"Scared?" She said, tilting her head towards him. The coach dropped the ball in front of them and blew the whistle. Alina immediately took the ball, kicking back towards her team. Her team scattered, ready for the next person to kick the ball.

"Shakin in my cleats" I smiled and swiped the ball before they even had a chance to react and Levi stormed up field replacing a forward

"Guess I'll have to do this my self." Alina mutter to a team mate. She took off, dodging past people with easy. She kicked the ball away from Jake quickly, someone on her team recovered it, and kicked it back to Alina once she was clear. She started with her weaving past people. The running was easy, but trying to watch were she's going while watching the ball was tough. She finally up to the goal and kicked the ball, sending it flying.

Watching the ball go in i jogged back to the center line. "Alright i'll give you credit for that" I told her

"Better get use to giving me credit." She giggled at the the fact she basically outsmarted the captain of the soccer team. She stepped back to the center, letting the other forwards on her team be in front of her.

"But can you bend it like Beckham?" I mused and snatched the ball before they could even take it up field and dribbled it past the halfbacks only to be faced with a line of players. With one kick the ball bent in the air and landed in the net in the top corner and it was too tight for the goalie to save it

"I'm still faster." She said. Stand at the center, taking the front again. Alina watched the ball be put in front of her and the whistle blew. She kicked it back to some behind her. They sent the ball to some one end, Alina went to the other. The ball was kicked to her once she was back past the forwards. Alina immediately pick up her speed, kicking the ball to the ball from a distance away. The Ball flew into the upper right corner. "Now, you can't even tell me you let me have that one." She said walking back to the center.

"Alright im just gonna come out and say this...I like you" I said quickly. "There i said it, slap me kick me what ever you want"

"What do you think I am? A two year old girl in a seventeen year old's body. If I'm gonna hit you, I'll punch you. And I would punch you in the face." She said rolling her eyes at him, at the fact that he thought she would slap him. Her older brother raised her to fight like she was a guy ever since she could remember.

"Well You got an open shot," I said turning my open cheek to her.

"Like I plan to. I'm not mad... yet." She said, pushing his face away.

"Well when you do get mad im still open" I said turning to walk off

"Whatever." She said giggling. She walked towards the girl's locker room. The bell rung just as she got to the door. The track team rushed to the door of the locker room. "Hey, we got practice tonight?" One of them shouted into locker room. "No." Everyone responded. That girl and another started arguing for a minute before heading inside to get dressed.

i walked in the locker room and changed and left before anyone else did. Now that she knew my secret i was prepared for any torment she would give me for it

Alina changed quietly, listen to the conversations around her. All different kinds. She didn't see one of them leave their conversion and jump behind Alina. "BOO!" She said randomly. It caused Alina to jump a little. "Gees. What's your problem?" She laughed at Alina. "What do you?" She motioned to the gym. "Oh. Why's that your problem?" Alina looked at her friend oddly. "Dunno. Curious." She said smiling. "No. I ain't talking about that, especially to you. I know you. You'd find everyone and tell my opinion on it. Not letting it happen." Alina shook her head. "Aww... Come on!" She started to do the puppy pout face. "Brook, I perfected that face. It doesn't work on me." Alina rolled her eyes at her friend. She walked out, hearing Brook say something.

I sat out on the curb in front of my truck facing all the people in the lot. still going over the whole gym insident in my head, i knew it was a bad idea to even mention it. But i let it slip, mentally kicking myself in the head i just rested my head on my knees that were up by my chest already

Alina grabbed her things out of her locker and headed to her car. She threw her stuff in there, and looked around. She spotted Jake and she walked over to him. She sat on the tail gate next to him. "SO. Did you really mean what you said in class?" She said, looking at his face.

i looked up and one earbud playing crushcrushcrush by paramore sounded from it. "yeah...yeah i did"

"Why didn't tell me when no one was around? Now I'm going to have damn Brook annoying the hell out of me." She said. "She's bad about telling things that she should shut up about. And she don't stop bugging you for nothing till she gets what she wants."

"Sorry about that"i muttered looking away. "i just felt like if i didnt say it i wouldnt have the chance to say it again"

"It's okay. I'll shut her up some how." She said, looking at him.

"but i do really like you" i said softer than before only audiable to us

"Yeah. I kinda guessed that alone by your teasing." She giggled softly, and playfully pushed him.

pushing me was like pushing a wall. a fleshy wall but i still giggled at her attempt. "what are your thoughts?" i asked

"I'm okay with it. I mean, I like you too, it's just I know now there's going to be more people annoying me now about it cause of Brook." She said, rolling her eyes when he didn't move when she pushed him.
