I followed them in and sat on the chair in the corner.

I gave them my health info and and told the about how my horse had spooked(didn't mention Derek.)Then I sat there while the doc poked and prodded at my head.He said it was just a minor cut and had the nurses wash it up.I singed the papers so I could leave."Ready?"I asked Derek.

"Yepp." I said as I took her hand to lead her back outside.

I let him hold my hand on the way out to the truck.When we got there I got back in snapped mt seat belt and waited for him to get in.

I hopped in the truck and started it up. "Sorry about the comment I made earlier."

I was still ignoring him,so I just crossed my arms and and looked at the window.I use to be the person at my old school who would hold grudges.

I turned the truck off. "We can sit here all night. I have night Shift."

"Actually we can't cause this is my dads truck and he'll be wanting it back soon."was all I said.I refused to even look in his direction.

"And she speaks!" I said turning the truck back on.

"And she is still pissed."I said simply.

"And he's still sorry." I said. Pulling out of the parking lot on the way back to the barn.

"Ya well I have no idea why someone would be ashamed of being an outcast.I am and you don't see me hiding behind a curtain because of it."I said angrily.

"Because I've never been one!" I almost shouted. "I've always been the one making outcast not being one!"

I laughed without an humor,"You are such a flake."I said rolling my eyes.

"A flake?" I said looking at her.

I rolled my eyes and looked at him,"Ok how about,a barbie,or a plastic?You know a knockoff."I said really slow, again, like he was dumb.

I pulled into the driveway of the barn and stopped. "Okay listen! I'm not stupid so stop talking to me like that! I'm not the guy that you're making me out to be!"

"Really?Well it looks like that to me!"I said and got out of the truck and went to get Shadow.I stopped in the barn when I saw a different horse in the stall I had left him in.

"Ayla." I said as I followed her into the barn.

I turned,"Wheres Shadow?"I asked.I had got him from a friend when he was a foal,and if he had gotten lose or anything I would probably break down and cry.

Moved the horse from Charms stall to work arena.

I jogged back over to Ayla. "He's in the arena right through that gate." I said pointing to a stock pannel.

I walked/jogged over to the arena and took a deep breath when I saw Shadow there.I climbed over the gate effortlessly and walked over to him."Hey Shadow!"I said and swung onto his back like an indian."Hey do you guys have a race track here?"I asked Derek.I started Shadow into a graceful trot around the arena.

"Yeah, I'll take you." I said. I grabbed a halter and the closest horse. I jumped up on him bareback, "Follow me." I said and urged my horse into a trot.

I followed him at a trot."So how did you get a job here?"I asked curiously.

"My parents used to own it. Before I was even born. They sold it when I was 6. I cam back just to see how it was doing and I ended up getting a job. My parents still dont know I come out here. THey dont even know I remember the place." I said.
