I sent back and looked to the bathroom and got up, I walked over to the tub and decided i'd take a shower. Brb, gotta shower lol I sent with a chuckle and put my phone on the counter and started the shower as the steam filled the room and i got in to relax with the hot water on my body

Aby smiled to herself 'Ahhh. Okay. Well I'm gonna get some sleep, I'm fricken tired. Nighttt ' she sent back, curling up after setting her phone on her dresser and practically falling asleep in seconds, but not a deep sleep. A light, dreamless one, like...death really, but she was still alive.

Night <3 I had sent back after i got out. I figured she was already asleep so i let it be. After getting dried off i started getting dressed into my pajamas. Just long baggy pants and a tight tank top. I walked downstairs slowly to get a quick snack and everyone had gone up to bed since the first two floors were empty.

She was dimly aware of her phone alerting a text and groaned, slapping it off the little table next to her and curling into a ball under her blankets, soon after falling into a deep sleep, her mind still empty, unable to conjure a dream it seemed.

After getting my snack i headed back towards my room and laid down in bed. I ended up falling asleep with a movie on and the volume down. But somewhere in the middle of the night i ended up turning it off, the light seeping through my lids and disrupting my dreams.

Aby slept restlessly the rest of the night, waking up early the next morning and dragging herself reluctantly out of bed, sighing and getting dressed and ready for school silently, not even bugging to ask Bryan for a drive and instead walking silently towards the school.

Finally morning rolled around and i woke up getting everyone ready we headed off to school again. Levi still was gaining his trust back for me. Though i knew it would be a long process, and a hard one at that. Just seeing the pain and fear in his eyes now, tore me more and more. I felt so much guilt for letting him see me like that.

Aby finally managed to get to school roughly an hour later, sighing and flopping down on a bench, not looking forward to the rest of the day since she was already extremely tired. She yawned, making sure she had everything in her bag and getting to her feet again, jogging up the stairs and to her locker.

I made it to school and we had split up as we went to our lockers. Following with the flow of the hallway i made it to mine upstairs. Still scanning for Aby's face casually and managed to spot it down the hall. Slowly i weaved my way through and over to her.

She looked up as he got close to her, smiling brightly and closing her locker, leaning against it and looking up at him "Heyy...you look a lot better today." she giggled, hesitating before giving him a light hug in case he was still sore or something.

I smiled and hugged her back. "Thanks, Im feeling better that's for sure" I chuckled and let her go leaning on the locker watching her. "Again I apologize for that whole thing." I said with a nervous laugh. "You got your anatomy lesson I guess huh?" I chuckled

Aby smiled "Good." she said brightly in reply, listening to what else he had to say beforee nodding with a giggle "Oh, definitely." she replied, rolling her eyes playfully and glancing around the halls "Well...I guess I better get to class."

"Alright. I'll see you later" I said with a smile and gave her another hug and a quick kiss on the cheek before heading back the other way towards my class. My blood felt icy and my face felt hot, it was so weird how i was so nervous around her now i didnt understand it

She smiled and nodded, tucking her books under her arm and starting off to class quietly, silently pondering over a slight change in his behavior since yesterday, what was that about? Aby shook her head and shrugged it off, taking her seat in class.

[mini time skip since nothing really happens in school :3]

It was the last period of the day, every time i was around her i still acted that way..though the last period it vanished. My head snapped up from my work in chem and i locked my eyes on the clock, watching the seconds tick by. It seemed like it took years for that ticking hand to reach the next number. Though there was only one minute left until the last period bell rang. I felt the anxiety building up inside me as the ticking hand ticked closer and closer to the 12 on the clock. When it hit i was one of the first out of the room and now i was looking for her. I prayed silently i would find her outside.

Aby had noticed Jake's change of attitude throughout the day and sighed, figuring he didn't like her anymore and grabbing her things from her locker as the last bell rang, her eyes focused on the ground as she adjusted her bag over her shoulder, fixed her shirt and headed outside, glancing around and remembering she had no ride home, so she merely started her hour-long walk home.

"Aby! Aby wait!" I called after her spotting her walking down the sidewalk going home. I caught up with her almost out of breath. Thanking my lucky stars that it was warm out. If it was cold that would have been pretty bad. "Aby. Slow down" I said with a smile

She jumped a little as she heard someone yelling her name, turning around and smiling faintly at Jake, stopping so he could catch up and looking up at him with one brow raised "Hey?" she asked, sort of wondering why he had been avoiding her all day and then this after school?

"Aby i wanted to apologize for how i acted today. I dont know why i did it. must have been from last night" I said with a soft apologetic smile. "It must have been pretty confusing huh?" I chuckled lightly and finally caught my breath

She laughed a bit and nodded "Yeah...I understand, its fine, really." she said brightly, accepting what he said and turning it over in her mind. He seemed fine today, but was he really? "Oh! Yeah...just a little but. I mean...yesterday we had that little...moment and then today you were sort of being cold, but it's okay." she assured him.
