((*copies and pastes* ... Yeah... Razz I feel extremely stupid now... Razz Sorry Pie-kins. Wink Polo was being a dweeb Rolling Eyes Sorry... pale ))
((Yeah, the description sucks but it is not at all important. Just for the sake of having one... ))

Name: Kougu
Age: 18
Gender: Male
Appearance: Kougu is tall, standing around 6ft, yet he is by no means muscular and powerful. His limbs are abnormally long, and he is thin. Not slender or healthily fit, but downright skinny and gawky. His fingers are extremely long, even for his tall frame. He has a very pale complexion. That, combined with his skinny build and the permanent signs of insomnia marking his face, give him the appearance of being permanently unwell. He has long, black hair that often falls down over his eyes, and constantly covers the long, ugly scar on his left temple. His eyes are a dark, midnight blue that seem to hold a distant, haunted expression, though it is well hidden behind his layers of disguise. His expression is always kind and gentle, with very few situations causing an exception.

(( affraid Please don't kill me!))

((*attacks marshmallows* Very Happy I shall start. Smile ))

Kougu let the door slam shut behind him as he walked out into the street, taking a deep breath of the cool air and releasing it slowly, glad to be free of the painfully familiar sights and smells of his house. The moon was shining brightly in the sky, not quite full yet obviously not far from it, for it gleamed like a silver dollar. Kougu's eyes shone milky white and opaque as they reflected the moon from high overhead in the dark, velvet sky. He stood thus for 10 minutes or more, completely unmoving. His mind was sunk deep into a daydream, rendering him unaware of the world around him. The luminous dials on his wristwatch declared the time to be around 3AM, and judging from the deep black rings around Kougu's eyes, it was clear that this was not the first time he had wandered the streets at night, nor would it be the last. His self induced insomnia was part of everyday life, and it was a necessity he could not forsake. This thought jerked his mind back to reality and he lowered his head, wincing as he felt a crick in his neck. He shrugged to loosen his stiff shoulders, then walked on. His bare feet were pale as snow against the cold, dark tarmac beneath them. Goosebumps stood up on his scrawny arms as the chill crept into his skin, yet Kougu simply wandered aimlessly on in his thin cotton T-shirt, ignoring the warnings his body gave him to evade the chill. It would be easy to calculate when he would need to get warm before it would harm him, and until then he would gladly tolerate the temperature. The jeans he wore were old, ripped, stained and faded, as well as a little loose on his skinny frame. Kougu did not spare a single thought for his appearance, however. In fact, he seemed not to think of anything. His mind had drifted deep into a daydream, escaping the harsh truths of reality as his feet padded instinctively into the vast domains of nothingness that composed his world.

Aurora's hair swung gently against the wind as she lay her head against her friend Gavin's chest. They were sitting outside on a bench, with more of their friends huddled together. The close group had just left a party. A yawn escaped her mouth between parted lips and she squeezed her eyes shut and snuggled into his warm jacket. The constant breaths, his chest moved up and down and Rora repeatedly yawned again and again. Gavin chuckled deeply wich caused her to move. "You tired bug?" She nodded and sat up looking up at the moon staring back at her. She exhaled a sigh and smiled showing a small gap inbetween her two front teeth. "I'd better get going guys." A loud round of "Nos and stays" came her way. She shrugged it off and stood wvaing goodbye to Gavin. She had mutual feelings, he'd been in love with her for ages. She's always had butterflies. But it coudn't be. She mumbled to herself as she walked slone on the damp road. The chills blowing her hair around in a frenzy.

((Pft! Failure my foot. You are amazing Pie. Razz *nods* Besides, I always get worse after I start. -_- ))

Kougu's head jerked up as he heard voices, his dark blue eyes widening in momentary panic. The forsook the gleaming reflection of the moon, and lapsed back into their natural colour, mirroring the deep, rich shade of blue that crept from the horizon that bordered the midnight black sky. His eyes were expressive an soulful, yet strangely unreadable, for he hid his emotions well. So well, in fact, that he might almost have passed for a robot. Well, at times, anyway... Kougu's feet stumbled slightly, reminding him of their motion, and he almost tripped as his mind switched from autopilot to manual. He stood still for a moment, glancing around urgently with his breath coming in short gasps and his heart pounding in his chest. His eyes darted around in desperation, searching for someplace to hide. Yet he took no action, and when nobody came, he gradually began to calm down again. Panic was pointless anyway... It was pure paranoia. What was he scared of anyway...? At that thought, a dreamlike scene flashed through Kougu's head.

