[xD well you know..that's good makes the character nice and round and not flat and now he's all dynamic and junk! look at me, i'm using words i learned in language arts! yay i have kept something in my brain! *dances* ]

Cora ginned and scooped some brownie batter into a small bowl for him, and grabbed a spoon.

"I have to warn you though, this is super delicious stuff right here. Hope you can handle it."
She gave him a big grin and handed him the spoon and bowl, then went back to eating her own.

"So, um, no hospital, right?" She asked, licking the batter off her spoon as she leaned against the counter.
She did want him to go to the hospital, but if he truly was against it then she wouldn't force him. However, that "cut" did need to be checked by someone, and she was no expert.

"I'll go start a wash for your clothes." Cora said, setting the bowl and spoon down again and going to grab his clothes. She came back with them and went down the stairs to the laundry room. There she put the cloths in the washing machine and added some detergent. Then she started the wash and came back up.

"Okay, in a little bit your clothes will be nice and clean!" She gave him a smile and picked her batter bowl back up.

Sorry about the terrible ending, but I suddenly just got WAY tired. You know how it hits you unexpectedly... ))

Ty chuckled politely at Cora’s comment, taking the bowl from her and prodding the contents suspiciously with his spoon. He shook his head instantly at the mention of the hospital, then shoveled a spoonful of brownie batter into his mouth to take his mind off it. The sweet taste caressed his taste buds – almost too sweet, yet with that bitter, chocolatey edge… He had to admit, the batter was good. In fact, from that first taste, he did not even notice any mistakes, which was rare for him – seeing as how he was often judgmental when it come to others’ culinary skills.
Then again, perhaps the sole reason for his sudden acceptance was simply because he still felt too numb to properly taste anything. It was true… Shock was, as Lizzie would have said ‘a bitch’.

Lizzie…

Tyson’s spoon paused half way to his mouth, then he lowered it to the bowl again, stirring the batter slowly. If Lizzie had been here… Sure he’d have been irritated, but Lizzied would have made sure Cora was having a good time. She had always been so fun and full of life… Who would have thought that life could be snatched away so easily?
Now he was left to do everything on his own. There had been times thus far when he doubted he even could. Already he was being a burden to Cora…
This was proved again when she suddenly stood up, announcing that she would wash his clothes. He knew he should have offered to do it, but the very thought of surrounding himself with Lizzie’s blood again: The sight and scent of it… It made his stomach churn.
Suddenly, the bowl of batter before him didn’t look quite as appetizing, and Ty soon found himself toying with it rather than lifting it to his mouth.

He didn’t understand this. Lizzie had meant so much to him, and she’d been such a huge part of his life that he doubted he could even get by without her!
So why wasn’t he hurting?
Why didn’t he care?
Why on earth did he feel like he could carry on living life as per usual, and nothing would change…?

Tyson forced his glum thoughts aside as Cora reappeared, standing as she entered the room and flashing a grateful smile. He wished he could thank her… Really thank her for everything she’d done for him – but what could he do? Words just weren’t enough any more, and written ones seemed to be worth even less.

Someday, somehow, he would find a way to pay her back. But in the meantime…
Ty fixed a friendly smile on his face, then reached out his hand and ruffled Cora’s hair affectionately as she walked past.

Cora watched him curiously as he mushed the brownie mix with his spoon. She took another bite of hers and tilted her head slightly.

"Hey, are you alright? Do you feel sick?" Her voice was full of concern while she watched him, her eyes darting all over his face and her eyebrows were furrowed in worry. Was there something wrong with the brownie mix? Did he not like it? She shrugged the questions away, for they were rather trivial and probably had nothing to do with his actions. He probably was only thinking about Lizzie.

Lizzie. She hadn't known her long, and they hadn't gotten off on the right foot. But maybe if they got over that they would have been friends. She sighed, and blinked.

What had she been doing with that gang in the first place? From what Ty had told her, they were bad news. So what was she doing? Suddenly she got rather excited at the thought of a mystery.

"Oh wow!" She said aloud, going over it all in her head. She could get one of those Sherlock Holmes outfits, and go looking for clues. Then when she realized how ridiculous that was, and laughed a bit.
