Aliyah sat out in the hallway, her head resting on her shaky knees. She forced her tears to stop flowing and was glad Ronny hadn't followed her out she didn't feel like talking to him.
She played Kyle's words over and over again in her head.
"Not whether I've stolen something or not, but why I ran away?"
She knew perfectly well why he ran away. She saw it on the news, and even saw it in his eyes before then. The thing was, he ran away from his problems, Aliyah never ran away from her problems. Except today, she ran away from Kyle because she couldn't bear looking at him anymore. She didn't want to look at him, she wanted him to hold her like before.
He hadn't even said goodbye before he left, he just... left. That's what killed her the most, maybe she would have gone with him. It could have been an adventure, a grand adventure. She let out a bitter sigh before swiping the tears from her eyes.
What Kyle didn't know, was that Aliyah loved him, with all of her heart. He was like her hero, always there to tell her things would be fine, even when his own life was going down in flames.
He would never know what he stole, but she did.
He stole,

Ronny glared at Kyle before clearing his throat. "What is going on with her and you?" He asked, not caring how correct his grammar was, or even how he sounded. If Aliyah wouldn't tell him, this guy would.

((I'm sorry, I've had far too much of a sociable weekend. I'm off for the holidays, and I can honestly say I haven't had one full day's rest since I broke up from school ))

Kyle's eyes rolled to the sky at the remaining officer's question. Why was it that everyone in that building was so damn nosy? What happened between him and Aliyah was not this geezer's business. What made him think he deserved an answer, anyway? It had been his fault that Aliyah had been chosen to interrogate Kyle in the first place. Therefore, it was this officer's fault she had been upset. Kyle had had nothing to do with it. (Sure Kyle, sure xP)
He looked away in irritation, sinking into a slouch in his chair. He silently debate on whether or not to muse a clever, secretive comment in response, but soon decided against it. After seeing Aliyah's reaction to him being arrested, he wasn't in the mood. Besides, the mounains of alcohol he'd downed a few nights before still madeh is head feel blank.
"It doesn't matter." He mumbled, sinking his head to look down at his mucky, brown trainers. It's none of your business... he thought bitterly, not daring to meet the officer's eye. He didn't want tyhis. All he wanted was to go to his cell and sleep.
Sleep. There was a luxury he'd left behind the night he ran away. And how he missed it.
"Are we done here?" he snapped, finally bringing his head up to meet the boss' eye. They were slipping off the dubject... Although, he doubted they even started on the right track in the first place.

Ronny shook his head before saying, "You're gonna spend plenty of time here kid." He shoved Kyle before leaving the room.
Another officer walked in and pulled Kyle up off the chair before leading him into a cell. He shoved clothes into his hand before making him sit and yanking his boots off. He took his shoes and they had already checked the rest of him for anything else. He left the cell and locked the door before standing outside it. Waiting for Kyle to change into the new prison clothes. Robert let out a groan when he heard Aliyah sniffle. Ronny wouldn't tell him what was going on in there earlier. He didn't really care but it wasn't like Aliyah to cry.

((No worries I should have a few days where I'm completely free now, anyway. ^_^))

Kyle huffed as he was pulled to his feet, muttering a quiet "Counting on it," to the first officer as he left the room. He was left to another room - a concrete box with a bed and a single shelf below a barred window - and his handcuffs were unlocked in order for him to change. Thankful to have his hands free, he dumped the clothes on the bunkbed and wandered around the smallroom.
So this was what it was like to be in prison.
It was a good thing he wasn't claustrophobic.
Shrugging to himself, he turned back to his puile of clothes and slowly began to change, annoyingly so just to frustrate the officer outside the thick, metal door.
Once he had changed, he rolled up his clothes, which he admittedly was glad to be out of, he banged his fist on the door. "Alright, I'm done." He called, somewhat comforted by finally having the shelter he had faught desperately for over the years. It didn't bother him in the slightest about his sentence, nor his criminal record. At least he was safe.

