I widened my eyes playfully intensifying the stare i gave her and couldnt hold back a toothy grin and a charming chuckle. And as she got closer feeling her cool hands on my cheeks, instantly they grew warm and the color rushed to my face thankfully hidden from her hands. Then she got closer and closer, my heart beating harder against my chest. And like always something had to end it. Though i snapped out of it when she burned her hand and rushed to the sink. "Caution contents are hot" I smiled in a matter-of-fact. I chuckled and knew i would get smacked or something from her.

Astraia swung at Jake, her fist colliding with his arm. "Dont mock me at times like this, you know i only end up punching you" she laughed, dab drying her hand on a towel. "its the wrong plates for the microwave, the good ones tend to absorb the heat more. It doesn't matter though. I will just use a towel to carry it into the living room." She smiled, grabbing a towel and then picked the plat back up, shutting the microwave door, then headed towards the living area. "Before we leave the kitchen, anything you need in her" She turned asking him at the door.

"Nope Im good." I said with a smile and followed behind her the spot on my arm a little sore but not much, nor enough to phase me. "You got quite the swing though," I said with a playful gentle nudge as i walked next to her. "I have no doubts you cant fight anyone off" I said with a chuckle

Astraia smiled, she was glad the tension was gone now. Hell he was even joking about her punching him, though the last bit made her think of that day again, the day she wasn't strong enough to fight. "I guess i could now, i went to a few self defense classes, was meant to make me feel safer around the home, guess it didn't work. But i have my body guard now" She laughed placing the pizza on the table then dropped down into the couch, sending a cloud of dust up as she did so.

I smiled at her, "And the best part. I work for free" I said with a chuckle "Alright since we havent picked im picking." I said and picked up Twilight off the table and put it in the DVD player and went over sitting down next to her. "Now to be annoyed to no end by miss Bella" I said with a laugh

"Fine by me" she smiled. Pulling the table closer so that she would have to keep moving to reach the stuff, but made sure Jake had some leg room also. She sipped at her drink as Jake put the DVD in and made his way back, sitting right down next to her. Astraia grabbed the controls of the table, pulled up her knees then scooted closer to Jake, leaning into his side, resting her head on his shoulder. "Well this shall be funny" She laughed, clicking past all the ads and then hit play movie.

"Oh hilarious" I said with a chuckle my eyes adjusting to the lights of the TV screen. I let her lean into me and to make my arm a bit more comfortable i draped it over the back of the couch and slid my shoes off to get a bit more comfortable. They didnt stink bad, typical shoe smell, fabric more than anything.

Astraia snuggled up closer as he moved his arm around the back of the sofa. "the movie has barely started and she's already bugging me. Charlie is pretty funny, you gotta love that guy." She rolled her eyes " Ohh here comes wolf boy" She laughed finding the movie quite cheesy, trying not to laugh too much at it. She grabbed at the popcorn, sitting it on both there laps, shoving her hand in and taking a few at a time.

"He is so much better for her than that leech" I said with a smile though i did say it in a derogative term yet the laugh masked it. I continued watching and ate some popcorn as well. Some handfuls here and there but not much. Previous events killed my appetite slightly but no matter, just something that would pass the next time i was really hungry

Astraia laughed a little. "I'd say she'd be better without either, though i dont like any of them." she smiled as she glanced up at Jake. "Edward is irritating, Jake gets too possessive, though he can be okay. Bella is just a pain in the ass, always acting like a damsel in distress, and leading Jake on. Cullens are up soon, I like Alice and Jasper best." she reached across the table, grabbing for the glass, when a sharp pain shot through her left side. Clutching at her side, frozen for a few seconds, until the pain resided, then grabbed for the glass, and taking a swig of coke.

"I like Rosalie" I said with a chuckle and took a break from the popcorn. "But Jake means well sometimes, he has some pretty good points. He's just loyal. But that's just me" I said with a shrug and shifted my weight stretching a bit to keep my muscles from locking up.

"Do you have a thing for her" I joked, laughing. Though she was quite pretty. "Jake can be okay i guess. He just annoys me at times. He's a bit like you really, but your much nicer, and you dont change into a wolf" She laughed halfheartedly. She sipped at her drink, taking it slowly, not wanting to fill up too quickly and get loads of gas. Though that would be pretty funny, Jake would take the mick out of her. she was just getting settled next to Jake again, when her phone buzzed loudly on the table, almost falling of, from the strong vibrations. She grabbed her phone just in time, clicking it on and reading her text. I wont be home tonight, maybe very early morning or later the next day. I hope your doing okay. if you have a friend over, see if they can stay with you, Dad x She text him back, then placed her phone back on the table. "Well guess my dads not home tonight" She said as she sat back against the sofa, trying to get back into that comfy spot. she fidgeted for a while, until deciding to place her legs across Jake's lap and snuggled into his side. His warmth soon enveloping her.

