Laiko relaxed instantly as Damon's arms encircled him, and leaned into the warmth of the boy's embrace. This meant Damon probably wasn't upset with him - and he was so relieved that he could have kissed him again, but that could be weird... So of course, he decided not to.
"Shall we get out of the water now?" He asked quietly, shivering as another wave crashed against him.

Damon nodded and sighed softly, reluctantly letting go of him and reaching for his hand, tugging him along gently towards the shore before flopping out in the sand, looking up at the sun "So...how do you like the beach?" he asked, looking over at Laiko curiously, hoping he had enjoyed himself even somewhat.

Laiko grasped Damon's hand tightly, and willingly followed his friend back to shore - his racing heart gradually quieting. By the time they reached the sand, Laiko was perfectly calm once more - his usual cheery smile re-instated on his face.
He glanced toward Damon at his friend's question, and instantly launched into an eager reply. "It's wonderful! There's so much going on - and although the sea is cold, it's really fun!" He laughed happily, gazing around the beach with shining eyes.

Damon smiled "Good. I'm glad you enjoyed yourself, any clue where your friend disappeared to?" he asked curiously, tilting his head and yawning a bit before sitting up and stretching his limbs, satisfied with the pop that each one made before he got to his feet, looking over at Laiko, still awaiting an answer.

"Hmmm, no idea." Laiko replied, shaking his head. "He probably found some girl to flirt with." Laiko pointed out bluntly - shrugging and sitting down on the sand beside his friend. "He can't have gone far. He's probably right-" But Laiko broke off as a hand was suddenly slapped over his eyes. "Guess who~!" Called Mike's singsong voice.
Laiko laughed and swatted his hand away, then turned with a grin to face his friend. "Mike!" He exclaimed jubilantly, "We were just wondering where you'd got to."

Damon pursed his lips "Mm...just wondering about you. That was a lovely plan you devised." he said sarcastically, staring up at the man with slight annoyance in his eyes, knowing that Mike would know right away what was being discussed. How could he do something like that to his friend? Tell him that he should just go up and kiss one of his friends?

"I know, right?" Mike congratulated himself with a laugh - plonking down between Laiko and Damon and almost landing on top of them. Laiko blinked innocently, glancing from Damon's annoyed expression to Mike's smug one.
"I thought it was rather strange, myself." Laiko piped up in his angelic voice, smiling placidly. Mike stared at him for a moment, then burst out laughing and ruffled his friend's hair affectionately. "I love this kid - he's like an alien!" Mike laughed, leaving Laiko looking somewhat confused - but cheerful all the same.
"So, Damon..." Mike added in a stage whisper, leaning toward the other boy, "What did you think of that, huh? Did ya enjoy it? Is he a good kisser? C'mon, we can gossip between us girls."
"You don't look like a girl, Mike. Nor does Damon." Laiko pointed out mildly.
Mike ignored him.

Damon sighed heavily, shaking his head and watching him "I must say it was very much a jerk move, getting poor Laiko to do something like that without him knowing any better." he mumbled, casting a sort of concerned look at the innocent boy before hearing what he added on "And I most certainly am not answering that! I don't wanna talk about it." he grumbled, giving him a dirty look.

"Aaaaw, look, he's shy!" Mike laughed, flicking Damon's forehead. "Are you falling in love?" He added impishly, his voice dropping back to a whisper. He just couldn't help it... Damon was just so tempting to tease. He invited it.
Through all this, Laiko was staring mildly at the sky, watching some kites flying from quite a distance away. Their bright colours and graceful movements fascinated him, and he found himself gaping at them for quite some time.
"We should get back to the school soon, shouldn't we?" He suggested finally, glacing questioningly toward Mike and Damo.
Funny... There seemed to be a rather tense atmosphere between the two.

He blushed "W-What? No!" he exclaimed, shaking his head quickly and getting to his feet "Laikos right, we should get going." he said quickly, gathering his stuff together again and standing sort of awkwardly, waiting for the pair with a grim expression. That was rather exposing. The lanky male let out a sigh and shook his head, clearing his thoughts and tapping his foot a little, wondering why they'd even been hanging around Mike, it was just embarrassment waiting to happen.

"Why so defensive, chum?" Mike teased with an impish grin, bouncing to his feet and skipping around Damon - singing at the top of his lungs. "Laiko and Damon sitting in a tree, K-I-S-S-" But at that moment, he fell silent with a yelp, because Laiko had swatted him in the back of the head.
"Shut up." He advised mildly, meeting his friend's indignant stare with the closest thing he could conjure to a stern expression.
"You're upsetting Damon." Laiko explained, falling into step beside his friend, and leaving Mike staring after them in disbelief. His silence did not last though, and before long, Mike had bounced back from him shock.
"See you back at the school, Laiko!" Mike called, waving enthusiastically, "Bye, Lover-boy." He added to Damon, a devious grin lifting his lips before he turned and sauntered away.

Damon blushed bright red at his singing "MIke!" he complained, ducking his head and down smirking a bit as Laiko slapped him, chuckling to himself and listening to the rest of his words "Lover-boy?" he squeaked, eyes wide as the boy took off, leaving him alone with Laiko "You're friend is quite interesting." he commented, not really pleased with the comments that were made.

"That he is." Laiko agreed pleasantly, "He can get annoying at times, though. Even Kevin thinks so." He scratched his head in a dog-like fashion, then turned to Damon with a bright smile. "Are we taking a taxi back to the school?" He asked, tilting his head a little to one side and regarding his friend curiously. "It's been a good day. I had fun..." He added mildly, but then it occurred to him that he was speaking every thought that jumped to mind, so he attempted to remain silent for a while.