Robert nodded and slowly opened the door before turning around and shutting it. "Hand me your clothes please." he demanded as he kept his hand on his gun. Just in case he needed it.

Ronny walked over to Aliyah and kicked her harshly in the side.
Aliyah peered up at him with a grunt, "What Ronny?" She hissed before looking back down.
"What the hell was going on back there?" Ronny asked, demanding to know.
"You don't need to know, it's none of your business." Aliyah replied with a roll of her eyes.
"Is too Lyah." Ronny told her harshly.
"Alright, he's someone I used to know, don't know him anymore. It was years ago anyways." She told him, part of that was truth, most of it actually.
"You need to talk to him, now." Ronny demanded her firmly his hands balled into fist.
"What do you want me to talk to him about?" Aliyah asked, eyebrows raised.
"Just talk to him Aliyah, I'm telling you to." He glared down at her, "And I am after all, your boss."
Aliyah let out a shaky, annoyed breath before climbing up off the floor. "Fine." She hissed and headed towards where the prisoners were kept.

Kyle took a step back as the door was opened, a small mountain of clothes cupped in his hands. The door snapped shut once again as the officer entered the room and ordered for him to give him his clothes. The idiot's hand was skimming his gun too, he noticed. What did he think Kyle was going to do? Kyle's eyes flickered teasingly down at the clothes scrunched up in his arms, then the officer, then back at the clothes. He continued this action for several moments, then released the clothes onto the floor, causing them to fall with a dull thud at the officer's feet. He then looked up at the jailer with a sweet smile, his eyes twinkling.
Yeah, that's right. I'm taking the micky, so what're you going to do about it?
He admitted, he was tired. But he was also interested to see how far he'd be able to push this prison's limits. Of course, having no room mate, he was going to be bored out of his head twenty-four seven. He needed something to do.
Plus, he so wanted to smack the sour look off this geezer's mug.
He was already planning on what he could do. When the idiot bent down to pick up the pile, he could kick his face, nick off with his keys and lock him in his cell. Aha! That would be most amusing. Then he'd stick his hands into his large, baggy pockets and stroll across the balcony, down the stairs, to the cafeteria and grab himself a bit of food.
Come to think of it, he still hadn't been given any food after what he'd tried to steal earlier in the morning. He was starving...
Was it nearly lunch time, yet? He wasn't really one for waiting.
He stared at the police officer, impatiently waiting for him to pick up the pile of clothes.

The officer eyed him curiously before bending over to pick up the clothes, he then went to stand back up slowly, hand still on the gun.

((Don't worry, thanks for giving him a chance to be an ass again XD))

Kyle watched the jailer with an amused smirk on his face. As the man began to rise from the floor, Kyle kneed him roughly in the face, just hard enough to delay him from any reaction - like getting out his gun. He lept over the crumpled body, friskily bending down to grab the guy's keys befpre turning round, opening the door and quickly slamming it shut behind him.
Well, that was easily done.
He glanced around the balcony curiously, before slipping his hands into his giant, baggy pockets and strolling down to the metal, spiral stairs by his cell. Not really caring whether there was screaming by his cell or not, he strolled down the steps with a light step and wandered to where he guessed the cafeteria was, grabbing a tray and serving himself some beans. He took the tray and sat down at the table just below his cell, smirking to himself.
In a few moments someone would realise he wasn't where he was supposed to be, and he would no doubt be punished.
Let 'em try he thought to himself, grabbed a plastic fork from the pot beside him - as metal ones were surely a murder weapon in disguise - and happily tucked into his lunch.

The man wrinkled his nose and winced when he felt blood leaking down it. "Shit." He muttered when he was finally able to see correctly.

