"But he doesn't have proof that you did anything."I said and tried to stand up,only to fall again.

He turned to face her. "He doesn't need proof!" He exploded. "The Alpha is his FATHER!" He yelled.

I flinched when he yelled,and understood his distress.I tried to stand up again and this time stayed up.When I looked at Damien I had resignation in my eyes as I made him an offer to get out of this mess."Just attack me,take a couple of pictures and post them on facebook or something,when you alpha see's this he'll wonder whats going on and you can tell him that you told Erik to get lost and stop fighting because this was your fight and not his."I said quietly.

Damien looked at her, face contorted in anger. "That's not how it works. He'll know. I can't lie to the Alpha. It's best I just live it out and take whatever he throws at me. If I'm untruthful, it'll be so much worse."

I looked down feeling guilty to the bone,"Damien,I am sorry.If there's anything I can do...?"I asked, needing to make it up to him somehow.

Damien looked away. "No." He said quickly. "There's nothing you can do." He picked up his jacket that he had thrown on the ground before he had stopped Erik. "I have to go." He said simply, before disappearing into the forest.

[[Damien's not going to be seen at school for a few days, so shall we skip to a day when he is? ]]

I grew worried with each passing day when Damien didn't come to school,and it plagued my conscience outside of school.Did I get him killed?How come Erik hasn't been at school either?Then one morning when I was walking to my locker before classes started,i saw Damien at his locker and ran over to give him a hug,"Thank god,they didn't kill you!"I said,happy to see him again.

Damien looked up from his locker, and his face caught the light. Streaking across his face were three huge claw marks that spread from his right eye down to his chin. He managed a small smile. "Not as much as they could have."

I pulled back and saw his face and was instantly mad,"That shouldn't have done that to your face!And why hasn't it healed yet?"I asked,not caring that people were staring at the vampire talking to the werewolf.

"The Alpha's cuts never heal." he said simply, looking back down at his locker, placing some books in slowly, not caring how long it took him.

"So the claws are kinda like a reminder to never betray the pack?"I asked then smiled and leaned closer to him,"By the by,I think they make you look hot."I said,then turned to my locker and started putting books in and getting others out.

He looked sideways at her, smiling. "You know, that's probably the nicest thing you've ever said to me." He said with a small chuckle. Damien shrugged. "I dunno...I'll have to get used to them I guess."

I grinned,"I could say nicer but who wants to spoil a perfectly good mean streak."I said then shrugged,"I bet there's someway you could get rid of them.Haven't you ever heard of a shaman or a witchdoctor?"I asked.

Damien raised an eyebrow. "You believe that they can heal? I don't. They've done nothing for me." He shrugged nonchalantly. "I don't know. It'll remind me never to cross the pack again. Erik's also been promoted too. He's now second in command in the pack, thanks to his little bit of 'information'."

"Yes I believe they can heal...I've seen things,bro."I said,adding the last part to try to get him to laugh.I leaned back against my closed locker as I spoke,"It'll also remind you that your alpha is a shithead,and that his son is a snitch.Are you still friends with that jerkoff?"I asked,looking over at him with an icy stare.

Damien looked sideways at Erik, who was chatting away a few lockers down with his friends. He obviously sensed his eyes on the back of his head, because he turned around, giving Damien a cold stare. He met his eyes, jaw clenched, but Erik was the first to look away. Damien turned back to her. "No. I'm not." He said blankly, a troubled look washing over his face momentarily, but trying to hide it with a smile.

I sighed when I looked over and saw Erik watching us then looked back at Damien."What would happen if he told your alpha that I was talking to you again?"I asked and acted like I forgot something in my locker when I teacher walked by.

Damien turned his head back to his locker when the teacher walked by, but soon looked up once she was out out of earshot. "Well for one thing he will most likely do that. The second thing is I'll probably get some more star treatment from the alpha, and the third is that the pack will come after you as well as me." He lowered his voice until it was a menacing undertone. "So not good."
