Character

Name: Slade Griffeth
Appearance:Link
Race: Human
Personality: He suffers from Multiple Personality Disorder.

Plot:

The Crimorsine Alliance is a secret organization that tracks down skilled vampires, and offers them risk-free, easy feeding in return for their services. The goal of the Crimorsine alliance is to purge the world of Lyredons – a race of deadly creatures casually referred to as ‘vampire hunters’. They prey on vampires and humans alike under cover of night, and hide during the day by crawling into the skin of their latest victim – thus assuming that person’s identity until the time comes to feed again. A Lyredon need only feed once per month, since they devour the innards of their victim entirely. They do, however, have a tendency for gluttony, which can lead them to discard a half-eaten victim, and feed on another simply for variety.
Though unimaginably powerful while in their true forms, the Lyredons are relatively helpless when in disguise.
This is where the Crimorsine vampires come in handy. The trackers are selected for their stealth, exterminators for their speed, and defenders for their strength.
The Crimorsine alliance selects only the most powerful of vampires to work for their cause. And of course, their power is greatly enhanced when in the Alliance, due to the nature of their prey. The Alliance only selects humans with the rare D+ blood type, which boosts the physical and mental abilities of a vampire.
The problem is, these strong-willed vampires seldom follow orders. Many a valuable vampire has been lost through sheer cockiness – refusing to flee from a transformed Lyredon.
Thus, the Alliance is forever recruiting – for despite their efforts, the Lyredons are thriving in cities packed full of stupid, overconfident vampires – who have learned to think themselves invincible after topping the food chain for thousands of years…

Raven - Jane Athropos
Looks
Vampire.
Raven is a cold hearted soul, she never speaks of her human life. That was nothing. Now she is concentrating on being superior. She is a dark being who can easily get her way.
She enjoys reading the mind of her pray as she drains them, feeding off more than the blood, feeding off their fear.

Raven - Jane -
The female silently approached her victim in the dark room, she was silent, she could move without him even knowing. Humans were such fools these days. She silently lunged towards him, one hand grasping his right shoulder the other covering his mouth. She stopped for a moment inhaling the sweet scent of fear before she invaded his every thought, sucking the pain before she'd even started feeding off her pray. She slid the hand that was on his shoulder almost sexily around his back before running her fingernails across his neck, finding the pulse in the most alluring way she could. Once the man had stopped being so afraid she chose her moment. Teeth plunging into his neck, breaking the skin going into his artery. It tasted good... She closed her eyes gently sucking up the blood, but she wasn't going to kill him. Taking most of his blood supply before she withdrew her teeth. She slid her finger over the two puncture wound before licking the blood that was on her finger. She then sealed the sound on his neck with a single slide of her tongue over the puncture wounds. "Was nice meeting you." She spoke before she pushed him into the chair and walking away. She let her heels click against the concrete below. Allowing herself to be heard for once, probably the only time the man would hear her move. She didn't let it happen often, though Raven knew she would probably never see the man again. She didn't feed as often as the others, being older she seen herself as being more superior than them. It was simple really, Age equalled beauty, beauty equalled intellectual ability, intellectual ability equalled power. Easy as one two three, as the humans would say.

He was different from the others.
This much was obvious from the moment he walked in. Walked - with his back straight and proud - rather than the pitiful crawling, screaming resistance the others put up.
Though even to the vampires escorting him, it was uncertain why this was so.
He was human, just like the rest, but his thoughts were shrouded in mystery. At times it seemed he was simply resigned to his fate - other times as though despair had crushed his spirit... Sometimes he seemed almost suicidal - like he wanted to feed the savage beasts hissing about the dark, underground labyrinth that was the Crimorsine Alliance.
And then there were those moments, rare as they were, when his escorts detected a fiery determination in him - so powerful that even these hardened beasts had to repress a shudder.
He was different.
Purposeful.
Unresisting.

His footsteps rang out eerily in the silence, until finally they came to a standstill. For the first time, he looked up - calm blue eyes finally escaping the shadow of his fringe to take in his new home.
It was dark, damp and cold - a cage of iron bars. Within it, a group of pale, wet and tatty-looking humans cowered away. They whimpered and shivered. At least, those who had the energy did. The rest seemed to have despaired already.
Slade felt a sharp shove in his back, and the force of it flung him into the cage. He struck the bars on the opposite side with a resounding 'clang' - and fell instantly to his knees.
Slowly, he straightened, and walked to the corner of the cage - away from the group of his fearful, trembling brethren.
He listened as the vampires walked away - and though their words made little sense to him, he remembered them, in case they should matter at a later stage.

