Candlelight (BME!)

I figured "candlelight" was a softer, gentler version of lightning and ashes...

((XD! Yeah, hers is wicked... You start or shall I?))

((Well... it shall be pretty cruddy, but heeeere goes! Just FWI- He's helping her train her powers some, 'cause, y'know, she's still new at them...))

Acheron sat cross-legged opposite his lover on her bed, his eyes staring straight into hers. Though they made not a single sound, nor a single movent, there was much going on between the two.
Concentrate, Acheron projected to her, his thought clear and unmuddied. He kept recieving mixed-up phrases from his love, as she seemed to be straying off-task. Not that he nesscessarily minded what she was accidentally projecting...

[[Wait... what is she accidentally sending to him? xD I thinks I has a leetle bit of an idea... xD]]

I blinked slightly.
Hard to do that. I tried to project back, but I had a feeling it didn't go over the same way.

((Oh, daydreams...XD))

((Wait..why did I post "FWI"? It was supposed to be "FYI"...))

Hard...that he picked up. He was making sure not to peep into her head to find out what she was saying, though it was difficult.
Visualise it. Think of the words written out, floating from your head to mine.

[[Of them together... Of course. xD]]

[[Ahah! Typo, chere? xD]]

I blinked.
Now that is something odd to visualize... I mused, doing as he'd told me. That time, it seemed as if most of the phrase had been projected...

Acheron recieved the full phrase, and his formerly still face cracked into a smile.
Good, chere! He praised. Eventually it's the same as talking, only more private.

I tilted my head slightly, almost talking, then remembering what he had told me to do before I projected the words.
How-How did you learn.... these things? I questioned, pausing slightly as I lost concentration for a moment.

It is due to my knowledge of my powers at a young age, and my time to practice these skills. Acheron replied, standing fro the bed. It was their first day of training, and they had been at this for almost an hour and a half.

I breathed a laugh.
"I have had time to practice as well... Unfortunately, I did not know of my powers at that time," I said, slipping off my huge bed as well. I looked at the clock, noticing how we had 'practiced', or rather he had taught, for quite some time.

"I wonder..." Acheron mused. He had some knowledge of lightning-users; was it enough to instruct?
"Would you like to try out your scond ability, my love?"

I blinked.
"Eh... I actually have a little of that down. It isn't as hard as all this mind stuff," I mused.

"That's good, then... Would you like to demonstrate?" he asked. He was curious about her level of control, as was his nature. Acheron mimicked her blinking, and fluttered his lashes for extra effect.

[[Aha! He just imitated her! xD]]

I tilted my head slightly.
"And you're fine with the risk of possible electrocution...?" I asked, a teasing smile on my lips.

Acheron pursed his lips in consideration. He could stand it... he thought...
"Attempt to utilize your powers on a smaller scale," he replied.

[[Ahaha! xp]]

[[Was it good, huh? Meh has to read that book first xD]]

I chuckled softly.
"I was only teasing. The pain can be blocked out, somewhat, by myself," I admitted. I brought my hands together, then opening them, and a blue orb of Lightning electricity seemed to form out of nowhere.
"This, I have found, is the least painful when it goes wrong," I said with a small smirk.

((I read the book the day it came out... I didn't read it again, because then I would be shouting at the screen that they did womething wrong. XD It was good... they chose a bad spot to cut it off, though. :/))

"Good, very good..." he murmured, his eyes transfixed on the crackling ball of glowing energy. They still hadn't started on one of her most-needed assets- physical combat.
"Are you prepared for a duel, my lover dearest?" he asked, his eyes turning towards the two very dull, practice swords he had snagged.

[[Hate it when they screw it up... and then cut it off. xD]]

I rolled my eyes.
"I was trained, remember?"

"I would make a bet that you have not been trained as much as I, my love. Runaways have time for quite the smount of skill enhancing. En guarde," he said, in a practiced move effortlessly swinging his sword up and falling into a defensive stance.

I raised my eyebrows.
"Is four years not long enough to master something of this sort?" I inquired, picking up the other one swiftly.
"Wait-Let's do this... downstairs. I think it would be a bit more inconspicuous to my brother if there weren't sword gashes all over the furniture," I teased softly, leading down the stairs.

((Oooh, it would be hilarious if Aiden walked in on them when they were bein' all lovey-dovey.))

[[You mean like kissing or something? xD Yeah... he'd be like all freaked out and wide eyed and Ahah!!! xD]]
