He is a rather cheerful person, but when he is at his worst he is difficult and violent, tends to hold grudges about people who do him wrong, but will love anyone closest to him and protect them with his life.

Harlow barked as she ran through the woods with her friends in their wolf forms.They were playing a wolfish game of tag were you ran and barreled into each others sides.Right now she was it, and she was having a fun time of looking for her friends.Harlow put her black nose to the ground and sniffed,hunting for a trail.She eventually found a trail and followed it down to the river behind her parents woods.When she reached the bank of the river she put her nose to the ground again,trying to pick up the trail again.Then as she was about to head back into the woods she heard a familiar bark.Harlow looked over her shoulder and saw her friend on the other side of the river,soaking wet, as she sat there smiling.Harlow barked at her in urgency because all the wolves in her pack knew not to go on the other side because that's where the alphas rival's pack usually hung out. She barked again,jumping up onto her back paws,trying to get Mya's attention.

Drake was sulking. His parents had just given him a very rowdy lecture about the importance of not letting the other 'side' get the better of him. Drake clenched his fists within his pockets in his hoodie, something he did when he was upset or angry, and was meant to stop him lashing out at the nearest thing, although ninety percent of the time it didn't work. He kicked his way through the deep undergrowth of the woods as he went, thoughts reeling through his head, imaginary situations where he had banged his parent's heads together and left without another word. Drake sighed, shifting into his wolf form and silently resuming his sulking. His sensitive hearing picked up distant barks, sounds that did not liken to his own family's barks. It was enough to take his mind off the sulking anyway, and he crouched low, so he was hidden beneath the thick ferns as he approached the river, the border between the two territories. What he saw created a deep growl at the back of his throat. A stranger wolf was on his ground. A stranger wolf who was apparently friends with the opposition. Using his rage from his disagreement, he continued to prowl forwards.

Harlow stiffened when she saw something move in the shadows behind Mya.With one last warning bark she jumped as far as she could into the water and swam as fast as she could to the other side, keeping her eyes to the moving shadow behind Mya.Harlow growled low in her throat and Mya finally looked behind her just as the other wolf came into view.

Drake emerged from the bushes, snarling, his hackles raised. "Get out of here strangers." He growled, his voice low and menacing. Now was not the time to get on his bad side. He began to circle them, his eyes on the pair the entire time. "I said get out!" He barked again, his impatience beginning to grow.

Harlow nudged Mya behind her then snarled at the male."F*ck off."she said and almost smiled with relief when she heard Mya go into the water.Now she decides to be smart and use caution.

His ears flicked back at her comment, and his growl intensified. "Shut up you ignorant she-wolf. I could finish you in a second." His eyes momentarily flicked to the retreating wolf.

Harlow looked at him offended."First off,never call me ignorant,okay?Secondly,I would love to see you try right about now.I may be a female,but I grew up with some of my packs best fighters."she growled,then shifted her body so he couldn't watch Mya."And don't you even think about going after her."

Drake grunted. He was up for a fight, and yet his gut instincts told him not to...Since when had he listened to his instincts? "Bring it." He growled, digging his claws into the dirt.

Harlow didn't give him a warning,just jumped at him her jaws apart so she could tear into him.Her mouth closed over one of his ears and she bit down hard.Blood spurted into her mouth,the taste sour on her tongue.

Drake yelped as the hot liquid trickled through his fur and down his neck, and he span around, jaws snapping, grasping onto any tuft of fur he could reach. He bit down and pulled. Hard.

Harlow let go of his ear as he yanked her leg away from her.She cried out and dove at him to make him let her go.She just started biting at anything that came near her mouth.Oh god,he's going to kill me if I don't get out of here! Harlow thought as he got a hold on her neck.

Drake yelped as she bit and tore at his fur, and when he felt her give way, he let her go, giving her one final powerful swipe with his claws.

Harlow whimpered and backed away from him,tail between her legs and her ears flat against her head.She didn't want to turn her back on the wolf,but she really wanted to get away form it.

Drake gave the wolf another look of hatred, and turning his back, limped away, the flesh on his arm had been torn in several places. As the limped away, he resumed his human form and stood up straight.