Aliyah wandered down the hallway, a hand brushing the wall the whole way. For some reason she felt like she was in a nightmare. She pulled her hair out of her tight bun and un-tucked her shirt. She wasn't 'on duty' anymore seeing that she never was on duty. Not yet anyways. She let her hair fall lightly down her back, the blond ringlets cascaded down her back in a surprisingly orderly fashion. She was hungry, but knew if she ate something she would more then likely throw up. She shrugged to herself and kept walking towards the cafeteria. Her ice blue eyes were dull and somewhat lifeless and glossy looking as she waved to one of the officers that walked down the hallway, eating a doughnut. Of course, he was eating a doughnut. All policemen were supposed to be overweight and always be seen with a doughnut. That wasn't true in most cases. Ronny was extremely fit and athletic and probably had never even touched a doughnut in his life. She almost laughed at the thought and her eyes lit up. When she walked into the cafeteria she saw a few of the inmates and figured it was just the time for them to eat. She spied Phil, Danny and Rodger on duty with the inmates. But one didn't have an escort with him. Her eyebrows furrowed and she shrugged. She walked up to the counter and got her food before sliding in across from the one who wasn't accompanied by anyone. Her eyes hadn't lifted from her food until she took a bit then looked up.
Her heart stopped.
"Kyle..." She whispered, partly whispering to herself, telling herself he was actually there across from her. Great now what was she going to do? Just get up and leave?

Kyle looked up from his lunch to spot a female officer pulling up to sit opposite him. He swallowed the tomatoey mouthful and wiped his mouth with the back of his hand. She was fit, he could tell. Fit, healthy...
His eyes danced down to her hips.
Nice ass, too.
But wait a minute, the hair... He recognised it. It couldn't be...
Crap.
Back hunched into a frustrated souch, he let out a long sigh and rested his head on his fist. Looking down at the sloppy, orange slush on his tray he quietly scooped up a forkful and popped it in his mouth.
He didn't want to talk to Aliyah, nor did he ever. But her reaction to seeing him there was rather promising. Perhaps if he gave her a bit of lip, or acted ignorant enough she'd leave him alone. Unfortunately, his voice wasn't playing the game, coming out as nothing more than a low, tired mumble. "Why're you following me?" He asked flatly still staring aimlessly at his lunch. What did she want, anyway? He had nothing left to give her. He did want to see her tears again. He'd seen them more than enough that day, and he hadn't even been up long. "What do you want, Aliyah?"
Conscious that he'd used her name, he finally met her eyes, the shadowy bags below his eyelids seeming deeper and darker due to his lack of sleep. He didn't want this. He wanted to be alone.
He didn't want to have to remember anymore.

Aliyah didn't quite know how to respond to him. She drew in a deep breath of musty air and met her eyes with his. She wasn't going to cry this time, not again. She had cried enough earlier. She brushed her bang behind her ear again and sat there silently for about two minutes. "I'm not following you Kyle." She finally said then drew in a breath between her clenched teeth. She wanted to say something sassy, but refrained and fiddled with her food on her plate. "I know why you left Kyle." She whispered, "I guess I just thought that you would have taken me with you-" She paused before she said more and then continued, "But then again life isn't a dream and that was just a dream. Come to find out it's more like a nightmare."

His eyebrows twitched towards the plain, white ceiling as the soft words rumbled through his eardrums. I know why you left...
Did she? Did she really? How could she, when all the papers told her were physical facts? She couldn't possibly understand why he had done what he did, otherwise she would have told him. Hell, he barely understood why he'd fled in the first place. Of course, he felt unloved, uncared for by his own parents. Admittedly, the night he left everything behind, his mind was clouded. He knew the reasons why he'd left, but he didn't feel anything. No sadness, excitement, fear, anger, frustration. Nothing. And it had remained that way for pretty much his whole time on the run.
No, he decided, she doesn't know why I left. She doesn't have a ruddy clue.
"Take you with me...?" He stared at her as if she'd gone mad. Why the hell would he have taken her with him? Why would he be so heartless as to do that to her? He couldn't drag her away from all that she knew, her life, her family and friends! How selfish would he be? In fact, doing such a thing would make him even more selfish than he was already! "And why would I want to do that? I left because..." He let out a frustrated sigh and slapped his hand on the table angrily. "For goodness' sake, Al. This isn't some cheesy chick flick where I would climb up some bloody ivy bush up to your balcony, kiss you and ask you to run away with me. It had nothing to do with you!" Realising his voice level was increasing dangerously, he forced it back to a hushed whisper. "What I did was personal, alright? I did it because I'm selfish. I'm a selfish bastard. Is that what you want to hear?" He rolled his eyes and began poking at his food again. "Besides... No one would listen to me. I had no reason to stay there, anymore."