"She'll be wanting a new one, soon."
"Gets more'n her share, I reckon - the way she goes through 'em."
"Can't deny she's earned it, though. They've got to keep her happy... The Alliance can't afford another rogue."
"All the same... She goes through a human a day."
"Not always. She plays with them - like a cat."
"A cat, huh...? More a lioness, I reckon."

There were a muffled sound of laughter - then the two turned a corner, and their voices were lost to Slade.

[[ I am in school, sorry for any typos! Will probably be quite a suckish post only got like 10 mins Dx]]

Raven - Jane
The female walked out, the moment she closed the cage her footsteps falling silent once again. Deadly as she glanced around before she became one with the shadows, invisible to every sight except infrared. There were few that could see her when she was like this. The slow irregular beat of her cold heart almost unhearing. The older she'd got the more silent and deadly Raven had become. She fitted her dark name perfectly; it was the way she was, her last name being from her mother, who was one of the 'fates'. Usually giving the death sentence. Ravens smile was hard and cold as she thought on his matter. How she missed her mother, though she was the one who had killed her. She’d enjoyed her blood the most, the god’s sweet blood was long gone, but that was just in her younger years now she had to survive off human blood. While she didn't really need it she took it. Being offered the sweet tastes of it, with a new person frequent. That was the way to be. She got her own way pretty much all the time.
"Do I have another meal?" She snarled as she appeared behind one of the guards. She'd left the other human living, but she would finish him later, she was bored of that one already it was time to go play with a new innocent soul... Well. Not innocent for much longer this place was boring her she was tiring of it so soon. She gave a sigh tearing herself from her thoughts as the guards gruff tones were audible.
"In the seventh cell. Have fun with this one, he's different."
The thought of having a new play mate almost excited her, one that was different? They were humans, that was impossible they were all so pathetic and worthless. All so scared and terrified. She loved to play with her meals.

"You've been served." A cold voice announced softly.
For a moment it seemed Slade would ignore it, but then he looked up slowly - meeting the cruel crimson eyes of the vampire leering at him through the bars.
Slade said nothing, and a flicker of annoyance crossed the beast's expression.
"Raven has picked you. Come, I'll take you to her."
The rest of the humans howled in horrified fear as the vampire entered - Slade alone remaining silent. When the monster's icy fingers closed tightly around his wrist, he yielded to the touch, and exited the cage calmly.
The vampire glared at him as they walked - obviously frustrated by his lack of resistance - but it dared not harm him, since he was her property, now...
Then they reached her.
"Your prey, Raven." The vampire snarled, shoving Slade roughly toward her.
He stepped forward, keeping his balance even after the sharp force of the vampire's hand crashing into the space between his shoulder blades.
Slowly, he raised his head, and studied the vampire with calm blue eyes.
"You're the one that picked me."
It was a statement, not a question - and also the first thing he had said since his arrival.
He lifted his chin in defiance - his confidence impressive, yet pathetic. He was like a mouse standing up to a cobra...
"Use me well." He demanded, tilting his head slightly aside to expose the tantalisingly soft skin of his neck.

((Wow! Well done! :3 ))

Raven - Jane
The female watched him approach before raising an eyebrow at his willingness. She removed the expression from her face taking his wrist and leading him down the hall. She shoved him down into the chair before she walked away, going to the shadows, making it seem as if she had left the room. Slamming the door shut before the young female walked around the room, keeping one with the shadows, invisible from the humans vision, the way she intended to stay. She studied him, why wasn't he afraid, this one was going to be the challenge. she needed fear, she'd grown too used to it to not feed without it. She was feared in these parts but why wasn't he.
She mentally scowled, a human had her thinking...
Possibly worried?!
Never.
She walked towards him, silent keeping from usual view before she came in view in front of him, leaning forward running a fingernail down the side of his face.
"So, why aren't you afraid of vampires?" She asked, fangs gleaming in the faint light, fresh blood stains on them from her latest feed. If he didn't amuse her enough maybe she'd just go back to him. She remembered the man that she's left literally wetting himself in fear.

Tension began building in Slade when the vampire vanished, but when she reappeared before him, he slowly began to relax. Whether it was true relaxation, however, or forced - was a matter to debate.
He shifted his head slightly away from the irksome touch of the vampire's fingernail against his neck, and met her gaze - holding it calmly.
"Why?" He repeated, frowning slightly.
"I never said I wasn't afraid of vampires..." He pointed out, raising his chin slightly. "You assumed."
With that cheeky response, he looked away - lifting his thumb to his mouth.
He bit down on the tip, harder and harder, until a bead of blood bloomed there. He watched it grow for a moment in smug satisfaction, then let his tongue flick out and sweep it away.
He was teasing the vampire, now. Taunting her... He truly was different.
He was certainly reckless... But was it due to bravery, or did the strange man have a secret death wish?