A small pair of hands, pale and childlike, yet with a weak fragility and long fingers reminiscent of those of an artist. The skin coating them was so pale it seemed white, especially in contrast to the thick, gluttonous liquid trickling through the shallow contours and dripping from the fingertips. Rivers of crimson flowed over the hands, the blood following the prints on the palms and fingers before beading at the tips of the nails and dripping off, landing somewhere in a bright white oblivion where it could never be seen again...

Kougu flashed back to reality, shaking his head violently to rid himself of the memory. Yes. That was what he was scared of, what he had always been scared of. That was why he refused to get close to anybody... Thankfully, the fact that he was a weirdo and a freak helped his cause immensely. People were easier to avoid when they chose to avoid him first. The situation was perfect: Live and let live. Or die and let die... Either way, it was the same thing. Kougu was suddenly jerked out of his thoughts as he hard footsteps approaching. He jerked his head up, a puff of steam issuing from his mouth into the cold air. A shudder ran through him, and after that he could not stop the shivering that issued from his cold limbs. He bit his lip and tore his gaze away from the approaching figure, fixing his eyes on the ground and walking on. Likely as not, this person would ignore him if he just acted natural. Nobody liked passing a tall, creepy stranger on a dark street anyway. At least, that was what he hoped.

Aurora looked up at the tall lingering figure and shivered. She pondered why he was in little clothing. She walked closer, still thinking about Gavin, but her mind was slowly wandering what in the world this boy was doing. Was he okay? Oh it didn't matter. She edged closer, drawn to him for some reason. Before she knew it, she was a meerly a few feet away. She stumbled more to him. "Are you alright?" She asked tugging up her hood quickly with fear. What the hell was she doing. She backed away, but stood close enough so she could hear him. He looked lost, like he didn't know what was going on. Pale. He was so pale.

Kougu watched the figure tensely as she approached, then jumped back as though electrocuted as she spoke. Too close, too close, too close! He liked his 5 meter radius, an he planned to keep it. He watched her nervously for a moment, then mentally scolded himself for his paranoia and attempted to choke out an answer. What was it that they always said...? 'it's more scared of you than you are of it...?' He highly doubted that was the case here, since he was dealing with a human and not a wild animal, but to keep himself fro freaking out would certainly help. "I-I am fine, thank you." Kougu replied quickly, speaking each word with perfect clarity, as though making the effort to pronounce each letter individually, yet mixing them together with perfect timing and emphasis. It was as though even speech was some sort of mission, something to be executed with textbook precision. He watched the girl cautiously, a slight frown creasing his face, despite his attempts to forsake it. A slight tremble was still running through his body, yet he ignored it completely, wondering if he was excused yet. He needed to keep walking to keep his circulation going, otherwise he would have to return to his house sooner than he had planned. Not that he would find it easily anyway... He always forgot which way to go...

Rora raised her perfectly blonde eyebrows and shook her head, "But, your only wearing a T-shirt. It so cold out here." She managed to mutter, before staring at him. Something was wrong and she felt it, in the pit of her stomache. Rora intended to get something out of this man. "Will you tell me your name. . . sir?" She asked, her aussie accent visible. She threw her hood down and stuffed her hands deep in her tight jeans pockets. She hated to ask this, but she did hastily, "Are you lost sir?" She looked at him her brows now lowering in a concerned look. Her blonde curls stuck to her cold face as her odd eyes shone in the moon. "It's pretty late." Rora made a small gasping noise, at herself. She must be tired. "Never talk to strangers you idiot." Aurora murmered under her breath. He was just standing there awkwardly and he looked pitiful.

