"Oi! Get back here!!" A man yelled breathlessly - racing down a tar road at 7AM in the morning, a massive meat-cleaver waving around airily in his hand.
Naturally, he didn't intend to use it - he had just happened to be using it when that bothersome kid had darted into his shop, swiped a chunk of his famous biltong off its hook, and dashed off again.
"GET BACK HERE, you little thief!" He bellowed, coming to a standstill and clutching at a stitch in his side, panting like a dog.
He could still see the boy at the end of the street, a hood over his thick brown hair. He leaped agilely up onto a crumbling stone wall near the street corner, and began daintily cutting strips from the chunk of biltong with a pocket knife, nibbling cheerfully at them.
"Why, you little-!" The man gasped, clearly incensed by the cheek of the boy - sitting in plain sight of his pursuer and eating the meat he had stolen!
He staggered breathlessly toward the boy, but as he reached him, Felix merely laughed and jumped down. He landed on his feet, flashed a teasing grin, then scampered off again around the corner. The man followed with an angry growl, but as he rounded the corner...
There was nothing there.
He blinked in surprise - checking in the dumpsters, on top of the walls, behind cars, under cars, and peering up and down the street.
The youth was nowhere to be seen.
With an irritable sigh, the butcher slipped his meat-cleaver back into his belt, and trudged slowly back to his shop.
Felix, meanwhile, sat atop the high, steepled roof of the nearest house - nibbling at his biltong with an expression of smug satisfaction on his face. He could just make out the muffled voices of the people inside the house, wondering what all the banging noises had been about.
"Maybe a cat burglar...?"
He heard a woman exclaim in a shrill voice, then a low rumbling reply came from a man - but Felix was no longer listening.

((I've decided to give him cat-ears, for funsies. XD Hence why he wears a hood. ))
((Also, biltong might be a South African thing... O.o I wonder... Anyway, it's dried meat. Kinda like American 'jerky', I think...))

Personality: Tiny, but trouble. Annalee is only about 5'1" tall but she has a sassy side to her and always finds a way to get her way. She's not a brat, the only way she wants her way is in things she does that are dangerous. She's brave, fearless, and quite annoying if you don't know her well.

Hearing a commotion nearby, Felix tottered over to the edge to look. He peered curiously over, his hood twitching slightly as his cat-ears flicked with interest. There, in the corner, was a girl - apparently bleeding. A group of thugs was closing in on her. They would probably hurt her, but that wasn't his problem. Why should he care? Come to think of it, what could he do anyway?
He wanted widely, closing his eyes and stretching. Suddenly, he felt the biltong slipping from his grasp. His eyes jerked open, and he swiped at it with his outstretched hand - but it brushed his fingertips and went plummeting down, hitting a thug's head before falling to the ground.
With a yowl of protest, Fleix followed the meat - leaping from the roof.
The group looked up at the noise, and saw Felix descending toward them - hood sticking up horribly over pricked cat-ears, and loose hoodie billowing around him as he was silhouetted against the rising sun.
The thugs yelled out in alarm and scattered, superstitiously thinking they had just seen some sort of flying beast.
Felix spent some time in the air - having jumped from the roof of a two storey building. But when he hit the ground, he landed lightly on his feet, right next to the biltong. He picked it up, and brushed it off lovingly - a satisfied sound much like a purr escaping his lips.
He glanced up at the girl, then, eyes glinting, and hugged the biltong closer to him - as though he thought she might steal it.

"Why? I didn't do anything." Felix snapped brusquely, couching on the ground and taking out his pocket knife, cutting a sliver of biltong, and nibbling daintily at it. "You're bleeding." He pointed out, his eyes darting curiously toward her hand, and his weight shifting forward slightly - as though he wanted to move forward to investigate, but wasn't quite sure. "You'll die if those wounds stay open, you know. It's filthy here. You'll get infected." He slowly straightened to a standing position, closing his knife and slipping it into his pocket, then inching toward the girl - his hood lifted slightly where his cat-ears were pricked with curiosity.
His eyes were still locked on the red ribbons trickling down her hand, and it was evident he was longing to examine it more closely, even if he was too proud to admit it.

Annalee watched him biting her lip as he fixed his eyes on her hands. Tilting her head she looked at his head. Something under his hood was moving. Holding out her hands she nodded, "That I am." She said quietly and then shrugged, "I don't have anywhere to go anyways." She told him with a smalls sigh before moving closer to him. "You can look at them if you want." She told him wincing as she was then standing in a puddle of blood. She could fell her thigh throbbing but she tried to ignore it. Everything hurt right now, the world was spinning and she began to feel weak. Loosing too much blood apparently. Her heart thudded slower and slower every second it seemed like.

Felix sniffed, feigning disinterest, then stood and put his pocket knife away - dusting himself off delicately. One of his ears, however, was still pricked toward the girl's hand - hidden by his hood.
Finally, he turned back to her, and took her hand - holding it carefully to avoid touching her blood. He hated getting his hands wet.
Raising it toward his face, he sniffed it experimentally, then licked the gash.
He didn't much like the taste of blood, so he wrinkled his nose and pulled away, curling his fingers up in a finicky fashion.

When the man's tongue came in contact with Annalee's hand she pulled it away sharply.
"What the hell?!" She hissed eyes wide as she backed away. "You just licked me!" She exclaimed looking down at her hand that still dripped with blood.

"Yeah. What's your point?" Felix retorted, tilting his head slightly to one side, then wrinkling his nose and brushing his hand over his lips. He still wasn't keen on that taste...
"You've got to keep it clean, you know. Stop that revolting bleeding - it's disgraceful." He sniffed in irritation, raising his nose and turning his head away in an aloof fashion - as though the girl was not worth setting his eyes on.
"You should get to hospital." He pointed out unsympathetically.