When he started walking away Harlow turned quickly and jumped back into the river.the moving water started going into all of her cuts,making them feel like thousands of bee stings.She bit her tongue to keep from whining anymore,and pulled herself onto the shore.Harlow looked back at the other wolf,who was now in his human form,and barked to get his attention.When he looked over she nodded regally, acknowledged that he won the fight.

Drake, who was gritting his teeth because of the pain in his arm, turned to see her nod at him. For a moment he didn't do or say anything, then he nodded curtly back at her, his eyes lingering on her for a moment longer, before turning again and limping off into the bushes.
After that the day passed quickly. He neither talked about nor showed his parents his wounds, for he went straight to his room and sat on his bed, flinching as the cold wrap he had put on his arm stung terribly.

[school time or summer?]

Harlow and her friends went back to their clothes and changed back to their human forms."I'm so sorry,Harlow."Mya said,a hint of a submissive whine in her voice."Don't worry about it.At least no one was seriously hurt.But,"Harlow turned on Mya then,glaring."if I ever find you on that side of the banks again,you'll have to worry about me getting to you before my father does."she growled out and looked at all of the other girls."That goes for all of you."If a human so how she was acting they would say she was just bossy and a control freak,but the pack knew that someone who acted like she did was fit for alphahood."Go home now,and don't tell anyone about what happened."
Harlow went home and slipped into the house through the back door.She was almost up to her room when her mother called her back down."Honey,do you...what the hell happened to you?"her mom asked standing up very slowly as her eyes turned wolf.Her dad looked up from the paper he was reading and growled a curse.Harlow looked down at her cut and bruised arms."Nothing,just was fighting a little bit."she said with a shrug."Who were you fighting with?"her dad asked as he looked back down at his paper.Harlow wasn't stupid,she knew that every fiber of his being was trained on her right now,catching all the little details."Mya."Harlow said in the same 'who cares' tone.

Drake lay back on his bed, and slowly fell asleep, the wound still stinging as he tried his best to get comfortable.
The morning came quickly, and he silently slipped out of the house before either his mother or his father were awake. He had a bandage on his arm, he had changed his clothes and cleaned himself up since the happenings of the previous day, and as he walked down the street in the early morning, his mind slipped back to the she-wolf and the courtesy she had given him as they had parted ways.

Harlow awoke the next morning to her phones alarm clock going off.She left it ringing as she got dressed since it was playing her favorite song.She dance around the room laughing and singing as she pulled clothes on. Harlow grabbed her phone and her purse from her desk then headed downstairs."Bye,love you guys!" she hollered as she ran out the door.Harlow reached the end of her drive way just as her boyfriend pulled up."Hey,Brody."she said smiling.Brody leaned across the console in the middle of his truck,and kissed her on the cheek."Hey beautiful."he said in his deep voice.Harlow giggled,then put her seat belt on as Brody drove them to school.

Drake had his hood pulled over his head as he walked into school, in a thoroughly bad mood. He joined his friends by their lockers while he retrieved his posessions and slumped against the metal for the remainder of the free morning before the lessons started.

Harlow and Brody walked towards the school together.His arm was wrapped her her waist as he talked about his spot on the football team and how he scored the winning touchdown that would take them to state.Harlow acted like she was listening,nodding at the appropriate times and laughing at his dull jokes that she had heard a million times.He finally shut up when they reached the rest of their pack mates,all of them nodding towards Brody and Harlow in greeting.When of Brody's friends came over laughing."So....what where you doing that got you so banged up?And did Brody help?" he asked and grinned hugely until Harlow growled at him."I was in a fight yesterday,wasn't I Mya?"Harlow said as all the wolf's attention turned on her.Mya nodded and lowered her gaze."Yes...she was." Harlow was glad that the pack just thought that her and Mya got into a fight and not somebody else. Brody, obviously sensing the packs discomfort,turned the conversation in a new direction...somewhat."So has anybody heard any new new's on the other pack?"

Drake listened to what his friends said, but didn't intervene, nor did they ask him anything, and for that he was grateful. They knew when he was in a bed mood, and they knew better than to pick on him. When the bell finally rang, he slowly made his way to his first lesson, science. He resumed his usual seat at the back of the class, putting his bag on the seat next to him to prevent anyone sitting there.
