The female awoke from slumber as the light trickled in from the slightly open blinds. A groan traveled trough her lips and she shot straight up in bed, her hair a mess. Her fingers rubbed at her sleepy eyes and he feet hit the floor with a thud. The female stood and immediately went into a stretch, raising her hands above her head, and curving her back for a long stretch which was followed by a dramatized yawn. Kris shifted to the bathroom, running the brush through her hair and brushing teeth quickly before doing her make-up and then leaving back into her room wear she found a pair of skinny jeans and band tee. Her feet were slipped into her red TOMS and she moved out of her room, grabbing a banana before leashing her Golden Retriever up for the daily morning walk.

Gary was awaken by his rottie/chow chow/pitbull mix from a deep slumber. Leash in his mouth he awoke his master with a wagging nub that was his tail. Droopy ears perked up and ready to go. Gary smiled at him and groaned and patted his head before getting up. He ran a hand through his messy hair smoothing it back only for a few strands to stick straight up in the air. He walked to the bathroom bringing his jogging clothes which consisted of shorts and a tank top. Brushed his teeth quickly and washing his face with cold water to wake up.

Soon he was out the door with his dog Meshack on the leash and heading down the sidewalk. The air hung cool and moist from the dew surrounding them. Early morning sprinklers turned on and the mist blown from them cooled them as they jogged down the sidewalks.

The female sighed, heading for the beach. As she stepped foot onto the sand, a smile urged it's way onto her lips and she continued on the edge of the water, her eyes watching the waves that pushed and pulled the sand before her. Kris took a deep breath, breathing in the aroma of the beautiful ocean, the wind ripping through her dark auburn hair, and playing with her shirt in the wind. It was quite content and peaceful, and the dog seemed to enjoy the features as well, however seemed more interested in the seagulls. Kris then began to walk again, stopping at a taco stand to get a bacon and egg taco, her usual routine each morning. She consumed it, allowing the dog to have a piece of bacon in return for a hand shake. The two took a seat on a bench, her eating at her taco and the dog laying obediently at her feet.

"Meshack!" Escaped from Gary's lungs, a mix of giving an order and a laugh as the mutt took off towards the beach after a cat then his eyes landed on the seagulls that went into a frenzy. He chased them into the water and into the waves. Which were his favorite. Gary stopped jogging at the beginning of the sand and leaned on a palm tree's ridged trunk. Covered in sweat he began to think that taking a dip wouldnt be such a bad idea. Looking over his eyes found a girl on the bench where Meshack had ran past. "Oh, im sorry if that crazy dog of mine disturbed you. He forgets his manners sometimes" He spoke gently

The female's eye was caught by a dog that was frantically chasing after the birds and playing in the water, which made a giggle escape from the girl's slightly parted lips. The dog then had approached on the bench, which her Golden Retriever, Deuce, found amazing. The dog sniffed the other, her tail wagging rapidly before she took a seat back protectively at the female's feet. Then Kris heard a apologetic, gentle voice. She smiled lightly, her eyes moving from the dog to the male. "No, no..it's fine," she nodded. "He was just enjoying himself," she laughed, and pet the dog lightly on his head before standing to approach the male. Kris held out a hand, "I'm Kristin, or Kris," she nodded with a tight lipped smile.

His hand met hers in a firm handshake, "Im Gary. And that is my dog Meshack" He said motioning towards the bigger of the two. Dropping her hand he took a more comfortable stance, more relaxed. "Meshack come" He commanded in a gentle voice and the dog came trotting over and sat at his feet as he was rubbed down and behind the ears. "You have a beautiful dog by the way" He complimented

Kris smiled at his obedient dog. "Nice to meet you two," she nodded and looked back at her own dog with was chewing on some type of stick. The female smiled and the male had complimented her, saying her dog was nice looking. She'd agree with him, her dog was pretty nice. "Thank you, his name is Deuce," she nodded, rubbing at the dog's silky fur before her gaze examined over his dog. "I do take a liking to your dog," the female smirked. "A..pitbull mix?"

"Pitbull, chow and rottweiler" He smiled and let the dog lay down at his feet. "People dont like him usually with what his mix is, they think he would be the meanest dog in the world. He's the nicest dog you will ever meet with those breeds in him." He explained. He had a hidden flash back to when he lived in his old town, people didnt even know Meshack and told him that he had to be put down. They didnt know the real Meshack...and no one knew the real Gary. He let out a small sigh and sat down petting the dog's side slowly.

Kris could understand this. People were so quick to judge, even when their judgment was usually wrong. The girl sighed, watching his dog with a smile. "Meshack, does seem like a lover," she smirked and then gripped on Duece's leash. The dog obediently stood at her side and watched for her command. "Hey, I'm having a party tonight if you'd like to come..It's at six over on the beach behind that beach house," she pointed with a proud smile, biting at her lip slightly.

"Alright. Six? Yeah i can make it" He said with a smile and stood again along with his dog at his side. "I'll see you then" he smiled and hooked Meshacks leash back on his collar and brushed the sand off him and his fur. He looked out to where she was pointing and knew where it was, he'd been around there before but it was a while ago.