Raven - Jane
Raven watched him, calm though amusement briefly flicked through her eyes as he shifted away from her touch. Oh how that amused her,
"Buddy, if your trying to taunt me it's not working." She stated before she straddled his lap, resting a hand on his shoulder. "I've just fed, but another one couldn't hurt. After all, there is only so much one can take of the human stench of sweat." She spoke, her voice formal though sounding deadly. she was evil, her cold heart clear. She leant forward running her teeth over his neck, before she playfully nipped him, though not breaking skin as he teeth grazed his neck.
She was then gone.
Having faded away with the shadows and shot off his lap, as easily as if the wind had blown her off. She kept the shadows firmly around herself, observing him from the back of the room, wanting to watch his every reaction, he didn't smell of the usual sweat, not even urine.
Nothing.

Slade drew in a sharp gasp of breath as he felt the vampire's teeth pinch the skin of his neck. He closed his eyes, and squirmed instinctively toward the pressure - longing for the savage release of pain... Of hot blood burning his entire body as it was sucked ravenously from him.
Unfortunately, it never came.
The vampire vanished, and Slade was left sitting alone and uninjured.
He raised his bleeding thumb to his mouth, and sucked the tip thoughtfully - gazing patiently around the room, as though he were birdwatching, rather than waiting for a vampire to emerge.
"What do they call you?" He asked the room at large, his confident blue gaze futilely sweeping the shadowy corners.
"What's your name...?"
He thought he caught a flash of movement, and his gaze steadied - eyes locked on the spot he was sure the vampire was standing.
There was something strange about him. He sensed more than he should... Like some animalistic instinct was at work within him.

Raven - Jane
She watched him like a bird would watch its prey hearing his questions though not answering till his gaze stopped on her. She watched him in shock, no one could track her. She moved along the shadows silently, making sure she was fully coating in the damp darkness, making sure it wasn't a fluke, a lucky guess. She stopped half way along the wall opposite watching him. She wasn't going to speak, not yet. She didn't want to blow her position away to him.
She watched him, waiting for him to find her, wanting to know more about this human. Why was he acting the way he was. Why did he want to be bitten?
She knew one thing for sure.
She wasn't going to kill him.
Well... Not today anyway...

Slade felt rather than saw the vampire move. He sensed the motion in the air, and turned his head uncertainly in the direction she had moved.
Why was she silent?
For the first time, Slade began to feel uneasy. He abandoned his chair, and stood slowly - dropping his hands to his sides. The short hairs on the back of his neck were bristling, and he felt a strange chill in the air.
"Your name." He repeated quietly - reaching into his senses, and locking eyes directly with the vampire.
He stood tall, and confident - so out of place as the prey he was.

She gave up cloaking herself as he found her easily the second time. The shadows slid off her body revealing her body, "How did you find me?!" She demanded watching him, needing to know. He wasn't human. It was impossible, and yet he sounded every bit human...
"Raven," Gruff tones spoke her name as a male walked in. "Come on, we're going out. Bring your meal if you have to." He stated before walking out.
The female nodded, her hand grasping his wrist firmly, though not hard enough to break bones. She was only playing,

"I looked." Slade replied simply.
He turned his attention away from her when the other vampire entered - though when he spoke her name, Slade's gaze returned to Raven.
Raven...
A fitting name.
He was startled from his thoughts, then, by a firm grip on his wrist.
Suddenly, unexpectedly, the human seemed to snap.
"I'll follow on my own!" He snapped viciously - jerking his arm away with such force that he strained his wrist. He gasped, and hissed angrily - cradling the injured hand to his chest, and glaring accusingly at the vampire.
"After you, Raven." He sneered, emphasizing her name - and thus flaunting the fact that he dared speak to her like an equal.

She released his wrist as he pulled it before watching him with a harsh smile as he accused her. "You are the fool, keep up." She stated simply as she walked out. Not taking his jab on the fact he knew her name.
It was a name, nothing special.
He didn't know anything about her heritage...
No one did.
If they knew she was a descendant from the great gods, who knew what would happen. They knew she was old, but no where near as old as that.

Slade followed after Raven, grumbling ceaselessly to himself. He seemed suddenly twitchy and agitated - completely different to before - and seemed incapable of calming himself.
"Where are we going, anyway?" He demanded rudely, jerking his chin upwards in defiance.
He refused to fear this vampire. She was a coward - nearly human, in his eyes...
This was not the horrific experience he had expected. This was just like some pointless vacation to a dark land...