I chuckled and forced the humor into it. Before i could even think of it i shoved the thought aside. Then at that same time her phone interrupted my thoughts. I looked over at her as she spoke. "Are you gonna be okay after i leave?" I asked and put an arm gently on her back as she climbed into my lap the way she did, just for extra support and warmth.

"I'm not sure, if i will be okay. I can try" She glanced down at her legs laid over his, then back up to the TV. She knew she wouldn't be okay, but if she told Jake, then she would feel like she was making him stay, even if he had other stuff to do for the rest of the night.

"Well im glad the films over, i got a little bored watching it. Bella is so annoying" she laughed standing up, and clearing away some of the empty wrappers and a few plates, leaving the food they hadn't quite eaten yet. She headed into the kitchen, shoving the wrappers in the bin and placing the plates into the sink. She grabbed a glass of cold water, heading back into the living area.

I looked over at her and stretched and my spine shifted and cracked as it loosened up. "Its not a problem if you want me to stay late. I dont have anything special. I mean other than my dad having a tantrum like a two year old" I said with a chuckle and stood as my joints creaked under my skin and the weight now bearing down on them.

Astraia laughed at his remark about his dad. Though she had met him only a few times before, he did kind of seem like the parent that would worry about their child, but would also allow him to have a free rein also. "I would like it if you stayed, but then i would still be on my own for the night. I guess i will have to find a way to keep myself calm. I will have to try at the least" she planked herself down on the couch next to him, folding one leg up under her, the other still on the ground. her body was facing Jake. She sipped at the glass of water "So wanna watch the next movie?" she leaned on the back of the sofa, resting her head on her hand and watching Jake.

"yeah, and we'll see what happens after that. If we fall asleep we fall asleep" I said with a smile and got up this time to put on the movie and padded across the room to the TV. Put in the next, it was a horror film. I was a little hesitant to put it on but i would turn it off if she told me. Walking back i plopped back on the couch taking a blanket from the arm chair's seat. "Wanna share it?" I asked with a smile

she laughed slightly at his joking, though he was also being serious at the same time. Though she felt bad for thinking it, she hoped they did fall asleep. At least then she would feel safe and maybe able to get a good nights sleep for once, without having to dose up on a tone of sleeping pills. She watched him as he placed the DVD in the machine and walked back to her, planking down onto the sofa, she scooted over to him again. "Sure" she smiled. "trying to make us fall asleep now too" She laughed slightly. She leaned on him again, this time placing an arm around his waist, her cold hands soon became warm from his heat. "Your too good to me Jake, i dont deserve you. But im so glad i have you in my life right now" she breathed deeply, then placed her head over the place of his heart, and glanced at the TV.

I smiled and put an arm over her, draping it over her side taking her one free hand that was pinned under her side. "You've earned it as far as im concerned" I chuckled and looked down at her. Feeling her cool skin seep through my shirt from her hand. My heart pounded in a steady beat against her palm. "You really are a good girl. I mean that. You have a good heart, better than some of those barbies at school." I said with a chuckle and looked back at the TV. "I'm glad that you arent like them." I said softly and looked back down at her, "Are you tired?" I asked seeing her eyes begin to get glassy

She felt his heart pounding in his chest bringing a smile to her face. She could feel it's thump, thump, thump beat underneath her palm as it rested plaining on his chest, in the place of his heart. She glanced up at him from the television, as he took her free hand in his. Her cheeks flushed a light pinky red as he made her feel embarrassed, but in a good way. "I am glad you do not see me like them. Your too kind to me Jake, as i said before. I dont deserve a friend like you, one thats so loyal to me. I should be ashamed of myself for keeping a secret from you, one so big, you should have found out long before this." She lightly squeezed her arm around him, in a gesture of a hug, but only using one arm. "I am nothing like the 'barbies' people even tend to ignore me, since i dont flaunt myself like most of them do, even though i am friends with one. I may just start sitting with you and Chase, since then i might be accounted for in the conversations a bit more. I am a little tired" she smiled softly, stifling a yawn,and pulled the blanket up closer, curling up into Jakes side, and focused on the horror Jake had chosen, now playing on the television.

