I seen my fathers move the moment he reached into his pocket. No. I whispered. As he posted the pen knife. "i guess anger will be your last emotion next to pain"he spoke. Though as he raised the blade i threw myself in front of jake. My scream ripped though the air as the blade plunged into my shoulder.

I growled and lunged for him taking him to the ground in a tackle as Courtney rushed to her side. I didnt hit him...not yet anyway. I pinned his arms down and stared right into his eyes. "I.Love.Her. And there is nothing you can do about it." I growled

"g g g go. Dad." i struggled to get out, slowly dropping to my knees. struggling to breath. "jess. You're stupid! He'll ruin you!" Jay snapped. Blindly throwing punches

A fist hit me in my temple. Then everything went dark and i went out cold. What he didnt know was that was a spot that was just hit just a few days earlier. I fell silent and still on the ground. Myth came to our aid and guarded us from him as well as Sayen

"Jake?" Jess asked. Weakly. Trying to stand though failing. Jay grumbled. Before going to the car. He'd finish this later.

"My god. Jake" courtney said crawling over to my lifeless body that was just a few feet from Jess.

I passed my phone to courtney. Ring an ambulance. I spoke. I forced myself closer to jake i ran a finger down his face. Biting my lip. I couldn't loose him

Punching in the numbers calling the ambulance she was frantic. While i just laid there. I groaned softly and my head fell to the side

"shhh. Don't leave me." I whispered to him. Letting my hand rest on his cheek. I squealed as i want to move my bad arm. Maybe not...

"J--" I squeaked then took in a lung full of air.

"Shhh i'm here. He's gone. I'll talk to police later." I whispered to him. Slowly taking his hand. Squeezing his hand softly

My eyes barely opened and one was bloodshot. His ring caught the corner of my eye leaving its mark in my skin. 'im sorry' i mouthed to her

"This isn't your fault. I'd take a knife for you any day." I told him. Keeping his hand close. I kissed it softly before lowering myself. Slowly capturing his lips. Though a single tear escaped. Splashing on his face as i did.

a soft sob bursted from my chest feeling her hot tear hit my cold skin. For once my skin was cold, something that i never felt before.

I slowly pulled back. Holding his hand tightly, i was glad dizzy wasn't kicking off. I didn't have the strength. "Paramedics will be here soon." i told him softly, "Hang in there. Stay with me." I near enough begged him.

I felt my body tense in pain from my head and i slowly slipped my eyes closed

I smiled. Squeezing his hand. "stay with me" I whispered. Glancing at courtney as the paramedics arrived

"youd better go wtih him..i- i cant see him like this" courtney whimpered with her hand over her mouth nd her eyes clamped shut to stop the tears. she had only heard the fights and seen the bruises. but never has she seen it all happen at once. it was too much for her.

I nodded. Using my good arm to hug courtney. "I can see it now, he'll pull through." I told her, "Dizz is tied to the trailer" I added before following the paramedics

She nodded and jogged back into the trailer with her face in her hands as she left. I was loaded up into the ambulance and could hear everything around me. Hearing my sister cry over me was just tearing me up inside. I made sure she never saw me fight, it worried her way too much.

I slowly got in with him. Letting one look at my shoulder. My hair had got caught in the wound. Becoming matted and painful. I took jakes hand. Rubbing the back with my thumb. Letting him know i was there.

My eyes slowly opened a few hours later and i was in the hospital, iv's hooked up to my arms and the heart monitor beeping away with every heart beat. I took in my first real breath on my own and my chest rose and fell with a wheeze from my throat.

Phone keeps crashing.

I paced relentlessly my arm was held in a sling my shoulder bandaged. My hair was still a mess. I sighed. Wanting to know about jake.

"Good you're Awake" The nurse spoke and i looked over. "Where's Jess?" I croaked my voice barely came out. "She's fine her shoulder will make it. She will survive I promise" She smiled. Her attitude towards this made me smile slightly, brightened my mood a bit. "Can you--" I was cut off by her nodding her head and walked out to where Jess was. "Jessica? You can see him now"

I smiled, slowly heading inside. I noticed he was awake and slowly walked to him. "You alright?" I asked him. Sitting in the chair beside him. Wincing.