Aliyah's gaze flickered to Kyle then back down to the table. She wasn't going to be a cop after all if she had to deal with him on a regular basis. She gritted her teeth and looked back up at him. This wasn't going as planned. She felt her heart thumping in her chest. "I wouldn't want you to kiss me anyways Kyle." She hissed at him before she felt her breathing become heavy. She pulled out her inhaler and took a puff of it before letting out a long breath. She didn't even think she could pass the physical exam in order to be in the force anyways. Aliyah stared blankly across the room, being silent for several minutes. She didn't have anything more she wanted to say to him. She slid out of the booth stood up, picked up her dish and dipped her head in a polite gesture before looking at him one more time. "I would have listened." She told him, voice extremely soft before walking away, discarding her dish and quickly walking out of the cafeteria.

"Whatever." He said with a bitter, crooked smirk, swallowing another mouthful of beans. Had it have been an hour earlier, he would have wolfed the lot down. But Aliyah's presence seem to consume his appetite.
Pushing his tray from his body, he crossed his arms and rested them on the table. "And that's all good and well, but where does that leave me, now?" He shrugged, almost tempted to tell her that her caring about him didn't count. That he needed some real people to care about him. People that actually mattered. People that could actually help him.
But he remained silent.
Those words would not get him anywhere.
"I'm stuck in this hellhole, whether you like it or not. And to be honest, I don't think I should be here, anyway. I've done nothing wrong." He cocked his head, his eyes sparkling as his smirk widened into a stupid, almost sarcastic grin.

Aliyah stopped when she was in the doorway and she turned around, a slightly disgusted look on her face. She tilted her head to the side as a somewhat evil smirk crossed her face. She walked closer to his table and leaned on it with one hand, looking down at him with narrowed eyes.
"Wanna make a bet Kyle?" She hissed at him, the smirk still on her face as she tilted her head the other way, raising her eyebrows.
She wasn't going to play nice anymore.
"Well maybe, maybe I'll like having you stuck in this 'hellhole' I get to see you everyday and not worry about you running away this time." She offered him a crooked, evil grin. She shrugged and stared down at him, her eyes holding a disgust like they had never held before.

Kyle raised an eyebrow at her sudden change of attitude, wondering whether or not she weas actually being serious. He gazed stubbornly into her eyes for a moment, his eyes searching hers for any sign of weakness, or dishonesty. Aliyah couldn't be serious if she thought she'd be able to scare him wit her petty threats. He raised his chin, his own smirk sinking from his face. "Think of me what you will."
He wasn't going to say her name again, he didn't know the girl stood before him, now.
"I know you, honey. I know your threats are empty." He leaned forward in his seat, narrowing the space between their faces. Okay, he could play this game. He wasn't going to be the one that broke, not this time, not anytime. That was her job. "You think you can scare me, hiding behind that smart uniform and make me regret what I did. Well, guess what?" his lips parted into a bitterly amused chuckle. "You're wrong." He spoke in a mock singing tone, straightening up and rising to his feet. He towered over her by not much more than an inch or two, but he still felt on the higher ground. Stepping away from the bench, he stepped over to her and looked down at her with teasing eyes. "Oh, and you may not want to take me to my old cell..." He bowed his head to her ear, as if to tell her some sort of secret. "It's been - how should I put this - 'refurbished'." He clicked his tongue and winked at her pointedly. She could take that in whatever way she wished. He knew he had painted the walls with that jailers blood.
The thought made him chuckle.

