"But what?" Bella asked him, golden eyes staring up at him with a certain sharpness to them.

"Well. It's just hard, you know." He shrugged. "You remind me a lot of her." He said quietly.

"Oh..." Bella said softly and swaallowed thickly. "I'm sorry." She told him.

"No, that's not a bad thing." Alex said with a chuckle.

"It's not?" Bella asked surprised as she pushed her hair away from her eyes.

"No silly! It's not at all!" He shook his hair out of his eyes with a smile.

"Oh," Bella said with a nod, "I mean I would just... I dunno feel strange if I met someone who reminded me of Peter."

"Hmm yeah. I dunno. I mean no one could ever replace her but you two just...I dunno you have the same sort of air about you that she had." He sighed and leaned back, closing his eyes.

Bella shrugged, "Never met anyone like Peter." She smiled to herself, "He was the strangest, most amazing guy, I've ever met."

"I'm sure." He said softly, almost spacily. He wasn't really paying attention.

"I guess we'd better get going then..." Bella said when she realized he probably wasn't even interested. She walked back around to her side of the Jeep and climbed in.

"Huh? Oh yeah." He mumbled, and climbed into the passenger's seat.

"Well now this is awkward." Bella said biting her lip. She gritted her teeth before starting the Jeep and pulling out onto the highway in complete silence.

He looked over at her. "Do you want to go back?"

"I'll have nothing to do but sit around if I go back." Bella told him, an obvious tone to her voice.

((Bahah, this is getting slow.))

"Well okay then." He said, shrugging her tone off.

[time skip to Sunset Strip? hehehe that rhymed! i can make a rhyme any time..]

"Okay, make a left and we'll find a place to park, because there it is."

Bella took a left and drove around the parking lot before finding a place to park. "So why is it called Sunset Strip?" She asked with a raise of her eyebrows after pushing her hair behind her ear.

"Dunno. Maybe because it looks cool at sunset. Guess we'll find out." He said with a grin as he got out.

Bella shrugged and climbed out of the Jeep. She bit her lip and leaned on the side with a sigh before walking over to where Alex was. She pulled her long curls up into a ponytail before tilting her head, "Alright." She nodded.

He smiled and started walking down the sidewalk. The Sunset Strip was a road, and you could see the Hollywood Hills. He looked around. "Okay, we can go wherever you want to."

"I don't care where we go." Bella told him with a shrug. She looked at the ground before wincing and grabbing her shoulder violently. "That was strange." She muttered before looking over at Alex, "How long have you lived here?"

He looked at her worriedly. "Uh...my whole life."

"Nice," Bella forced a smile before grabbing her shoulder again. "God." She hissed but kept walking, "Where is your favorite place besides in the water?" She chuckled.