Raven- Jane-
She looked over at the human before debating on answering his question. She decuided against her judgement and kept to herself following the other vampire, if she was honest she didn't know where they were going. She did as told most of the time as long as she was given the time to do her own thing with her pray. At least she'd fed once todsy, she didn't know if she was going to feed off this perticular human today. She may just let him watch as she finished off the one she started earlier. Tht was bound to stimulate a reaction, he wanted to be fed off... It would makehim squirm watching her feed off someone else.

"Where are we going?!" Slade repeated - more forcefully now. He was scowling at the vampire, and hot anger was evident in the frowning creases on his face.
He dug in his heels like a stubborn donkey - refusing to take another step before his question had been answered.
"Answer me, you coward!" He spat at Raven. There was eerie silence for a moment, and Slade caught Raven's companion staring at him in open-mouthed shock. "WHAT?!" He demanded with a furious hiss, striding boldly forward toward the vampire. "You got something to say, Fluffy? 'Cause I'm all ears, mate! Lay it on me!"
He thumped his chest heavily to demonstrate - standing right in front of the vampire now - an angry sneer on his face.
"Human filth!" The male vampire growled, reaching out to seize Slade by the throat. "Know your place!"
"Know yours!" Slade retorted angrily, bashing the vampire's hand away with unexpected force for a human.
He took a step back, and included Raven in his furious ranting now.
"You fools are supposed to be at the top of the food chain! You have the reputation of being monsters who could make a grown man weep, or a monk denounce his faith! You are the ultimate fear of all humanity - yet when I see you in person, you're less than a mockery of what I imagined a vampire to be!"
The male vampire hissed in high-pitched fury, and let out a strangled scream of anger. "Pathetic human! You dare-"
"I'M pathetic?!" Slade roared, a loud bark of laughter bursting from his lips, "I'm human. I'm your f***ing prey, man, and I've got more balls than you do!"
He spat on the ground at the vampire's feet, then turned his back - and took a step away.
"I'm leaving. It's just a waste of my time being held captive by a coven of tame squirrels."

She rose an eyebrow at the sudden outburst before watching him step away. "Let him go, he'll probably just pee his pants like the rest of them. All mouth no trousers, he is just a human, a very pathetic one at that." Raven stated, wanting to create a reaction. Though she spun on her heel, walking away to continue her hunt, another human. "I'm pathetic?" Slade repeated quietly, without even turning to face Raven, "And yet you're the one who can't even hold onto one pathetic human. So much for vampires being fierce."
He shook his head in icy disappointment, squared his shoulders, and walked away.

Only he could walk willingly into a vampire coven, and not find one beast malicious enough to partake of his blood, or rip him limb from limb as he had seen in the past.

It was as though somebody had tamed these useless excuses for vampires...

She watched him walk away before she shadowed herself and followed. Once close enough she grabbed him by the shoulders and sunk her teeth into his neck without warning. She sucked his blood before leaving him with about three quarters and stepped away. The taste... It was new, she turned her back on him and strode away once again.

Slade had no time to react. By the time he realised the vampire was following, her teeth were in his neck. And by the time he had registered that he ought to get away, she had drunk her fill of his blood, and pulled away - leaving him feeling dizzy and nauseated.
Somewhat dazed, he clamped a hand over his bleeding neck, but said nothing.
Finally, a subtle smile crept to his lips.
"So you only attack when your victim's back is turned?" Slade taunted - though despite his words, he seemed pleased with the vampire's actions.
"Coward."
He chuckled appreciatively under his breath.

"I don't bother with drugs..." Slade muttered irritably - though he frowned in concern when he saw Raven lean weakly against a fence. He had never seen a vampire do that before...
The shock of it jolted Slade into a switch, and suddenly his more caring personality took the wheel.
For a moment he looked confused - unsure as to where he was - but then he noticed Raven again, and rushed to her side.
"Are you all right, miss?" He asked in concern - hurriedly sliding his arm around her shoulders to support her. "Are you hurt?"

Raven Jane -
"What is with your blood?" She demanded trying to get away from him, not liking the sudden change, was he trying to kill her?! "Is it some form of poison?! I didn't do anything to you!" She snapped in her defence, though despite the anger i her words she was weak, unable to uphold her anger, it was just empty

"M-my blood?" Slade stammered, confused. "I don't understand... I-" He broke off, seeming to reach a conclusion, and calmed instantly.
"It's okay, miss." He soothed, lifting Raven away from the wall, and supporting her carefully. "You're delirious. We'll get you to a hospital, and you'll be just fine..."
Then, completely without warning, Slade returned to his usual state.

"Haven't you had enough?" He snapped - suddenly irritably again. "Get off me!" He shoved Raven away, and folded his arms - watching her indignantly. "I dunno what your problem is, but it serves you right for being such a wimp."