"Yes, it is cold." Kougu agreed thoughtfully, "But I still have approximately..." He paused to glance at his watch, then went on, "... 2 hours and 47 minutes before the temperature could have any long term effects on me-" He broke off abruptly, suddenly aware of the fact that he had spoken too much. He was certainly not the conversational type, yet when he was explaining his calculations he tended to forget that he was actually speaking... "I won't tell you my name. I am lost, though I shan't be for long and technically it is not late, but early, since it is now passed midnight." Kougu answered, speaking quickly and with the absolute blunt honesty that always made him seem so cold, tactless and thoroughly impolite. "Good morning." Kougu added, nodding slightly to her before turning away and continuing his walk down the street. Why on earth she was wasting her time on him anyway, he had no clue. What he did know was that if she was going to be that painfully naive, she would be a danger to herself. He knew of people who would have shot her down on the word 'hello'... She ought to be more careful. Her, and everyone else... If only it were that simple. Kougu gave a bitter chuckle to himself, then shrugged his stiff shoulders, shoving his hands into his pockets and watching his own feet as he walked down the road. Apparently he had forgotten his shoes again... Or perhaps he had chosen not to put them on. He could not remember... Well, it did not matter anyway, but it as a useful thought with which to occupy his mind.

Shocked [I'm out of . . . . GOGURTS!]

Aurora giggled, at him saying goodmorning. She cocked her head and called after him, "Sorry to keep butting in, but are you sure you don't need any help?" She asked, almost sorry for him. Almost like he knew he needed help, but he was too afraid to ask for it. Rora walked after him. Maybe she shouldn't. She rolled her multi-colored eyes and let her fingers brush across her face moving the dirty blonde hair form it. She sighed and turned around. All she wanted to do was help. She started her way towards her house, going a bit slow, just incase the man was going to talk to her again.

Kougu shook his head and continued walking, not so much as bothering to turn his head. The further away he kept himself from them, the safer everybody would be. Kougu paused to read the street name as he reached the end of the road, but it did not trigger anything in his memory, so he shrugged and turned left, hoping vaguely that he was going the right way. The street lights fell upon him, casting beside him a shadow so dark it seemed almost opaque, as though it was some strange, dark part of his soul that walked beside him... Kougu shuddered at the thought and pressed on, walking timidly into the unknown and simply hoping that he might find something familiar to show him the way back. He knew he would find it eventually... But he had already calculated his time limit, and it seemed to him that it would be rather difficult to achieve.

Aurora tugged her jacket lovingly around her torso and turned down Marbley Lane. She saw her house in the distance. The street lights flickering around her, it was eery, but the stars were shining so brightly, she didn't even need streetlight. She sighed, her mind soon escaping the weird boy and falling around sleep. Aurora was exhausted. Her feet padded the ground more quickly as she ran closer and closer to her haven.

Kougu finally found his way back to his house about an hour later. He stumbled through the front door, his limbs stiff from the cold, and went straight to his bedroom to find warmer clothing. After tugging on a hoodie and slippers, Kougu walked into the kitchen, still trying to rub the goosebumps from his arms, and quickly prepared a mug of soup. He stared at it for a while, struggling to convince himself to drink it, then timidly took a sip. He shuddered slightly as the warmth spread through him, then walked over to the couch in his lounge / dining room area. He sat down and sipped at the soup, staring unenthusiastically at the blank television screen, yet making no move to turn it on.

When Aurora reached her home, she quickly stripped from her clothes and ran a hot bath. After she had soaked 'till pruny she climbed out and changed into sweat pants that hung around her tiny waist with little help and a tank-top. Rora climbed in her bed and pulled the purple blanket up to her neck staring at the ceiling before sweetly dozing off.

((Eeeeish... Tis contagious! Wink ))

Kougu finally finished his soup, then checked his watch. It was drawing near to 5AM now... He ought to start getting ready. Kougu yawned and wandered off to his room, gathering up his school uniform before heading toward the bathroom. He had joined the school only one year ago when he had applied for a scholarship, and naturally, won it. He still wasn't sure why he had done it... He had never been to a school before then, yet he had aced the year 11 classes easily. It made sense... He had been taught well at home, after all... Still, he supposed he had joined the school simply so he might keep himself busy and keep his mind inspired. It gave him something to do with his time. Kougu rubbed his head as he stared at the bathroom door, trying to remember how the handle worked. He tried turning it, but to no avail. Grumbling irritably, he attempted pushing and tugging on it instead. Nothing. Kougu crouched down and tapped the lock, listening with his ear against the door as he did so. That was right... He had locked it. Kougu dumped his clothes at the door and stalked off to find the key. 20 minutes later he had found it and got the door open. He had a quick shower, then shook the moisture out of his hair and, after quickly brushing his teeth, grabbed his bag and headed out toward the school. It was around 5:30 now, a perfect time for him to start walking.