I looked down at her and my arm hugged around her. I looked back to the TV. "Well if you do fall asleep, i wont leave you until im sure you're okay" I said gently and kept my attention on the screen in front of me. "Or until you chase me out with a bat" I said with a chuckle and relaxed more into the couch

Astraia smiled slightly. She was glad she had asked him over tonight, and not Rachel instead. Jake made her feel more secure than she ever had been. There was just something about him that made him so protective. The way he looked also showed a body guard stance, with his muscular stance, and his overall height, towering well above her shortness.
Astraia gently squeezed his hand "Thank you Jake, for everything. I am glad i can trust you this much. Just promise me when you leave, make sure i am very deep asleep, so that way i wont wake up in the middle of the night and end up calling you out at 'stupid o'clock', and lock the front door for me" She smiled and glanced at him at that " Just post the key back through the door" she smiled again and then changed her focus to the screen. Jake was not bad at picking movies, but this horror movie was getting a little boring.

I looked over and smiled. "Will do, and you can call me when ever i wont bite your head off for it" I said with a chuckle and looked back at the tv with a yawn. The movie was getting boring and with my luck i would end up asleep on her couch. I thought about that for a moment. I mean it wasnt like we would pull anything, I know im not like that. I respect others, put them before me. And i did promise myself i would take anything like this slow. As the movie went on the hours grew later and later. My luck the house grew colder and colder. There was no way I could leave now, leaving now meant going outside where I could catch a chill. And i couldnt do that to her, I just curled up more under the warmth of the blanket now laying down on the couch with her draped up on my side.

"Yeah but it makes me feel bad, since you kinda run around for me anyways. It makes me feel like im using your goodness to just keep me happy. Then i feel bad for it" she shrugged, catching his yawn, and yawned herself too. At this rate they would both fall asleep. Though it would make her happy, would Jake be okay about it? he could get told of for not going home or calling up, and then that would be her fault. She didn't want to be the blame for it. she closed her eyes soon falling asleep.

I finally waited until she was totally asleep and i slowly got my jacket on to keep the heat in that i could. Walking over i locked the front door as quietly as i could but remained inside. I made my decision, I was going to stay tonight. I wasn't going to be in her room, I would be down here on the couch. I walked back over to her after locking the cold outside and gently picked her up, praying she wouldn't wake up. I knew what she had said about being worried that someone would do what had happened. I knew that waking from a dead sleep in someone's arms would be something i knew she would freak out over. Silently praying that she wouldn't wake i carried her up to her room. I pulled the covers back and laid her down in her bed, then draping the covers back over her i headed back towards her door. I gave one last look around the room and as usual at night my senses heighten after midnight things begin to change with me..I passed a mirror in the hallway i stopped and looked at myself and my lip pulled up in a snarl. Exposing the growing canines in my mouth, then my eyes lit up a bright blue. Emitting their own blue light. instantly i could see Every single detail in this pitch black house. My blue eyes lighting up the area in front of me, thought it only lit a small area if anything it did help me see better. Much better, it was like HD vision. My hearing was so sharp i could pick up the birds that rustled in their nests outside, the leaves rustling, her light breathing in the next room through the wall. I hated the way i looked after midnight. I wished that i could just go out and party until three in the morning and be a normal kid. Have sleepovers, none of that could happen since i had been bitten. A soft inhuman snarl escaped my lips and i headed back downstairs. My four canines still making my mouth adjust to them. I still tried blocking out the sounds outside, i just focused on her heartbeat that faintly beat upstairs. I plopped down on the couch and curled up under the thick heavy blankets and kept warm. The lights from my eyes soon lit as much as a cellphone light would as they grew tired. Though i did keep an ear out for anyone lurking around the house that i should be concerned about. Then my sense of smell woke up and i could smell everything. Her flowery soapy scent still radiating from the blankets and the woodsy smell I held. I had to tell her about me..I just had to but what would she think? That I'm some freak? She would surely run me off, or do what my dad tried to do..kill me. he never understood, That is why to this day i am scared of bathtubs..he tried to make me bleed out in one, one, two, three, cut the haunting voice played in my head and the pain stung my wrists slightly. I couldnt deal with the memories anymore. Jazz was too young to do anything to stop him. Poor girl could barely walk, tears stung my eyes remembering all this. I pressed the heels of my hands onto my eyes and sucked in a deep dry breath that shuddered as it escaped. One, two, three, cut....one two three cut.... replayed over and over in a haunting whisper. In my head i screamed for the voices to go away,I knew i was stronger now than i was then, much more stronger...though even then i knew that i will be tossed into a tub full of hot water to keep me from changing, i just know it will happen if Astraia knew about me...How i wanted to tell her but i couldnt tell her. I trusted her no doubt, so why cant you tell her you idiot!? My conscience hissed at me. I pulled the blankets up around my head and turned over so that i was facing the back of the couch and i dug my face into the cushion. Focusing now on sleep, i curled up under the blanket in a tight ball and my thoughts drifted to sleep, though still keeping half alert in the night.
