Sammy stifled a laugh and shook her head.She grabbed her notebook and wrote,no mine is a completely boring one done by a person whos super bored while yours on the other hand is super awesome

He laughed and shook his head again. I beg to differ. Your's is super cool and creative where as mine is super bad and boring He held it up and grinned his boyish grin at her, shaking his shaggy hair out of his eyes.

She smiled and wrote,How about we both just settle for both of ours are awesome?

He nodded just as the bell rang. He put his sketch book away and stood up.

Sammy smiled at him then took his hand and with her pen wrote her number in his palm,"You should text me sometime..."Then she turned on her heel and walked out of the classroom.

He looked down at his hand and smiled, then hoisted his bag over his shoulder. Only one more period of the day and he was home

Sammy smiled when the final bell rang and walked to her locker.She grabbed her damp jacket and her bag then headed out to her car.

Nic walked outside to his truck and turned the key in the ignition. He turned the radio on and drove home listening to Coldplay. He parked his car out from and walked inside. "I'm home!" He called, dropping his bag by the door. His mother's head popped out from behind the kitchen wall. She said something in Russian and he just shook his head. "Ma, we didn't take any tests today." He laughed and she went back to making dinner. His mother was very old fashioned, which was okay for him

Sammy got her duffel bag out of her car then walked back to the school.She had been a cheerleader since she was in grade school,thats when her mom forced her to start cheering,and had come a long way since then.With a sigh and a fake smile she went through the cheer practices.Sammy had never wanted to be a cheerleader and still didn't but she wanted to try her best to make her mom proud. After practice was over Sammy drove to the little diner she worked at.

Nic looked at the time. "Bye mom!" He called, and grabbed his keys and a jacket because the weather still looked crappy. He went out to his truck and drove to work, which was okay because it was a nice resteraunt. He drove there and went to go change into the uniform black pants and white dress shirt, then pulled on the company aprons and went to go clock in, right on time as usual.

Sammy sighed as she changed into a poodle skirt dress and put on her skates.The diner was the only one in town that had the 60's look still going and all employs had to dress like they were from the 60's.She signed the time in sheet then skated out to the front and started taking orders.For being a small diner surrounded by really nice 4 and 5 star restaurants they were always busy.Sometimes employs from the other places even stopped in to grab a bite to eat.Sammy smiled at the usuals and asked what they wanted even though she already new.

Nic walked out and started placing orders. After a while it was finally time for his break, so he took off the apron and walked across the street to the diner. He'd never been but he heard it was good so he decided to try it. He sat down and read over the menu, deciding on a regular hamburger.

Sammy skated over to a familiar face and said,"Want can I get you,Mr.Nerd Avenger?"with a bright smile.

He laughed. "Just a plain burger and a coke." He looked down at her feet. "Nice skates." He said, looking up and grinning at her.

Sammy rolled her eyes with a laugh and said,"You wouldn't think that if you had to wear them."then she skated back to the kitchen window just as the chef said,"Order up."Sammy took the plates to a table then went back as another order came up.She took the order back to Nic and said"Just let me know when your ready for the check."

He nodded and looked at the clock to see how much longer he had. He quickly ate his burger and downed his coke.

Sammy saw that he was done and skated back over."Anything else I can get you?"

"Nah, I need to head back to work." He smiled sweetly at her, then waited for his bill. When he got it he paid and stood up. "See ya around" He grinned at her and walked out.

Before he could cross the street Sammy went outside and handed him a piece of paper with her number on it,"You should text me sometime."

He smiled and folded the apiece of paper up, putting it in his pocket. "Ill text you after work" he flashed here a grin then dashed off to work.

Sammy went back inside and got back to work.

Later....

Sammy yawned as she dressed into a pair of sweat pants and an old hoodie.After walking downstairs and getting something to eat she went to the living room and plopped down on the couch then started flipping through tv channels.

Nic drove home. He pulled into the driveway and went up to his room to change into a pair of jeans and a t-shirt. He yawned and plopped down on the couch, turning the tv to the sports channel. He pulled out his phone and remembered that he'd told Sammy he would text her. He ran upstairs to grab the number then punched it into his phone. He began texting, Hey, it's Nic

Sammy jumped,startled,when her phone started ringing.She read the text and smiled.Hey whats up she texted back.

His phone buzzed on his leg and he grabbed it to make it stop. He slid it open and read the text. Smiling, he replied, Nothing really just watching tv you?