Heavy breathing echoed over Rora's head as a faint shrill noise awoke her in the distant. She flickered her eyes open and threw the blanket off her swiftly. She stood and wearily walked into the bathroom with clothes she had set out yesterday. She slid on her aeropostale tee with some jeans and her brown chuck taylors. Quickly brushing her mass of hair and brushing her teeth. She stood on front of the mirror staring at herself. She tilted her head and brought her hands up to mess with her hair. She exhaled and pushed her eyebrows together. Something didn't click. She left the mirror in dissapointment leaving her room grabbing her bag that hun outside her door.

Kougu walked aimlessly down the street, watching his worn old shoes as they carried him dreamily along. Dark rings under his sunken eyes announced his insomnia from the night before, and all those many nights before that. He was slightly delirious everywhere he went, yet not to the point that it affected him too much. He yawned, reaching up to scratch his messy nest of hair before being jerked back to full attention by a car hooter going off as a stream of cars began to soot past him. Kougu stumbled backwards, blinking in mild bewilderment. He had almost walked onto the highway... He chuckled slightly at he thought, then adjusted his bag into a more comfortable position and waited for a break in the traffic.

She left the already empty house, she did not care for her parents. They did not care for her. Almost as if they wanted her gone soon. She shuddered and walked to her old SUV. She climbed in and took off at a fast speed down the road, getting ready to hit the highway. Her fingers flicked the knob on the dashboard and music leaked into the old car. She bobbed her head to the music, thinking only about her outfit and what Gavin would think of it, untill she saw a figure in the road wearily walking along. They looked as if they had been drinking. But he looked. . . young, and tall, and eery. She watched him trip along and try and stay out of the road. But cars were weaving their way around him, it was dangerous. It clicked, he was the man from last night. Aurora sighed and pulled over, rolling down her window with force. She saw him walking a few feet away. "Hey. Um sir, be careful." She called out to him, feeling awkwardly stupid and foolish. He was grown, he knew left from right. She instantly regretted what she'd said. "Sorry." She spit out with shortness and anger in her tone.

Post  Polo trapped in an inkpot Wed Jun 30, 2010 5:00 pm

Kougu turned around as he heard a voice behind him. He forced a tense smile as he recognised her face, though he was not pleased to see her. Then again, he was never pleased to see anybody. At least she was making a vague effort to be nice to him... Then again, she seemed to think he had some sort of problem. He did not blame her. He probably did have one... His mind worked just fine though, he was sure of that. It was just his daydreaming that got him into such ridiculous situations... Or perhaps it was the fact that he had very little sense of self preservation? Either way, it didn't really matter... "Thank you for your concern." Kougu muttered quietly, raising a hand in farewell and turning his attention back to the problem at hand. He would just get across the road, come what may. Throwing caution to the winds, Kougu grabbed his school bag firmly and dashed across the road with the pace of a world class sprinter. His long legs streaked over the tarmac as he quickly covered the distance to the other side. He had to leap to dodge the last car, but by that time he was safely on the other side. Kougu glanced back at the road with a relatively pleased expression, glad that he had succeeded his task with no major injury. It made a nice change. Kougu shrugged and turned away, instantly drifting into a daydream. A few steps later, a loud "CLANG" jerked him back to his senses, and he found himself sitting on the ground with stars and cartoon birds circling his mind. He touched a hand to his forehead, then lowered it to see a slight red stickiness. He chuckled softly to himself as he realised what had happened. He had walked into the streetlamp... Oh well, no day for him could be complete without some for of clumsy injury in any case. The irony, however, of crossing the road safely only to collide with a streetlamp, was rather amusing to him. He snickered to himself again, then wiped the blood from his face and got to his feet, stepping off on the final leg of his journey, and actually paying attention this time.