Kris smiled as he agreed to coming over for her party later, "All right.." she smiled before waving and walking back towards her pretty nice beach home where she'd host the usual epic party. Once inside, the female let Deuce off his leash, the dog immediately finding the water bowl. Kris then plopped onto the couch, finding the remote and turning the TV to on. The News report then sparked her attention. An earthquake in Japan, Tornadoes in the Plains..Hurricanes on the Coast. The female shot up from the couch, running to the window to watch outside. Everything was fine there..now.

On the way home Gary froze. For his ability to control the elements, he could also feel a disturbance within them. Things definitely weren't right, the earth beneath him was tense, along with the water and the air. He could feel it. With that he picked up a brisk sprint now his dog keeping up easily. When he got home he flipped on the news and his suspicions were confirmed. A lot was happening, and this wasnt going to be good.

The female sighed and picked up her cell phone to ask her friend if she was ready to come over and set up. For now, she'd shrug this all off and just have fun..for once. However, when she had called her friend, the phone went directly to voicemail. The girl bit at her lip and thought, soon remembering that today she had just flown back from Oklahoma. Her eyes immediately moved to the TV, where they were just now talking about Oklahoma was just hit bit a killer tornado, taking many lives. Kris shook her head, it didn't involve her friend, Taylor, she simply repeated to herself. Kris walked into the back, rearranging a few chairs, hanging a few lanterns and waiting for her Dad to return from the grocery store and begin working on the barbecued food they had planned to eat at the party. Her eyes flashed to the waves that were being pushed into huge walls, then crashing at the bottom, the wind around her fluttering with her hair more rapidly than usual.

His dad got home. The wind and water turned crazy around here as his pulse rose along with his anger. He hated his dad, and his dad hated him. Psht, what else was new? It was rare that his dad came home at all. Gary had moved out about two years prior to now. "Take it easy earth boy, im getting a couple things" He snapped at Gary before turning and walking out the door just as fast as he came in. "Mooching off my food again huh? classic" He grumbled to himself and Meshack growled from the kitchen as his father left. Gary headed upstairs after locking the rest of the house up and arming the alarm and got cleaned up for the party.

Her Dad soon came home, walking out to where she was. "Dad," she smiled, wrapping her arms around the middle aged man. A smile was plastered on her lips as he hugged her back.
"Hey, pumpkin. I got a few ribs, steaks, briskets and chicken," he nodded, showing her the bag of meat. "Also some salad, rolls and such."
Kris nodded, "Thanks Dad. Got any beer?" she asked with a smirk and the male shoot her a playful glare before retreating into the house to begin cooking. Anyone would agree that her father's barbecue was the best, ever. After deciding everything looked fine, the girl shuffled into her room and laid on the bed, pulling out her journal to write about this morning.

Gary put on his shorts and a tank that hugged his torso snuggly and sprayed on his cologne before grabbing a plaid button up shirt to put over his shoulders. He grabbed his wallet and his keys for the house and patted Meshack a goodbye and walked out the door locking it behind him. His sneakers made a soft slap against the concrete with each step and he shoved his hands into the pockets of his shorts and began the walk to where the party was

People started to arrive in bunches, and Kris's father had put on some Micheal Jackson CD that was now blasting throughout the house. "Kris!" he had called, calling her down stairs to where the party was beginning. A smile moved onto her lips and she hugged everyone that came through the doors, most her friends and some her father's. Everybody seemed to rush outside and she followed them, they all started to swarm around the volleyball net, playing a few brutal games.

He arrived at the lit up house, by the shore. He prayed that no one would get him pissed tonight so close to the 2nd most dangerous element he can control. He took a deep breath and went through the open door and found his way out to the back where they were all playing volleyball. The ocean made him nervous sometimes. It can snap whenever, even without his control because there is always another person like him that can do the same thing..but is just abusing his power.

Kris's telepathy took over, reading everyone's thoughts some nice and some just..disgusting. Then, Gary's thoughts came into reach which made a smile enter her lips. She found him with ease, and her smile widened, her eyes looking over him. "I'm glad you could make it," she said to him softly, her fingers then curling around his wrists as she pulled him towards the life of the party.

"I'm glad I could make it!" He smiled and willingly let her drag him towards the party. Everyone was having a great time, though it was pretty hot out and with one smooth breath from his lungs he was able to bring a nice cool breeze through that he could see was appreciated. "So, this is what a party is" He said with a chuckle

The female laughed at him comment, stopping at the punch table and handing him a cup that was just about full. Kris nodded, looking up at him. "This would be a party, yes." The girl shot him a smirk, and got a cup for herself, taking a sip, before focusing into his eyes, reading his thoughts. She only stayed in his head for a fe seconds, her eyes soon leaving his sight as she scanned the dancing people.

"Never really been to a party before, to be totally honest. I wasnt allowed out of my house for a when i lived with my dad." He said with a sigh taking a glass for himself and having a drink. The cool liquid ran down his throat cooling him down all the way through. He watched as the trees danced with the light breeze he had brought on and smiled up to the sky wishing he could control that somehow, he had an eye for sunsets.

Kris sighed, "Wow, that sucks," she said, her voice soft and her eyes moved to the water, who's waves were getting worse and worse, the wind ripping through the trees. It sent a chill down her spine and she then moved her gaze back to Gary. "Wanna dance?" she asked, a playful smirk on her face, but she didn't wait for his answer, instead slipped into the crowd.