Aliyah swallowed hard and bit her tongue. She wasn't going to give in to the likes of him. Fire burned inside her as she glared at him again. Did he think she was joking? If he had changed why couldn't she? How did the best of friends turn into the worst of enemies in just two years? What had made him so bitter? Now she didn't want him to love her, that was the furthest thing from her mind.
Her eyebrows furrowed when he mentioned his cell being 'refurbished' she didn't quite know what he was talking about so she shrugged it off. She was silent, ignoring his meaningless words as she led him out of the cafeteria. She walked quickly making sure he stayed with her as she walked him to his cell.

Kyle chuckled to himself as he was led to his cell, stopping just by the door. He leant coolly by the brick wall beside it, pressing his ear against it to see if he could hear any screaming coming from inside. But of course, the sound proof doors locked out almost all of the sound, no matter how loud the screaming. Oh well. Al would find out soon enough.
Still, the thought that she may not be able to handle it lingered inside his mind.
Perhaps he should warn her...
"I wouldn't open that door, if I was you, honey. I don't think you'd like it"
She wasn't 'man' enough for this job, anyway. She didn't even have a gun because she wasn't an official officer. Pathetic...
To Hell with it! If she wanted to open that door, she could.

Aliyah raised an eyebrow at him before pulling out her cell key and unlocking the door. She stood for a moment before grabbing his arm and shoving him towards it. She swung the door open and her eyes widened, her jaw dropped open. "Mr. Wilcot!" She hissed, speaking to Kyle as she stared at the officer laying on the floor.

Kyle pressed his lips together to hide a smirk as the door swung open, using all his body weight to fight off her grip. He wasn't going to let himself be dominated by this annoying female. What had happened to Aliyah? Where had the shy, kind-hearted girl he'd once known disappeared to? He wasn't too fond of this new recruite. She was too...
He couldn't even find the word.
So he gave up thinking about it altogether. It hurt his head.
"That's Wilmott." He corrected smugly, glancing down at the officer with his arms crossed over his chest. He leant back on the inner wall of his cell and smirked in amusement at the crumpled body on the floor. "And that is one beat up sissy." He looked back up at Aliyah. "You see what I mean with the 'refurbished'? I think the blood makes a fine touch."

Aliyah rolled her eyes again and backed up slightly. Taking out her walkie-talkie she called in back-up. she knew she couldn't handle Kyle on her own. Biting her lip she waited and waited. The only reason she had hardened like this was because of everything that had happened. Kyle leaving. Her mother dying, nothing was right anymore. Her mother was killed, that's why she was in the force now. That way she could keep other people from being murdered. At least try to. It was a hard job though, and most times she absolutely hated it. But it was something she could actually do. Also the rush of adrenaline you got when chasing a criminal was like no other. She was just about fearless now and knew how to lock herself up and block everything out. Only Kyle could make her cry now. That was pretty much it.

"Naww... Do you have to be such a spoil-sport?" Kyle sneered, snickering at her expression. he surprised himself by realising how cute she actually looked, but then quickly forced the thought aside. She wasn't the girl he knew. She'd already gone a seperate way to him, and they were pretty much opposites.
Opposites attract...
No. Shut up. She's a police woman. She's only here for my entertainment.
Of course, who else was he going to spend his time annoying? The jailer was going to be no help, especially in the state he was in.
You know, with his blood smeared all over the walls...
Kyle smiled at the sight. He shrugged, turned to her, and raised his eyebrows at her attempt at being careful. What, did she think he was going to kill her?
"What? I was bored." He shrugged. "Anyway, if you're done looking at me as if I've grown a new head, I think I need a bit of fresh air." Was it even time to go outside? He hadn't been given a schedule.
Oh well.
With that he raised a hand in a casual wave and strolled past her onto the coridoor. Now then, where to go?
Thinking about it, he had a sudden urge to go to a gym. He needed something to get his mind off the fact that he was locked up in this hellhole...
