Me and Chiita

"The night isn't so bad. A lot monsters and people have disadvantages in the dark. Believe me on that one. And we need to go to Italy. There's a small port town just outside border who'll ship us for free. I know a some of a some one and a certain someone down there owns big time. I was planning to get half there tonight, but do you want your 'rest rule' to kick in tonight then were only going to make it a quarter of the way there.

"Cant we just fly to Italy?" He asked, tilting his head. "I have an emergency credit card from my dad for when this kinda thing happens."

"If I must say, flying makes me sick, and no normal sick, believe me. The only thing I can't do. Besides, we need to think differently. I said only Ares and I know about this tailsmen, and he'll try to think like us, as 'regular' kids. So don't tell me you get sea sick." She said. "And don't make fun of me of the whole flight sickness. It gets the best of anyone."

He blinked. "Er no...I don't get seasick. But you know...Poseidon and my dad kinda...don't get along. So the ocean would probably kill me. Unless they made nice. Which won't happen." He sighed. "Well that sucks."

"Well, Zeus doesn't think much of Ares, probably why I get from flying. He'd probably do worse if I was a pain like my half brothers." She stopped and shook her head. "What other option do we have? Driving would take too long. "

"We can't drive over the ocean anyways. Plus flying is much faster. I have some stuff you can take so you won't get to sick. And if we go that away," He pointed to the left with his hand, "We can get a lift to the airport."

"You know when I said drive, I meant over the land. And let's hope it will knock me out because I don't want to feel loopy will sitting there." She reluctantly, almost grimacing as she said it.

"I'm joking." He chuckled. "And you should just feel normal. It's not normal medicine. Come on." He started walking to the left, towards his farm.

Raven followed behind him. "I'll stay out here." She said, figuring that he was going to head inside.

He shrugged. "You can come in. My moms going to want you to, anyways. No use in resisting." He grinned and walked in, holding the door open for her.

'Here we go.' she thought with a sigh. "Don't ask why I'm following your advice." She whispered to him as she walked through the door. The farm house was nice, but she already uncomfortable with this. The girl was use to her down graded home in the abandon streets of the town. She stopped only couple steps in, shifting weight to her right leg.

He walked past her. "Come on. I think she's out back." He smiled gently to her, sensing her uncomfort.

Raven sucked in a deep breath to keep her level head. This was almost too different from what she's been use to. She followed him again, but reluctantly. She just wanted to stop mid stride and stay in the spot.

"Shes not scary. Come on." He opened the back door and walked outside. "Mom!" He called. "We need a ride to the airport!" His moms head popped out from behind the fence. "We?" She saw Raven and stood, smiling and wiping her hands off with a dirty towel(not to effective). "Well hi there! Who's this?" She asked, smiling at Jeremiah. He narrowed his eyes at her. "A friend, Mom."

Raven smiled small and let up a quick, small wave, but she just let them talk. She didn't really want to talk any who. Raven could see from the corner of her eye Jeremiah narrowly look at her, but she didn't seem to respond to it. She was focused on the woman who standing in front of her. Clearly, she wasn't afraid of getting dirty unlike most girls and women she seen, which wasn't a bad thing in her mind.

His mom looked back at him. "Whats this about going to the airport?" She asked, looking at him with narrowed eyes. He shifted his weight nervously. "The airport." He said, his voice cautious. His mothers eyes widened. "Not because..?" He nodded. She sighed and nodded. "Alright. Let's go."

Raven waited for them to get things around. She didn't need much, so that's probably why she didn't take off to get get anything before they left.

"Jerry, you can go pack your own things. Raven, come with me." Jeremiah cringedat the name she called him. He couldn't stand being called Jerry, but that was just his mothers way. He went upstairs to go pack. His mother took Raven all the way upstairs to the attic. She pulled out a newish looking trunk, and waved Raven around to sit beside her as she opened it. "You can sort through these and find things to wear. They should fit you. My daughter was about your size." Her eyes grew sad and she stood, walking out. She left the light on for her.

Raven sat there for a moment, thinking quietly. Things were starting to connect in her head. Something must of happened to this other girl that involved Ares. she could easily tell it. Judging by the way the woman use 'was' Ares had done some terrible, not like he doesn't do something terrible to anyone. She sighed, breaking her thought on purpose. She has had enough on Ares. She tried on a couple of clothes, putting things together that matched up. She kind of felt wrong about doing this. After a few of them and refolding them up, she put on the old denim jeans and the black t-shirt she was wearing before. The clothes all seemed to be the same size, if not a bit lose for Raven. She walked to the door way shyly, still unsure of the place.

His mom poked her head back in. "Oh good you found somethings." She said, smiling. "We'll get those in a suitcase for you, and then we can head out." She went to go grab a suitcase for her. Jeremiah took his own suitcase downstairs and was sitting at the kitchen table.

Raven cautiously walked down the stairs. She was getting use to the atmosphere around the place, she still a bit edgy. Maybe it was her instincts kicking in. She walked through the house, till she found were Jeremiah was at. She walked into the kitchen, still being cautious.

He looked at her and started laughing. "The house isn't going to eat you. Come sit." He stood and pulled a chair out for her, then went over to the pantry. "Want something to eat?"

"Sorry. Just not use to a normal house, I guess you can say." She said as walked to the chair. "I'm fine right now." she said. She observed the kitchen. A decent size, country house design. It was just a normal for a kitchen.

He chuckled and pulled out some nutella. He grabbed a spoon and started eating some. "Sure you don't want anything?" He asked.

"Yeah, I'm sure." When edgy like she was, the girl couldn't think about her hunger. She sat there, waiting patiently to have everything to leave.