Oh my god! He walked straight into a lamp. Aurora rolled her eyes and howled of laughter, she couldn't help it, almost getting hit by a car and falling, was quite funny. She rolled her orbs and steered herself onto the road again, watching him, closely, trot down the road, like a lost puppy. She giggled once more before zooming ahead past him and in the clusters of other cars. After she exited the ramp, she could see the dreaded highschool up ahead. She made her way and found an empty spot next to her friend Bailey's car. Bailes was climbing out as soon as Rora. They hooked arms and quietly walked past other people. Aurora's mind wasn't really what they were gossiping about, but on that guy. She couldn't shake it. She flushed carnation red and hoped he was okay. She'd laughed like a heynea. Bailey looked over and said, "What are getting all cutsey for?" Bailey's head swirled every wich way. "I don't see Gavin..." Aurora rolled her eyes and un-hooked arms with Bailey. "It's nothing." She shook her head, it was something, but her friend would just look at her like she was crazy. "Fine." Bailey laughed, I don't care, she did, but she wasn't really going to mess with it. Bailey walked away winking. Aurora smiled a toothy grin as she saw Gavin and some of his friends saunter by. He smiled back and stoped, linking arms with her. "Hey bug." Aurora smiled. "Hello." He giggled and scooped her petite figure into a hug and let her down gently. The shrill sound of the bell rang in every teen's ear. Gavin rolled his eyes, "See you in biolgy." He jogged off and Rora was alone. She blushed and blushed and thought of Gavin, but couldn't help thinking about that man. She wondered his name, his age, his family? Oh well, was all she could say now. Maybe in the future she'd see him again. She quietly walked to her first class history. After finding a seat and a place to doze she 'listened' to the teacher while staring blankly out the window her mind glazing over.

((O.O SUPERPIE! Wink Awesome post my friend. Razz ))

Kougu wandered around the empty school for a while, vaguely trying to remember what class he had first. Finally it struck him: History. Then again, that realisation was not much help, as he could not remember where the history class was... Kougu sighed and scratched his head, glancing around unconcernedly as he waited for his memory to kick in to action. When it refused to cooperate, Kougu simply shrugged and continued his mindless wanderings, hoping that he would stumble upon the class by accident. Eventually he did, peering through the glass window in the door to recognise his teacher's face. He tapped softly on the door, then pushed it open and stepped inside. "Sorry I'm late." Kougu stated tonelessly, glancing briefly at the teacher before wandering to his seat at the back of the class. The teacher was ranting and raving about tardiness and punctuality now, but Kougu did not really care, for he was not listening. His dark eyes darted around between locks of is hair, each messy strand as dark and shiny as a raven's wing. He took in his surroundings, his mind automatically calculating the dimensions of the room, the possible places an attacker could enter, the best escape route, and all sorts of meaningless information that would be of no use to him here. He sighed and rubbed his hands over his face in a weary gesture, pleading with his mind to forsake all its futile attempts and simply to focus on the lesson at hand. He slumped back in his seat, staring blankly at her. Wait... She was still speaking to him? He had not realised that... "Kougu! Kougu, are you listening?" She yelled irritably. Kougu jumped slightly, then jerked his full attention to her, his eyes losing their dreamlike quality for once as he began to concentrate. "This is not your class. This is year 9 (?). Your class is upstairs." She explained impatiently, a note of incredulity in her tone. "Oh- Oh, I see..." Kougu muttered, his slightly alarmed expression shifting to one of dawning comprehension. "My apologies." He added, leaving his seat and walking toward the door. He paused as he reached the whiteboard, frowning at it slightly, then glancing toward the teacher. "By the way..." He began thoughtfully, "That date is wrong." He pointed at it before going on, "Columbus embarked on his first voyage on 3 August 1942, not 1943..." He shrugged unconcernedly, then turned and left the room, heading toward his own class upstairs. When he finally found it, the bell rang and a flood of students came crashing through the doors, almost bowling him over. He sighed softly and let himself be swept along, despising being so close to other people, yet consoling himself with the fact that at least he could recognise some of his classmates and ind his own class. Apparently trying to recognise the teachers didn't work... It was too easy to get mixed up.

(Yeah... I kinda made a mistake, so I just used my character's generally unfocused personality to fix it. Razz He walked into the class but then, I quote, "He slumped back in his seat, staring blankly at her. Your class is upstairs." She explained impatiently" So he walked into the wrong class, then the teacher told him he was in the wrong place so he left to go to his class.)
